Bbc2 prog with Michael Mosely about to start, documenting the first 8 weeks from conception!

Bishboshbash · 14/09/2015 20:58

I worked full time when preg with ds and I used to nap when I got home from work until DH got in at 8! Might have to reinstate that habit again this time round.
Just switched on bbc2 now, thanks for the heads up!

Mamama31 · 14/09/2015 21:27

Oh I wonder if that programme will be repeated somewhere have missed half!

ODog · 14/09/2015 22:04

I shouldn't have watched it. I was quite relaxed before but now I'm just aware of all the stuff that can go wrong! Shock

99percentchocolate · 14/09/2015 22:10

Blil3 - Glad to hear your dh is coming around, was thinking of you.

Tiffany - I'm sitting on my hands to save my doing another test! I think if I got a false negative or fainter line I would freak out and I want to avoid that!

I've definitely heard of itchy skin as a symptom too!

99percentchocolate · 14/09/2015 22:11

Oh no ODog!

PearlyFish · 14/09/2015 22:21

Well if they'd more accurately titled it 'Bizarre stuff that can go wrong in the first 8 weeks' then I wouldn't have mentioned it Confused

If you haven't already watched it, perhaps wait until... Well maybe leave it 8 months! Sorry Odog Blush

About half way through me and DH looked at each other and said "maybe we shouldn't have watched this..." Haha oh dear, I have had kfc and dominoes pizza in the last fortnight, poor baby...

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 14/09/2015 22:39

DH and I have just decided to turn it off! We were both getting very nervous haha

Excelsa · 14/09/2015 23:03

Following the glowing recommendations Wink... about to watch Michael Mosley programme. Eating a small packet of Starmix haribo snaffled from DS1 - will I regret this?

PearlyFish · 15/09/2015 06:55

Lol Excelsa Grin How did you find it?

Welcome and congrats Cant. Exciting times!

Sleepy high fives to mama and the 5am crew. I wasn't in your number this morning but I am feeling knackered as DD woke in the night... yawn ...

ODog · 15/09/2015 07:06

Welcome cant. I'm not waking up myself lots in the night but DS woke about a thousand times last night, ended up in our bed sleeping horizontally and was up for the day at 6am. please let this one be a sleeping one

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 15/09/2015 08:02

Thank you Pearlyfish and Odog :)

Mamama31 · 15/09/2015 08:07

Pink I usually just lie there trying so hard to get back to sleep until my alarm goes off at 7.30am, sometimes I am successful and get back over....like last night YES!!!!!! but other times I just lie wide awake and just as my alarm goes off I feel as though I could sleep...sods law!!

Oh I was going to try and get that programme on iplayer, maybe that's not such a good idea now...I am curious though!

I hope everyone has a nice day today. Southy my thoughts and prayers are with you so hoping for a positive outcome and scan!

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 09:04

Congrats icantthink what did you see at your scan? I have one today but not sure what to expect. Feeling so nervous, had cramps most of the night :(

Thank you mama x

Mamama31 · 15/09/2015 09:20

Icant how many weeks/days were you for your early scan? Glad it went well for you!

Starryeyed1001 · 15/09/2015 09:30

So lovely to see all the new people joining hi newbies x Is anyone else struggling to turn over in bed cuz their boobs are so sore or is it just me x

BeckleinDisguise · 15/09/2015 09:40

Hello all! Welcome to the new BFPers ??

southy sorry to hear you've had such a rough few days, it's great news that your HCG gas gone up so much and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your scan today. I bled, heavily at times, during most of my other pregnancies regardless of outcome, sometimes it just happens. The worst one was DS who is now a strapping 15yo where I bled heavily several times.

mamama I feel your worry, it's very hard after a mmc not to compare the new pregnancy with the missed one. During one of mine I continued with all symptoms getting worse right up until a scan at 11w revealed I'd mc at 5. Try not to worry though as every pg I've had has been different in symptoms and such.

I really wish they offered early scans here as routine, I wonder how much they cost privately? I've got my dating scan at 12 weeks but because I'll be away (it's half-term and we're going to Euro Disney ??) I've got to wait until 13 weeks, they won't do it any earlier than 12 ??. I've got a blood test next week though to check my thyroid levels and a booking I appt with the midwife in 3 weeks. Little steps... 6 weeks today

I don't think I'm nauseous, but I'm not sure, food tastes really bland (apart from olives which taste really strong) and I'm a bit lightheaded at times, I think if I didn't know I was pg then I probably wouldn't notice though! I do seem to have very regular bowels though (tmi!) which is not like me, has anyone else found this?

Congrats greyhound! Exciting news ??

BeckleinDisguise · 15/09/2015 09:42

Sorry for all the question marks, it appears that that's what emojis get turned into it you don't use the MN ones! Grin

BeckleinDisguise · 15/09/2015 09:44

starry OMG yes! I'm thinking of getting a sports bra to sleep in just to give them some support, it's not even like they're that big! I mean they are for me but they were fairly small to start with Blush

Starryeyed1001 · 15/09/2015 10:17

Mine are quite big to begin with...not sure they have got bigger but are definitely heavier. I feel like I have a pair of bowling balls strapped to my chest x

MaudGonneMad · 15/09/2015 10:18

Hello, checking back in - and out, I'm afraid.

The brown spotting turned into bright red bleeding on 5+1, and I'm pretty sure I've miscarried. Going for a scan in a few days to confirm, but a hpt this morning was extremely faint Sad

I'm off to find the thread for TTC after miscarriage - will be difficult though, as DH works away 4 days a week from this week Sad
