Hello all!??I'm a bit of a lurker, but I do read each and every post and I've been thinking of you all, I just never seem to find the time to post! My work skirt that I wore today is so tight already- I'm actually considering wearing my maternity trousers tomorrow! Anyone else? I'm hoping that it's all bloating etc, and not necessarily a sign of multiple babies! So happy to hear it was good southy, that's great!

Daphnedolittle · 15/09/2015 22:14

Thanks pinkbubbles - I know I need to try and relax. It's really hard. I think I'll see how I feel the next couple days as I have a booking in appointment on Friday so can discuss with Dr if need be.
I always crave fruit and juice too! Wondered if I was dehydrated. I find it helps with the nausea.

Welcome Tod Smile

99percentchocolate · 15/09/2015 22:18

Just checked a bit further back now I have time to catch up.

I'm so sorry Maud, I hope you are doing ok and that you have real life support.

Welcome to the thread Grouchy and Tod. Hope you are feeling ok.

Daphne - my sickness in first pregnancy was coming and going for the first couple of weeks before it got established. Looks like it is going the same way this time too (though just nausea and aversion to food at the moment)

My trousers don't fit either, had a comical scene trying to pull them closed the other day and my boss mentioned my shirt is already straining from the week before. Can't find any maternity work trousers anywhere though so may have to go with a stretchy pencil skirt instead!

evs34 · 15/09/2015 22:20

I had to eat raw onion, garlic and lemon for my tea! Smelling great now!!! It is so weird what it does to you.
Good news southy
Xx

evs34 · 15/09/2015 22:21

Ps
Can't find anywhere to scan before 7 weeks. Such a long wait. Time is going sooooo slowly

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 22:24

pink I have to have spicy food/savoury as everything tastes bland, I also have no interest in sweet things - which is really weird for me!

Hi tod :) welcome

That's a strange dinner evs maybe the lemon will balance out the onion and garlic Grin

99percentchocolate · 15/09/2015 22:35

Wow evs, that is quite a tea! Wink

TodmordensDog · 16/09/2015 00:02

I posted a little while back but I'm 5+3 or 4(!) and and due date buddies with mamama on 14th may. This will be dc2, ds1 is almost 18 months at the minute. ????Glad I'm not the only one with trouser issues, I feel ridiculous is maternity stuff at not even 6 weeks though! There's no way I'll be keeping this a secret until 12 weeks at this rate!

ODog · 16/09/2015 06:24

Great news Southy.

DS up about a thousand times again last night and up for the day at 5.30! I thought the darker mornings would help, but he seems to be getting up earlier. Oh well, all good practice for starting night feeds again (or one continuous all night boob party if like DS).

7 weeks today

Daphnedolittle · 16/09/2015 07:40

Happy 7 weeks ODOG! Smile

I can't really join in with the toddlers waking you all up but my cat did instead.
Walked all over me at 4am meowing, the little terror. I apparently didn't leave him enough space in the bed to get comfy Smile

Greyhorses · 16/09/2015 07:47

Hope everyone is feeling okay today!

All of my symptoms have vanished, it's hard to get my head around when I don't feel pregnant or different at all, I hope I get some sort of symptom soon. I am 5+6 today. Confused

I also told work which was interesting...I have spent my week running away from anything dangerous Grin

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 16/09/2015 08:15

Ha ha EVS, that's quite a tea! All I want to eat at the moment is pasta. Pasta, pasta, pasta. And veggies.

My Drs surgery is really annoying and I always find the receptionists on the phone really rude (one time, the lady hung up on me and I was NOT best pleased!). So I thought I'd book an appointment online. The earliest I could book in for with a GP is 30 September. At that point, I'll be 7+3. Is that okay? Or should I ring up and try and get in sooner? I have this really irrational fear of the doctors telling me I'm doing it all wrong. Actually, not that irrational as I had a TERRIBLE experience at this drs when I was 20, and my GP had a massive go at me for going to see him to get a repeat pill prescription. In his words 'I wouldn't go to the oldest male doctor in town to get your prescription anymore.' It's kind of put me off doctors. So I hate going. And I never go unless I REALLY have to.

Really I should just find a new doctors surgery shouldn't I?

How are we all feeling today, ladies?! DH left the house this morning and said "Have a good day, you two!" which made me grin. No sickness here yet, but just mild nausea throughout the day (which seems to peak late afternoon).

Muffin7 · 16/09/2015 08:23

ToffeeAppleMarsBar my first appt is 30th Sept, at which point I will be 8+4, apparently that is the earliest that my doctors will see me. Seems very late but I have no choice really, I'm just having to do a lot of reading to check I'm doing everything right.

Mamama31 · 16/09/2015 08:25

Toffee that should be fine, I'm having my early scan on 28th at 7+2 then have booked GP app for 30th ill be 7+4, so I think generally before 8 weeks to arrange booking in is fine and gives time to get 12 wk scan scheduled.

Re trousers not fitting, I bought jeggings yesterday as felt too early to buy maternity stuff but I wear a lot of skinny jeans and they are just too tight and uncomfortable now around my tummy so the jeggings have a bit more flexibility and they still look like jeans so they were a good buy :)

5+4 today....Zzzzz...time is going soooooo slowly.....yawn.....

Mamama31 · 16/09/2015 08:26

Oh and hi Tod, my due date buddy! :) hope your good! Any more symptoms I can compare with???

BrassMonkey84 · 16/09/2015 09:30

Hi everyone. Can I join you? Got a bpf yesterday. Reckon I'm 4 weeks although periods a bit all over the place after coming off the pill. EDD 20th May. Already have 21 month DS.
Feeling really well so far and no symptoms what so ever. Was like this with DS. DH still in shock! Says he didn't expect it to happen so quickly!

BrassMonkey84 · 16/09/2015 09:35

bfp even!

Mamama31 · 16/09/2015 09:37

Welcome brassmonkey and congrats! Maybe your in for a symptom free pregnancy!

Those of you who have had your booking in appointment or gp advice- what's the protocol now re nuts? Can we eat them or not? Just realised I've been eating peanuts in crunchy nut cornflakes, ive also had nutella but they are hazelnuts and I think they are ok?

Also re highlighting hair? My roots are shocking, is it safe to continue with dying hair in the first 12 weeks? I would def wait until after my first early scan at 7+2 but not sure I'd get away with waiting until after 12 wks as my hair is highlighted blonde and will look hideous!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 16/09/2015 09:55

Welcome Brassmonkey! And big congratulations on your exciting news! Welcome to the club. Fingers crossed for a smooth and easy pregnancy for you!

Ahh, decided to ring the drs and check that was okay and she said yes to the 30th Sept appointment. Actually, the lady on the phone was really nice so that makes me feel a lot better! She said I could self-refer to the midwife if I wanted and that I'd be seen by a midwife at 10 weeks but I'm off on our belated honeymoon before then so I'd quite like to see the dr first just to check if there's anything I should be wary of when in Morocco. Especially as we've booked in to do two days of mountain walks!

About trousers not fitting - I'm quite lucky (lucky?!) as I have a HUGE bum anyway so a lot of my trousers are very big around the waist as I have to have bigger sizes to accommodate my arse!! HA HA. So no trouble getting those done up at the moment. I do feel like my belly has ballooned with bloating though.

Oh god, know nothing about nut eating or dying my hair. Meant to be having my highlights touched up on Saturday! Do I or don't I? Or should I check with my hairdresser? She's pregnant herself at the moment, funnily enough!

Mamama31 · 16/09/2015 10:02

Toffee wow that trip to Morocco sounds immense! You will be tired though with hill walking etc. My gp app is also on the 30th, so we can compare notes! Haha!

Yeh maybe check with your hairdresser....then you can tell me what she says lol!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 16/09/2015 10:39

Welcome Brassmonkey! Ooh, Mamama31 I have the same question about highlights, I was just about to get mine done on pay day...

Just did a quick Google, and general concensus seems to be that it's ok. More likely that actual packet dye would be a problem as that is massaged into your scalp while highlights are usually painted on.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 16/09/2015 10:40

*consensus. can't spell today!

PosterEh · 16/09/2015 11:18

I think nuts are fine unless you have a family history of nut allergies. Highlights fine too.

I agree with time passing so slowly.

Is anyone else having the harmony scan? The nuchal test isn't offered as standard where I live so I was thinking of seeing if my insurance would cover the harmony test instead.

PosterEh · 16/09/2015 11:19

I mean harmony test not harmony scan. Brain not working properly atm.

Blil3 · 16/09/2015 11:36

I've been eating peanut butter most days, think it's only if known allergies you have to be cautious. Got my highlights done at the weekend, it's apparently okay if it's foils as it's not on your scalp.
I'm also super bloated, only 7 weeks today!
What's the harmony scan?
Time is definitely dragging-Off to Barcelona for a few days which should help pass the time!
Hope you're doing okay Maud.
