Aw bless you sherbert - I hope you make it home for good soon. Looks like you made it cuppa - enjoy your belated Christmas.

Keep having the odd 2-3 contractions 10 mins apart but then they vanish. The teasing is driving me insane.
Also want this baby out so I can bid farewell to my MIL. I really appreciate having her here to help with DS but I'm sharing my body and now my house for a week and I'm getting a little antsy!

I'm not even due until Weds but the daily texts have started. (DS was early). Still on target for HB and not due to see MW until the 8th so we shall see!

Those of you hoping for NYE babies have more patience than me! I don't fancy 2 more days in limbo however likely it is!

Rest easy all.

HopeItComesLate · 28/12/2015 21:41

I have had enough I want this baby and I want it now!!! Nothing has happened all day I've been walking cleaning tried everything but sex and that's a bit out the window because I threw a massive tantrum about chopping boards or something I don't really remember. I'm sick of the texts and Facebook messages and everytime I ring someone I here the disappointment in there voices. Definitely having a sweep tomorrow I'm ready and I am very sorry for this rant as I know you all feel the same. I wanted the baby to be late but now I'm terrified I'll have to be induced.
Hope the rest of you have it together more than me never thought I would be this impatient.
Hope you get out of hospital soon cuppa and sherbet
Sounds like we are in the same boat tango hope somethings happens soon for you. Never thought I would wish for something as painful as contractions 😖 X

Fugghetaboutit · 29/12/2015 14:46

You need to change your name Hope Grin

Saw midwife today, she was very scatty and odd - hope she's not there on delivery day! Bump still small but as I've had growth scan and all was fine, I'm not worried.

Next app will be 41 weeks where they offer a sweep but who knows, baby might be here by then!

Hope everyone's doing well!

Tangoandcreditcards · 29/12/2015 17:38

Haha. hopeitcomesnow ?

HopeItComesLate · 29/12/2015 19:18

Sorry for big outburst guys feeling loads better today had a sweep ate loads of pineapple went for a long walk and ordered a curry. I am 4 days overdue now though I wanted a New Years baby but it seems I ran out of patience.
Feel like somethings actually happening again now though so as long as things don't stop completely again I shouldn't be such a horrid scary pregnant mess lol. Midwife has booked me in to be induced on Wednesday morning so will probably get worse again as that gets closer.
What size are they guessing the babies weight at fugg?

Fugghetaboutit · 29/12/2015 19:45

At last growth scan she was 6lb 11 at 37 weeks so probably be 7lb something like ds was.

It's funny, I was talking to a friend who said I bet you can't wait for baby to be here but actually I can.
I'm quite anxious about the change for ds and feel guilty already. We have such a close bond and good routine, I'm upset it'll be messed up for him.
I'm also treasuring these last days of it being just me and ds. Sounds silly but feel quite emotional about it today, likes it dawning on me it'll never be the same. I'm not good with change Smile

buntingbingo · 29/12/2015 21:02

It's never the same fugg and at first you may wonder what the hell you have done.. but I'm 4 and a half years down that road and I can't imagine life without the two if them.

Now with the 3rd due I'm having the exact same feelings but with the benefit if having been through it before and knowing that soon dc3 will be one of the gang too.

So try not to worry too much. X

Fugghetaboutit · 30/12/2015 14:07

Thank you bunting X

Tangoandcreditcards · 30/12/2015 19:35

So been getting contractions all afternoon.

They're now 6-7 mins apart and 30 secs long and have been for a couple of hours. Not really that painful though. So not really sure if this is it. Totally different to first labour (if it is labour). Have given the MW on-call the heads up but probably wouldn't have bothered yet if I was planning on hospital.

DS is safely tucked up in bed. Crossing fingers this isn't a false alarm!

Fugghetaboutit · 30/12/2015 19:58

Exciting Tango Xmas Grin NY baby for you maybe

CuppaSarah · 30/12/2015 20:42

Lost track of everything here, but contractions!!! You are so on track for a new years eve baby.

Also can I just confirm newborn and a toddler is a million times better than pregnant with a toddler.

Fugghetaboutit · 30/12/2015 20:44

Glad to hear that Cuppa

Getting very uncomfortable sitting on the floor doing puzzles etc now!

HopeItComesLate · 30/12/2015 20:46

Yay tango. Early labour here too 5 mins apart 1.5 mins each time for the past hour or so been at it since about 3am this morning so good luck tango. And hope the rest of you are holding out ok x

CuppaSarah · 30/12/2015 21:34

Oh my goodness I knew it wouldn't be long for you Hope. Two new years eve babies potentially? Maybe even a little bit sooner. You'll both be smelling little newborn heads before you know it Grin

Tangoandcreditcards · 30/12/2015 22:24

Go hope - sounds like it won't be long now.

Gone a bit quiet here now, still contracting but not so regular I think (got bored of timing). Going to try and get some sleep.

Looking forward to the change cuppa - toddler+pregnancy+Christmas has been exhausting!

Tangoandcreditcards · 30/12/2015 22:26

PS sorry - but better than being in hospital cuppa - obvs. Glad you're settling in now. Smile

Tangoandcreditcards · 31/12/2015 07:11

So finally decided contractions were painful enough to call the midwife at 3.30am.

Little boy arrived SECONDS after the MW at 4.30.

MWs have left, clean up all done. And he's napping in my arms.

DS slept through it all. (And I was HOLLLERIN' there).

Hope to hear of progress elsewhere, be it babies or puzzles.

X

CuppaSarah · 31/12/2015 08:52

Tango huge congratulations!!! I bet your son will be thrilled when be gets up.

And what a good little boy waiting for the midwife before arriving! New years eve baby!! He is going to have the best ever birthday parties when he reaches 18.

buntingbingo · 31/12/2015 10:09

Congratulations!! Nye is an excellent birthday!

Fugghetaboutit · 31/12/2015 11:22

Ah congratulations!! Sounds exciting! I would love a home birth, were you on your bed or in bath?

Sounds awesome X

Tangoandcreditcards · 31/12/2015 14:30

Ah cuppa DS1 showed a cursory interest but DS2 has already paled into insignificance next to unlimited "Finding Nemo".

fugg It was a wee bit (probably unnecessarily) dramatic, as he popped out in 2 pushes on the bed ("like a calf" according to DP Hmm), with the midwife mid-coat-removal and DP on the phone to the ambulance! I barely got my knickers off in time, it escalated REALLY quickly. Really messy too. Of course we'd just put clean linen on! Vastly preferable to a mad dash in the car though which I think might have ended up a local news story! "NYE baby born on roundabout" or something. Definitely can't complain, if I could bestow my magical powers of speedy delivery on all of you, I so would.

Thanks bunting - it's a good day for parties for sure. If he takes after his mother he won't be waiting until 18 cuppa Wink

Fugghetaboutit · 31/12/2015 16:00

My god! It was quick! What was your first labour like?

Fugghetaboutit · 31/12/2015 16:00

Grin @ 'like a calf' 😄 did you know it was another boy?

Tangoandcreditcards · 31/12/2015 17:17

I didn't know it was a boy. Was so sure he was a girl too! So a nice surprise!

First labour was quicker overall (no build-up) but not quite as quick at the business end! My main reason for HB, and v blessed it all worked out for us.

Fugghetaboutit · 31/12/2015 19:29

Congrats again! So nice.

I would've loved a HB but my first birth was quite traumatic and v long so I guess I'll stick to hospital. Maybe if I have another Smile
