Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 37th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 36th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 52nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

My MW is still telling people to count 10 kicks. I could be wrong about 26 - couldn't remember if 26 or 28Smile

gaggiagirl · 01/09/2015 10:11

carrot oof. Early morning child. No. Where do they get the energy from?
looking if in doubt, phone it in but I don't think the midwife will entertain you til 26-28 weeks.
purple One. Week!

purplewhale · 01/09/2015 11:33

Baby still breech and measuring 8lbs 9
Have to come in thurs for an overnight to get steroids for his lungs. Feeling a bit gutted. I know its important but I thought I had some rest til I come in Monday evening

MollyBloomYes · 01/09/2015 11:47

Purple that's rubbish and slightly perplexing? Seems like he's a good size so why the need for steroids? Or have I missed something?

Happy last day Ga! Well done your sister!

Looking no harm in calling maternity services just to see what they say? Might put your mind at rest for a bit?

Another tired one here, could tell DH was back at work today, tossing, turning, muttering all night long. I swear he's going to break the bed one day he is so violent in turning in his sleep. He's already ripped a duvet by yanking it around himself. And people wonder why co-sleeping isn't an option for us....! The poor baby would get flung out the bed!

5hell · 01/09/2015 12:04

morning (just) viroids!
honestly cant keep up with who's where in terms of weeks/months! Some of u seem so much further along than I think ...baby brain already?! Then again i actually cant believe it's September - i seem to have done almost NOTHING this year!

nfmv: none, thats no spotting/bleeding for 3 weeks now Grin
feeling slightly more optimistic this week, probably because boobs are sore, nausea is pretty bad and i'm majorly bloated today although that could just be the MASSIVE lunch i had yesterday
Now 10w 1d and really looking forward to seeing mw on thurs and presumably getting a scan date through soonish!!

CarrotPuff · 01/09/2015 12:52

I've no idea Ga but I blame DP for his dodgy non sleeping genes! I really hope this one will take after his mum and will love his sleep!

Purple why do you need to stay overnight? Do they have to monitor after steroids?

5hell I'm very happy about no nfyv. Yay for MW appt!

NFMV: I think I've got beginnings of thrush. Ugh.

jellypi3 · 01/09/2015 12:55

5hell good news on the bleeding :) not long till your scan!

purplewhale · 01/09/2015 13:26

Apparently the steroids can upset my blood sugars so they need to keep an eye on me.
I'm feeling a bit gutted. I just want my baby now. I know I just have to think of the bigger picture. I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself

Hurray for no bleeding 5hell

Bleurgh to thrush Carrot, and lack of sleep Molly

jellypi3 · 01/09/2015 13:51

are they pushing back your CS day then purple?

Jcandy · 01/09/2015 13:51

Just got back from my 25 week appointment. My midwife said that movements are only really regular from 28 weeks though she was also talking about counting 10 movements between 8am and 6pm so who knows.

She says my blood count is borderline low so is going to start me on iron tablets. She also thinks I should go on a low dose of antidepressants and take more time off work, but then I did burst out crying shortly after arriving. I'm really tired again today

fruitlovingmonkey · 01/09/2015 14:00

Hello viroids, can I sneak in and sit in the corner?
Got my bfp about 10 days ago. I'm a bit nervous because my last pg ended in mmc at 12 weeks, following a healthy scan at 10. I just booked my first doctors appointment, so that'll be my first milestone to work towards.
Flowers for viroids having a hard time in later pg but bloody well done for getting there, it seems so far away right now!

jellypi3 · 01/09/2015 14:06

welcome aboard fruit :) sorry to hear about your MMC.

pretzelpieces · 01/09/2015 14:48

Welcome fruit, sorry to hear about your mmc.

Purple not long to wait now!

I'm exhausted. Cancelled a doctor's appointment for today cause I had been feeling better. Was going to get tested for anaemia. Now slept for ages and still tired, have gone back to bed. Probably shouldn't have cancelled. Seeing MW again in two weeks anyway but that feels like a long way off.

purplewhale · 01/09/2015 15:17

Welcome Fruit, Gx for you. There are quite a few of us on here who've had MC too

CS is still next Tues, they are doing the steroids in advance for some reason, no idea what!

5hell · 01/09/2015 16:18

how nice of them to explain everything to you so fully purple! Hmm

hey fruit so glad to see you here - i'm a puddle of angst some days thanks to mc last time, so you're not alone

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/09/2015 16:37

Hi fruit

Viroids I just realised I'm 12 weeks today yahoo!

jellypi3 · 01/09/2015 17:08

woo thursday celebration times! are you going public?

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/09/2015 17:13

Already sort of public jelly with closest friends and family, but I'm gonna do the scan-pic-on-Facebook thing next week to avoid confusion with all the millions of people I know from baby groups and running etc etc

I just bid on a pushchair on eBay. Oops.

honeysucklejasmine · 01/09/2015 17:16

Welcome fruit! Keep calm, keep busy!

Thursday congratulations!

NFMB (belly) I am full, so look about 20 weeks. Ick.

Thursday congratulations!
fruit welcome!
honey food envy!

I'm officially finished work viroids! I got a lovely gift basket of nappies, wipes, lotions, socks, bibs and whatnot.
Now can someone...anyone....tell me why I received SIX giant tubs of Vaseline in my baby hamper, is this a baby thing?

ChatEnOeuf · 01/09/2015 17:24

Purple, the steroids are given to all elective sections pre 39 weeks, and all diabetics. There's a higher rate of surfactant deficiency and that results in NICU admissions - steroids promote surfactant production and so reduce this. Sorry they didn't explain that, but it is normal. Two doses, usually about 12 hours apart, they sting a bit (same as the heparin) and send your sugars up so you need monitoring closely.

honeysucklejasmine · 01/09/2015 17:29

Ga it's for sex afterwards. Lube up past the sore bits. Wink

Honestly not sure... Can you use it as a barrier cream? Also, did you go to same restaurant on Sunday?

Hee hee loving the news from your belly Honey Grin

Welcome fruit!

Thursday have some Cake for 12 week milestone!

Purple I am very excited by your count down!

Flowers for you JC, look after yourself.

Pretzel I was convinced that I must be anaemic for quite a while as I was SO TIRED. It turns out my iron levels were good and it was just horrendous pregnancy fatigue. It is probably worth you getting checked anyway but it may just be horrid tiredness, mine has got better.

Survived the first day back including being called tubby, fatso and having several unsolicited bump rubs! Ha ha nice to see my lovely colleagues though. Even nicer to get home and take off my bra. Best feeling ever. May have swung it around my head once or twice in celebration Must now finish data analysis before falling asleep!!!!

jellypi3 · 01/09/2015 17:53

ga no idea how random. Is vaseline a baby thing? I have so much to learn.

In other news I started my list of baby essentials to buy today. I reckon excluding the pram and car seat (which I'm hopefully getting for free) my essentials will cost around 800 quid. That doesn't include nursery furniture.

honey ill do a bumpie pic when I get home, my bump has literally exploded these past few days.

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/09/2015 17:56

I'm pretty certain Vaseline is thought to be a baby thing, but I've never used it for DS.
I use it in my feet elbows and knees when I get out of the shower, and it helps to prevent chafing when running.
