Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 37th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 36th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 52nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

rhi funnily enough I've started packing mine! The community midwife was quite firm that I be prepared. So far I have filled DDs Disney princess pull along case with massive knickers, crop tops, nappies and a hair bobble. Progress!
sky what a shame about XH. He'll come round to it. Mine did and he is usually 99% twat.
bat sorry about your friends. Sounds really sad.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 16/08/2015 20:57

Thanks lovely viroids.

Those of you who want to stay in bed and be brought stuff, I think that's completely reasonable!

batfish · 16/08/2015 20:59

Oh actually I've got shit loads of breast pads! I bought 2 boxes and then 2 friends have given me their leftovers! And my mum kindly bought me a 5 pack of size 20 knickers the other day. I laughed a lot and then was horrified and then I tried them on and.....kept them on. So goddamn comfy.

MollyBloomYes · 16/08/2015 21:09

bat I'm definitely not still wearing my massive tent like undies I bought to go over my c section scar while it healed -15 months ago- oh no. Really sorry about your friends, always a horrid one. Positive that they're willing to give talking things through a go though?

sky hopefully your ex just needs a bit of time to get used to it? Flowers for you though, not nice

ThursdayLast · 16/08/2015 21:11

Hello all!

sky you are not responsible for your XDH feelings. Don't feel guilty, he'll definitely come around.

rhi, sorry you're feeling blue Brew

bat I'm sorry for your friends - I'm sure you'll be a wonderful support to your friend when you see her.

Love all the maternity bag chat , bringing back some happy memories Smile. It had never occurred to me that you need pads when your waters broke - mine were packed in the 'after' bag way out in the hospital car park. DH was quickly dispatched!

We had a lovely day, macdonalds breakfast, stomp on the beach (DS got naked Grin) then we all had a massive nap and I lounged around reading my book and then we got fish and chips for tea Grin

gaggiagirl · 16/08/2015 21:26

Thursday that sounds like a lush day! Really nice.
bat my sister gave me a bag full of huuuuuuuge knickers. Too huge for her. Delightful on me. So comfy.

Jcandy · 16/08/2015 21:27

I've just managed to get through a 13 hour shift without feeling like I'm dying Grin

Thanks for the new fred honey

Sky it's hard but you move on a different paces. He'll come round it may just have been a bit of a shock.

gaggiagirl · 16/08/2015 21:40

Yay JC!!!! When does your mat leave start?

Toast85 · 16/08/2015 21:47

Macdonalds breakfast you say Thursday? I need one of those- but they only have their breakfast menu at breakfast time dammit! Sounds like an awesome day.

Loving the big pants here too

ThursdayLast · 16/08/2015 21:49

DS even obliged by having a three hour nap Shock.

13 hour shift JC makes me feel faint just thinking about it, well done!

ThursdayLast · 16/08/2015 21:51

Also planning veg-packed meals tomorrow to make up for double whammy fast food day. Poor DS & DH are being brought down with me and my terrible diet!

Jcandy · 16/08/2015 22:05

Mat leave doesn't start for another 12 weeks so got a lot more 13 hour shifts to get through before then Confused

oneyorkshirepud · 16/08/2015 22:15

Oh well done JC, glad you are feeling better.

Flowers Bat, sorry about your friends, I hope they can work it out.

Rhi, particularly sorry that the custard tart didn't cheer you up, that's rubbish! Hope you feel better, can you talk to your DP about it?

Sky, I think it is okay for your ex to feel like that for a bit iyswim? A case of what could have been/that this is a big step away from him, but as the others have said I'm sure he will come around and be happy for you also, try not to fret if you can.

Goodnight all and 5hell gx for you for tomorrow.

mountaingirl01 · 16/08/2015 22:16

You can do it jc! The long shifts really are the killers, but you're doing so well. Do you mix short and longs? not counting the hours till I finish, oh no

sorry for accidentally having the last say on the last Fred Blush

It's horrible when friends split up bat always makes me feel weirdly guilty for being happy.. You're being a great friend just by being there though, and hopefully they will talk things through Flowers

News from my nursery (nfmn) we now have a cot! It doesn't have a mattress, but other than that I might actually now have bought things and be prepared Shock I even washed some baby clothes today, which just looked so adorable on the line with our clothes. should probably do more than think briefly about my maternity bag

mountaingirl01 · 16/08/2015 22:20

Oh and completely with you rhi on the glad they work/wish they didn't thing. Dh has just come off a run of 9 nights, and it's really horrible when they are not around. I feel especially needy at the moment (hoping thats just the hormones, I'm not usually). Big unmumsnetty hugs for you. (But oh have you just given me a craving for custard tarts!)

Good luck tomorrow 5hell

Toast85 · 16/08/2015 22:29

I've just checked back to the stats list- were all storming on at a good pace aren't we?!
And we've not heard from indigo in a few days have we... Has she done a baby I wonder?
JC I honestly don't know how anyone manages a 12 hour shift, luckily I don't have to do them unless i'm on-call and its busy so end up carrying on after normal hours instead of going home and just back again if the phone goes- but that is once in a blue moon.
Exciting you have your mat leave date planned!
Mountain when do you go on yours?
I can not wait for mine.

Indigoblue2 · 16/08/2015 23:03

I'm here, I've just gone a bit hermit in my final few weeks! Still on the Epi No till D Day Smile

pretzelpieces · 16/08/2015 23:23

mountain haha I think we can forgive you! Congrats on the cot, sounds like you're getting all sorted, exciting!

pretzelpieces · 16/08/2015 23:25

Also I know what you mean about feeling needier. I usually enjoy living alone but I'm finding it harder since being pregnant and sort of wishing DP lived here already instead of having to wait till October. He's away on job training at the moment too. Wah

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 16/08/2015 23:30

I've just got a really nice text from XH congratulating us and saying he is happy for us and that DD will be great big sister.

I assume he is drunk because a) it is late and b) he signed it with an x which he NEVER does

I will take it as a good sign though.

deeplybaffled · 16/08/2015 23:46

Still here too. Had my last nct class yesterday and that's made it all seem quite real. Think we were lucky in our group as there was no one there who I'd be dreading getting stuck in a lift with....although as i pointed out to dh, maybe that means that we are those people...
Saw m/w on Friday at 37 +1, and she seems to think that not much is happening, and has made another appt to see me at 39+1, which is encouraging for a September rather than August baby, although quite aware that baby won't give a damn and will come when it wants - just praying that it isn't on the bank holiday!
glad you are still with us, indigo - you keep reminding me about the epi no - have added to to do list for tomorrow!

SecondCupOfTea · 17/08/2015 00:25

Meh, nodded off on the sofa again. Now I'll go to bed and lie awake for hours Hmm

5hell I'll most certainly be thinking of you today, I really hope the scan goes well Flowers

LaLaLaaaa · 17/08/2015 00:43

Hello!

gaggiagirl · 17/08/2015 06:46

Hello all! la feeding time?
mountain I'm following in your footsteps! I've got the nursery painted and the blinds and mattress ordered.
Received heaps of baby clothes and a sling from sister. I feel like I'm mildly prepared.

honeysucklejasmine · 17/08/2015 07:01

We are having a cot from the in laws. It's an old one but perfectly functional. I shall prob paint it up once I have it. Need to measure the base so I can get a mattress. It has a spring and metal bass. I will make a protector to stop fingers getting trapped in base, but not sure what type of mattress to go for. Is there a recommended type?
