Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 37th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 36th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 52nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Thanks pretzel I'm glad I've at least been referred, so will get seen eventually as its only getting worse as I get older.

Thanks all for your input, I've decided to go ahead and book the private cervical scan as its better to be safe than sorry, the consultant also works at the NHS hospital but this is his private practice so hopefully he can provide reassurance. Anxiety in pregnancy is proving to be very expensive! As mentioned in my pp I'm staying away from the boards for now as I also don't want to bring others down, as I wish I could just enjoy my pregnancy like the vast majority! I'm still on the FB group though as I love seeing people's scan/baby news etc. Take care xx

CarrotPuff · 18/08/2015 13:27

Looking if one scan was transabdominal and another transvaginal I wouldn't compare the two.

Have you tried speaking about your anxiety with a MW? Maybe they will be able to refer you sooner?

Take care pet Flowers

goodnessgraciousgouda · 18/08/2015 13:44

Who was it complaining about gas the other day? I think it was Tattoo? Man, trapped wind can be so epically painful!!!! What's worse is that there really is no solution other than frantically squatting like an enormous toad on speed and hoping it sorts itself out.

second - lie ins are amazing. Maybe your head was just still in a fog from the glory of getting more sleep Grin

Sorry for everyone getting bad dreams about the birth - although if it's any consolation I'm sure it's completely normal! Personally I think you'd have to mad not to have at least some degree of panic about the whole "pushing baby out of nether regions" scenario!! I haven't had many pregnancy dreams lately. Last dream I had about it was ages ago - I had the baby in the cot and literally had no clue what the fuck I was supposed to be doing.

On the topic of cervixes, I've just had a letter from the dr through, saying that a test I did.....over a month ago....shows I need to take some antibiotics. I'm secretly hoping it will help with my cold like symptoms (note: I know it probably won't). Apparently they are internal tablets as well, which is a bit freaky as I've never used a pessary before. What if it just falls out?! Shock

goodnessgraciousgouda · 18/08/2015 13:45

Plural of cervix - cervii?

Purpleball · 18/08/2015 14:17

Cervices?

Just had health visitor round for a chat. Was all very pleasant, she's given me lots of leaflets about classes and BF etc.
I know from MN there are good and bad ones, she seemed like a reasonable one and didn't say anything too outlandish Smile

I don't have anything to add to the cervix conversation but if anxiety is bad then definitely see your GP

Midwife next job to talk birth plans Smile
Maternity leave is all go SmileSmile

pretzelpieces · 18/08/2015 14:29

purple glad your hv is not a knob

So far been waiting an hour at the hospital including being shunted from waiting room to waiting room. It is boring and stressful. I'm so glad I'm getting all this extra support I don't even bloody need Hmm

gaggiagirl · 18/08/2015 15:17

purple I had my HV out last week for the same thing I got my visit early because cross ginger needed her pre school health check so they just combined the two. I like HVs.

MrsTattoo · 18/08/2015 15:22

yep gouda it was me, although now it has reversed and I can't stop burping that might be down to all the fizzy water and cheese toasties though

A work mate found out last night, didn't choose to tell her but a bit difficult to hide when mid conversation you vomit into your own hands with no warning and have to run away to dispose of vomit hands Blush Grin luckily it was someone I would of told first anyway and not one of the other less desirable & gossipy members of staff!

5hell · 18/08/2015 15:51

looking i'm sure it's fine and just measurment vaiation between sonographers, methods etc, but if the provate scan will put your mind at ease then go for it...i'm sure the consultant will be great.

mini moan warning...
this is the first full day i've worked in 11 days and i'm struggling, i so want to go home and veg-out!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 18/08/2015 16:05

Ooh I'm back! Felt a bit bereft for a while!
babycake was absolutely grand and wiggled away enthusiastically so feel a million times better. Just want to get the 20w scan now so I can start clothes shopping!

tattoo how utterly horrific for you! You poor thing!

I'll be telling my manager tomorrow. Scary stuff

pretzelpieces · 18/08/2015 16:13

Yay would so pleased for you.

Mental health midwife was lovely when I FINALLY saw her and just asked general questions like what flavour of crazy I have, what might have cause it, is there anything I'm particularly anxious about, is my partner supportive. She also checked my wee and blood pressure and listened to baby's heartbeat. Took her a while to find it and although I know that's normal at this stage it was a worrying moment. All fine. Smile

CarrotPuff · 18/08/2015 16:39

gouda sorry you are feeling rubbish, here's some Brew and Cake

V glad you had a nice meeting with your HV. Mine was quite useless, she said if I want a glass of wine while bfing I'll need to pump and dump Hmm

Oh dear MrsT, it seems that MS is quite bad for you. Maybe it will be a bit easier at work now that someone knows?

Pretzel yay for hb and positive appt!

Would awesome news!

Took DS to GP who said although split lips can look quite bad they heal v quickly. I knew he would have said that, and tbh only went in because DP was overly anxious about swelling. I'm much more chilled out than him! It already looks a bit better, and DS didn't even wince when I was brushing his teeth this morning.

So tired today...

honeysucklejasmine · 18/08/2015 17:25

I am still in my pants and vest top. I spent the morning throwing up and the afternoon trying not to.

Cake YAY!

Pretzel glad it went well, yay for heart beat!

Carrot glad DS is feeling OK. When do you hear about job things?

I emailed the lady who contracts out to me today, to let her know my limited availability this year. Hope she can still use me, I really don't want to do supply.

I'm in!

gaggiagirl · 18/08/2015 18:04

Sorry to the sickly viroids!
I only had one day when I puked but I did feel like I wanted too very often.
I've decided I'm definitely having another girl. This is based on absolutely nothing Smile

CarrotPuff · 18/08/2015 18:43

They said by the end of the week as they are interviewing more ppl at the beginning of this week. I'm hoping it means interviews Mon & Tues so potentially a call tomorrow. The ones who will contact me are from Recruitment dept, and the ones who interviewed me said they are generally quite good with coming back quickly, and mentioned something about mid-week. Really hope so, hate being stuck in limbo. If I don't get this job I will cry...

NFMD: fish & chips tonight!

I've over done it today I think.
I feel dreadful.

ga you must have some reasoning behind that statement!
Also keeping a beady eye out for Indigo posts Smile

ThursdayLast · 18/08/2015 19:38

Oh would I'm so happy you had a happy scan!

gaggiagirl · 18/08/2015 20:07

Thursday I suppose because the viroids are statistically due a girl baby. Indigo will be having a girl. It seems like most October bus passengers are expecting boys too. So by the laws of mathematics mine will be a girl.
NFMD spag bol with olives. My olives had gone off though. Tasted fizzy.

ThursdayLast · 18/08/2015 20:15

Ah I see, the logic of maths Wink

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/08/2015 20:25

looking I was just reading back your post. Have you ever considered private therapy? I don't want to discourage you from CBT but it does seem that airing your anxieties doesn't really help them. The NHS CBT is basically just talking about your feelings with someone.

gaggiagirl · 18/08/2015 20:28

Yeah maths! Also DD wont accept for a moment that new baby might be a boy. She neeeeeeeeeds a sister so she claims.

TriJo · 18/08/2015 21:40

Early scan today, apparently I am 9 weeks along when I thought I was more like 7 and I'm now due before Easter (March 22nd). Just one baby thankfully, a nice steady 170bpm heartbeat and measuring 22mm.
