Bloody hell, what a spectacular start the new years! I'm impressed your DS slept through all that drama. Congratulations again!!

Fugg I hope this birth is a much more positive experience for you. If its any help, just knowing what you're in for really does make a difference. Despite all the difficulties in my labour I found it just as positive as my simple and easy labour with my DD. In fact in a way I've found it easier to come terms with than last time. So if you have a third child I'm sure you'll feel confident to labour at home.

I wonder how Hope is doing. Fingers crossed she's holding a tiny baby.

buntingbingo · 01/01/2016 11:20

I'm having some very strong but far apart contractions. So hope this is it! I'm bouncing on the ball. Any tips to keep it going?

Tangoandcreditcards · 01/01/2016 13:42

Oooh. Good luck bunting - ball bouncing certainly brought my contractions closer together, keep bouncing!

CuppaSarah · 01/01/2016 14:14

Oooh bunting how exciting! I found squatting on my knees leaning across something, like to get edge of the bed or sofa really ramped my contractions up!

I hope you get your baby super soon bunting.

buntingbingo · 01/01/2016 15:57

Thanks! They are about every 20 mins now. Really painful. Eek.

Fugghetaboutit · 01/01/2016 16:13

Ooh another baby is coming! Keep bouncing bunting! If you can send someone out for clary sage oil that helps contractions carry on or get started.

Thanks cuppa are you home now?

Nothing to report here really, went to the park with ds as I want to stay active but pubic bone killing me now :(

Hope everyone had a nice NY, I was in bed by 10pm Grin me and ds watched the fireworks on iplayer this morning though as we took Christmas decs and tree down

horseylady · 01/01/2016 16:41

Congrats on the babies!!! Are there many left to give birth?

CuppaSarah · 01/01/2016 17:57

Good luck bunting! Do excited for you!!

Fugg I've been home a few days, it is bliss!! We spent new years watching team America, going to bed and hearing fireworks whilst falling asleep. Your new years sounds lovely. Hopefully you'll be labouring asap.

Fugghetaboutit · 01/01/2016 19:00

Sounds lovely Smile getting loads of BH but I do most evenings, they're so intense!

buntingbingo · 01/01/2016 22:35

Well she arrived! It's all moved fast in the end. She's tiny 5.14 and was a shock footling breech. Which no one was expecting. But she's gorgeous and perfect. And I'm super glad it's all done with!

buntingbingo · 01/01/2016 22:37

Oh and the clary sage defo helped

Tangoandcreditcards · 02/01/2016 01:08

Oh wow. Congratulations bunting!!

New Year, new baby. Enjoy!

Fugghetaboutit · 02/01/2016 05:58

Congratulations!! And wow at a foot breech! Just shows it's still possible to labour normally With that position. Glad the clary sage helped!

I really hope I have a quicker labour like all of you did!

buntingbingo · 02/01/2016 08:17

Thanks all. Fugg, keep moving, that's my top tip. I didn't sit still. I found some crazy micky flannigan Cockney style walk that helped the pain and I recon that got it all moving. Smile

CuppaSarah · 02/01/2016 08:23

Congratulations bunting! And wow at footling breech! Glad it moved quickly for you too. What a tiny little girl too. So thrilled for you!

Fugghetaboutit · 02/01/2016 08:40

was she head down at your last midwife appt? Do you think she turned last minute?

Went on a long park walk yesterday and always on the go with ds. Bump was very sore last night and pelvis too. Looking forward to not being constantly uncomfortable!

Did any of you tear with your first birth? what about second?

CuppaSarah · 02/01/2016 09:05

I'm really hoping labour gets started for you soon fugg, late pregnancy is so bloody difficult.

I had an episiotomy and tore last time and only an episiotomy this time. I can't even compare the recovery, I was in agony last time worse than labour. This time they have been absolutely fine. It was a big cut too for the forceps. No idea why it's so much better though. It's healing really nicely, tmi but they did a lovely job with my foof, its a proper designer vagina now.

Tangoandcreditcards · 02/01/2016 11:03

Hang in there fugg - I feel for you. Those last few days are nigh on unbearable. Sending speedy vibes.

No stitches for me this time. One last time (that was debatable). Seem to be healing ok. Strongly recommend refrigerating some wipes for that first poo! (sorry - I post about my bum FAR too much).

My MW kept thinking this guy was breech until it was proved otherwise on the scan. I suppose it's harder to tell than we think (I never could!).

Tangoandcreditcards · 02/01/2016 11:14

PS MIL leaves today. After 10 days. She's been an amazing help keeping DS "at bay" but BOY am I going to be relieved to have my own space back.*

*realise I am ungrateful cow, am lucky to have the help, just hormones and it's a LONG time to have someone to stay!

Gillster · 02/01/2016 11:49

So is it just Fugg and I that are left to have babies then?

I had another sweep last Tues but they couldn't get right through to the membranes so just felt like a really good rummage. I have another sweep booked in for Monday and we are booked in for an induction on Tuesday. Would like to get things going by then but not holding out too much hope. Trying to stay active but get tired really quickly. I'm getting some BH from time to time but nothing too strong.

I stuck an "eviction notice" on my bump last night (due date yesterday) but so far the baby hasn't taken any notice!

Massive congratulations on those who have given birth in the last week. Hope all is going well with your little ones and their siblings where applicable. X

Just us two OP!

Glad to hear it's better this time for both of you cuppa and tango. I had a big tear last time but wasn't sewn up that great to be honest so hoping if I do tear it'll be in same place so they can do it better!

I'm at soft play today at 40 weeks preg am I mad?!

roseformyrose · 02/01/2016 20:40

Congratulations on your babies everyone! I'm still hanging in there too, was due yesterday but absolutely no sign of anything happening here. Got a sweep booked for Friday and then we'll discuss induction if still nothing happening. I worked right up till Christmas so really enjoying the time off tbh.

HopeItComesLate · 02/01/2016 23:42

Congratulations on the babies everyone and for those that aren't on Facebook my little boy arrived nye weighing 6lbs6 hopefully will get out of hospital Monday.

Sending labour vibes to those of you left and I hope it's fast and uncomplicated.

Need some sleep now take care everyone.

Also are we doing a postnatal club? X

buntingbingo · 03/01/2016 16:44

Congratulations too all the babies. And how's it going with the ones still tucked up inside? I'm feeling pretty blissful with my tiny one.

Can't remember If I answered or not but yes, no one noticed she was breech. When they checked me Internally at the hospital the midwife said she could feel her hand. Shock but turns out it was a foot.
It's lucky she was small as her head followed body in the next push.
She has to have a hip scan at 6 weeks but other than that she's fine.
They said they would have done an emergency section if they had realised. So happy I avoided that!

Fugghetaboutit · 03/01/2016 17:42

That's amazing no one noticed! I've been felt up so much, they tell me where the back and bum is and legs. It's awesome how they can tell, plus at my growth scans they scan her head and it's right down low.

Due date today, been getting lots of messages asking if anythings happening Smile
