Congratulations Cuppa!!! Xmas Smile glad you're doing well. Epidural is fab isn't it. I'll def get one if I experience the same pain as before.

Merry Christmas everyone! We've had an amazing day and just chilling out now Xmas Smile

Fugghetaboutit · 25/12/2015 16:04

Did you know the sex Cuppa?

CuppaSarah · 25/12/2015 19:50

Ooooo so many babies officially have permission to arrive no Christmas is over! Come on guys let's see those cuties. Hope you all had lovely days. It seems I really was quite unwell, but happened so fast I didn't know. I won't be home tomorrow but maybe the next day. It's really helping get feeding established though.

My amazing dad brought dds Christmas gifts to the hospital then left her for the day and came back later with a full Christmas dinner including gravy in a thermos, we had Processco and crackers too. Dh is being all secretive about little boy till his parents arrive tomorrow but I NEED to show him off.

Absolutely gorgeous! Congrats again, your dad sounds amazing! Mine would do similar, he brought over a delicious brunch today with my stepmum and they made it so special. Xmas Smile

buntingbingo · 25/12/2015 21:15

Oh look at him!! He's beautiful!

HopeItComesLate · 25/12/2015 21:17

Congratulations cuppa he is lovely. Cramping has stopped here. So did we not get one Christmas baby between us? How you feeling cuppa? X

Tangoandcreditcards · 25/12/2015 21:52

Gorgeous cuppa ! Hope you recover quickly and get home soon. Glad you managed to have a bit of Christmas despite being confined to hospital.

No baby here! No heartburn either, so that's something!

CuppaSarah · 26/12/2015 00:05

Thank you everyone! He is just so cute. He sounds like a hedgehog. I feel alright, I look awful though. He stole all the cuteness I reckon.

Apparently I got really angry and told the midwife it was ridiculous in this day and age we still needed to do labour and it should have been outsourced to China by now. Blush

Heartburn disappearing can only mean one thing Tango...the lightening!!

Come on naughty stop start babies, I am so stupidly excited to hear about them all! Hopefully we'll get a new years Eve baby.

Tangoandcreditcards · 26/12/2015 09:20

I think labour is a bit like Vegas, cuppa - what goes on tour, stays on tour! I wouldn't want anything I said/shouted repeated back at me - I'm sure the MW has heard worse!

I do feel a bit more energetic, so maybe... I keep getting the odd pair of contractions - a little one that makes me wonder if I had one, then a big one and I think "oh I'll time until the next one" and then... And then.... Nothing.

BIL installed until tomorrow morning, so want to hold off now. Might go to the cinema to see Star Wars today, the last time I went to the movies was 24 hrs before DS was born!

Hope everyone had a lovely festive sleep. I dreamed of the zombie apocalypse...

horseylady · 27/12/2015 10:25

Baby arrived Xmas eve by ELCS all good, calm slightly surreal. But much better than previous labour. Got home this morning

HopeItComesLate · 27/12/2015 10:28

How's everyone doing? Hope all those with babies are enjoying all the cuddles.
How many of us left? 4?
I've caught a stinking cold after bragging about my amazing immune system Christmas Day 😕 Just hoping the baby wont be born and catch it too. Anyone know if baby will get immunity? X

HopeItComesLate · 27/12/2015 10:29

Congratulations horsey hope your not too sore xx

Fugghetaboutit · 27/12/2015 12:09

Congrats horsey that's two Christmas Eve babies!

I'm hoping for a New Years one so will jump on H at the strike of 12 on NYE Grin

Hope I think it will, but at least you won't get it once baby is here, unless you're really unlucky.

Tangoandcreditcards · 27/12/2015 12:58

Congrats horsey !

I'm still waiting. Not very patiently at all. Every 10 minutes feel like an age. I'm not even due until Weds, but was so sure this one would be early I'm going stir crazy.

On a hair-trigger emotionally as well.

Have tried a couple of long walks and ball-bouncing. Get the odd BH now and then, but nothing really encouraging.

Hope it's only a little cold hope - once you've got symptoms you aren't really infectious anyway, so hopefully you won't pass it on to baby. I feel for you, I had a stinker a couple of weeks ago..

Tangoandcreditcards · 27/12/2015 12:59

You're still a yellow bump aren't you hope ?

buntingbingo · 27/12/2015 13:51

I'm still waiting too. I'm hoping for a n.y.e baby

Fugghetaboutit · 27/12/2015 13:53

My bump keeps clicking, it's weird Confused

HopeItComesLate · 27/12/2015 20:02

Still don't know at ds's aunties house for Christmas tea all family present think I've had 2 maybe 3 contractions but not 100% sure very painful but about an hour apart. Do I have to sneak out or you think I can hold out a little longer so no one notices? X

CuppaSarah · 27/12/2015 22:04

Congratulations Horsey!!! Another cherr flr Christmas eve babies!

I'm still in bloody hospital, got told I was leaving in ten minutes this morning. Then told I wouldn't leave till tomorrow but maybe not till a week postpartum. Gutted, just need to get back to DD.

Fugg DD clicked inutereo even tk this day if she moves her shoulder a certain way it clicks. And everyone laughed at me!!!

Fingers crossed its the real deal Hope, how amazing of a story will that be?

Really got.my fingers crossed it's soon Tango, you're the last one on 'team home birth' so I'm really looking forward to hearing about it(not in a depressing woow is me way, but in a really positive way)

HopeItComesLate · 27/12/2015 22:16

False alarm I think. Braxton hicks where coming every 10 minutes by the time we got home then I went to the toilet and they stopped Blush so pleased I didn't tell everyone why we where leaving. Really tired and achey now had a cup of tea now I'm lying in bed.

Has anyone managed to get a home birth? What happened to glister? I'm sure she just disappeared.

How you feeling cuppa? Other than sick of hospital.

I would love a New Year's Eve baby but don't want to need to be induced and that will be getting a bit close.

Gillster · 27/12/2015 23:20

I'm still here ladies. Sorry for dropping off face of the earth. Congrats on the new babies ladies, they're beautiful.

Nothing here yet although am getting some Braxton Hicks from time to time so who knows. Baby is due Friday. Having a sweep on 29th.

Tangoandcreditcards · 28/12/2015 09:08

Hope you get home today cuppa - you poor thing.

hope - I hear you, I keep getting 2-3 contractions/BH getting stronger every 10 mins or so. And then they vanish. Hope you got some rest overnight. So different to DS where I had no warning at all - the teaser is worse!

I'm too impatient to want to wait until NYE. I'm not due until Weds but would take this baby any minute!

Not due to see MW until the 8th (41+3!) and still on track for home birth, but we'll see.

Hang in there Gilster - hope to hear some news from you soon.

HopeItComesLate · 28/12/2015 10:36

Had one more really strong one last night we got ready stop watch on I had a snack then nothing woke up at 2am completely gutted but that's the best night sleep I've had for ages another small one just now and lost a load of plug again so think I am in the early stages and it's just going to take a while might brave the January sales to get things moving haha.
Hope something happens soon tango I think once you've had a false alarm your suddenly ready and just want baby here.
Glad to hear your ok gillister thought I was going mad and just forgot you had your lo already.
Colds more manageable today but I think it's all the indorfines (sorry can't spell it) as I feel really excited like it's taking all my will power not to run waddle round waking people up saying I've lost some plug and had another contraction like some sort of weirdo.

Anyway hope you all have a nice day and I hope anyone that wants their babies now gets them soon. I'll keep you posted x

sherbertlemon17 · 28/12/2015 12:19

Ah no! I completely sympathise with you ladies who are in that annoying stop start early labour. As soon as you feel that first twinge, all patience goes out the window!

Cuppa- it's so frustrating waiting to be discharged. We had that for 3 days because the incompetent peadeatrician hanged their mind on if we needed the echo on LOs heart before being discharged or not. Along with losing her notes!

We're also back in hospital arm too. Waiting to hopefully be discharged again today. Admitted on Xmas day because baby has very sensitive skin and had developed a nasty infection under her armpit. Been on antibiotics via a drip ever since and been given some cream which seems to be doing the trick. She's fine within herself but it was so so sore. Poor buba Sad

Here's a pic though... Even though she's been a bit poorly, she is still super cute and squidgy!
