Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 37th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 36th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 52nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

That'd be ace mountain - if I get a ballot place I'll have to defer. I think the race is within 4 weeks of my EDD, and I'm not quite that crazy! Enjoy ikea - I recommend the bibs Smile

Happy days Mountain!

I considered entering a mountain marathon in July next year but then realised that might be a tiny bit ambitious! Will have to wait until 2017 but that seems ages away.

DH gets mega points this morning; not only did he go to the shop to get me shreddies for breakfast, he got frosted shreddies! Mmmm sugar for breakfast. I've had 2 bowls back on the museli and berries when we go back to work next week. Probably.

TriJo · 28/08/2015 11:01

I entered the ballot too, with 5 rejections already Murphy's law says it's bound to happen this year. I'd just defer until 2017 though, that would be 13 months after baby so plenty of time to train.

Ok all my Epi-No undergrad friends, here's some advice from a fellow user as I want you ALL to have intact perineums!! Birth story after!

So mountain, deeply and I think JC have them? deeply 8.5 is well on from what I last read where you were, well done girl!! mountain 6.5cm was my starting stretch, I found it quite easy to get up to 8cm and then slower progress 8-10cm, you've made a great start! Here's some musings on the use of it..

  • You've got to be committed! Do it daily. Even if you cba with the pelvic floor exercises, just do the stretching, don't let the thought of not being bothered to do the whole thing prevent you from stretching your vag. It's more important to stretch than work pelvic floor in late pregnancy as far as I found it. Plenty time for pelvic floors after. deeply there is no evidence to show it has any effect on bringing you on early, the balloon is nowhere near your cervix, GET GOING WOMAN!! Tbh, I started at 35 weeks, so I had six weeks of practicing. You aren't meant to start till 37 but that's only because you aren't considered full term till then, there are no risks involved with starting earlier from what I've read. If you are starting later, do it twice a day. Honest to god, it's worth it - for two ten minute sessions out of each day. Prioritise it, make it really matter! sorry if I sound like your mothers
  • keep a track of your progress. I had a post it note in the bag with mine and would write down my best measurement for the day. It helps keep you motivated.
  • I improvised a little. I would pump it up to say 8cm, and as I was waiting for the ten mins to go by, I would see the pressure gauge needle fall as my muscles yielded, so I would add a little air to maintain that stretch feeling. This would happen multiple times over 10 mins so don't be afraid to add more air. I know you're not meant to be watching the needle for the stretching but it does let you know that your muscles are relaxing.
  • I also sometimes crowned out the ballon multiple times at the end of the session. If I had the feeling I could have stretched more I would reinsert and go for an extra bit. Like if I measured and it was 8.75cm and had felt quite easy, I would be like "COME ON NOW LASS, hit the 9!!" And go again. Note, I wasn't hurting myself, just pushing it to the edge of comfort.
  • use lube! I started off not, because I've never needed lube for shagging, but I had some preseed left from JSing that I bought to nurture the sperm, so I used it - MASSIVE DIFFERENCE! Far less burny on coming out.
  • aim for 10 and work towards it daily, I know I said this before but the confidence I had going into labour that I could push a 10cm object out my vag was AMAZING and worth every penny. Because I'd started in good time and not rushed it, I was able to practise at 10cm for at least a week before delivery and get really comfy at it.
  • you can do it ladies, make the most of your investment and it will pay you back however your delivery turns out, having a more stretchy vag can't be a bad thing whatever happens, it's going to be stretched with a vaginal birth anyway, no avoiding it, so do it in increments!!!

love the disclaimer indi! Grin

oneyorkshirepud · 28/08/2015 11:41

Ha ha ha Indigo, I love that whole post. I am planning on turning my spare room into a hippy drippy labour preparation suite (once I kick Eris out into the kitchen). I think I might print off your post above for inspiration!

jellypi3 · 28/08/2015 11:59

love it ind, i'm deffo going to invest in one of those beauties I think! i struggle with DP's clearly massive actually average sized manhood at times, so i need all the help i can get

oneyorkshirepud · 28/08/2015 12:57

What do we think of this ladies? I've been offered one plus mattress (although will buy a new one) plus sheets for £80. We have been looking at chicco next to me cribs etc but they are v expensive.

Any thoughts?

JohnLewisCribThing

Reviews are generally good apart from the wheels falling off but we will only be using it in our room next to the bed.

5hell · 28/08/2015 13:29

pud i might seem ungrateful, but considering it's now only £112 from JL, £80 for second hand plus a few sheets doesn't seem that great (although i've no idea how much sheets are tbh)

oneyorkshirepud · 28/08/2015 13:34

That did cross my mind 5hell, but I also like recycling.... will see what DH thinks too.

oneyorkshirepud · 28/08/2015 14:27

P.s. not soooooo bothered about cost, (it's cheaper therefore I'm happy) more the actual cot itself. Looks alright to me...?

batfish · 28/08/2015 14:32

I'm ordering my epi-no today! My friend is bringing it back from the UK for me praying customs don't think it is some kind of sex toy so I should have it before 37 weeks, I just hope I have the staying power to practice every day! Although they love c sections here (approx 65% of birthsome end up as c section apparently) so I'm hoping that doesn't happen so I get to test my new found skills! Also haven't done any pelvic floors whatsoever so hoping it will help with that at least.

ThursdayLastWeek · 28/08/2015 15:29

Apparently the MW my MW took over from has been sending the bloods off with all the wrong forms! So my (new to the area) MW had been getting only half the results from each sample back, until she figured out the problem!

So THATS why I had to go in to get more done -no collapsing veins this time no siree.

Cor I don't half feel faded and sad today though.

jellypi3 · 28/08/2015 16:18

Had my private scan today :) say hello to baby jelly who is...

Lovely scan jelly. I take it there were no probs?

Indigoblue2 · 28/08/2015 17:05

Yay jelly!! Welcome to team girl!!

gaggiagirl · 28/08/2015 17:22

October bus has produced 2 babies already! Eek!.
Hello. I'm at work. I have smegged.

jellypi3 · 28/08/2015 17:28

Nope no problems baby was kicking around like mad and she said my placenta wasn't low and was at the back which is good. I had a little cry when she said you are expecting a little princess.

2 babies ga blimey! How long till your mat leave

Indigoblue2 · 28/08/2015 17:41

Birth story on FB grads page!

batfish · 28/08/2015 17:43

Aww yay jelly that's so awesome, a little girl!

ga who has had babies on the October bus?! Shit I'd better pack my bag and buy a new car.

oneyorkshirepud · 28/08/2015 17:46

God Ga that is scary, I am not planning on being ready 2 months in advance!!

jellypi3 · 28/08/2015 17:49

My ante natal classes don't start till 2 months before lol

batfish · 28/08/2015 20:01

Don't worry jelly same here - 2nd class was today at almost 35 weeks and last class will be at almost 37 weeks. Really hoping nothing happens early as I'm totally clueless and need these classes!

MollyBloomYes · 28/08/2015 21:40

God I'd love an epi no but would be livid if I'd spent all that money and ended up with a c section!

Lovely news jelly, girls are on the increase!

Going to see our friends' five week old tomorrow. I am SO excited! Also intrigued to see what reaction ds has to me cuddling a newborn. Probably he'll below busy chasing the dog and giggling like a maniac.

Was it carrot having job woes? That's so stressful gx you find something soon, not what you need right now
