As long as feeling sorry for myself for no real reason is an early labour sign!! Shall I find you one of our moving boxes, we can cut a little flap on the front and you can properly hide out like a pregnant cat. If your mil is lovely I'm sure she won't mind you being pregnant grumpy. It's the law that we are unpredictable and unhappy right now.

DD is playing up too and I'm properly evil at the moment. She drew on the wall with her beloved red crayon/lipstick and I made her have a time out and put it in the bin Sad she loves that crayon! I also cried over imagining a giraffe in a policeman's hat. It was just too cute.

Fugghetaboutit · 23/12/2015 21:49

How is everyone? Xmas Smile

Tangoandcreditcards · 24/12/2015 02:02

Awake. Confused

Can't sleep. Baby busy and I'm twingey. Decided I had a contraction an hour ago, but nothing since so just BH. Everything magnified by tiredness and lateness. Went for a long walk today, not long enough, obviously.

fugg do you have to see MW at 40w for monitoring? I'm not seeing mine again until 41w - if it's only a couple of days is it worth taking the GP appt for convenience?

hope - it's Xmas eve! I hope you and DH are at home together v soon.

That's really weird cuppa - I asked DS if the "bibi" was a boy or a girl and he said "raffe" and handed me his giraffe... I really hope not. Imagine delivering those hooves.

CuppaSarah · 24/12/2015 02:46

Just been admitted to hospital with pre eclampsia. Had a nice old sweep and gonna be induced in the morning. Looks like Christmas is gonna be delayed.

CuppaSarah · 24/12/2015 02:47

Feeling okish had a headache that was beyond any pain I know. My blood pressure is down quite a bit but still high. Can't belive he's gonna be here soon.

sherbertlemon17 · 24/12/2015 03:31

Hi ladies, just thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is doing. I'm on the late shift with the LO and need something to help me keep my eyes open!

Cuppa- hope you are OK! You must be so sick of all this pre eclampsia lark now. I can't believe you little baby will be here soon though!

Tango, Fugg, Hope- sending you lots of labour inducing thoughts. This last little bit is soooo frustrating. Come on babies!

Fugghetaboutit · 24/12/2015 03:48

Hope you're back to sleep Tango. I'm up tossing and turning, baby has hiccups so woke me.
I got through to a midwife and she wants to see me on the 29th and then again in the NY when I'll be 40w just for normal checks. Baby is moving so much so I know fluid is fine now. Grin at 'raffe'

Cuppa so looks like a Christmas Eve/Day baby for you! Hope it goes smoothly for you and you're home with baby asap. X

sherbert keep new year baby thoughts for me! Hope yours is doing well.

Took Ds to the grotto new me, was great - train ride to Santa etc he loved it! I'm so glad I got to do his birthday and all this Christmas stuff with him this year as he really is into it now!

Tangoandcreditcards · 24/12/2015 07:50

Oh cuppa - poor you! Hope all goes ok this morning! I'll be thinking of you. You'll be holding your baby soon!

Aw, how's it going sherbert ? I'm quite jealous of you being kept awake by an external baby!

I got back to sleep in the end. Feel drained this morning though. DS seems to be having a lie-in though. Much appreciated!

That's so lovely fugg - I'm going to resolve to put aside my tired, achy grumpiness and enjoy today and tomorrow as much as poss!

Fugghetaboutit · 24/12/2015 08:20

I'm sending H and Ds out swimming/park for a couple of hours so I can rest and do some wrapping. I don't want to leave it all until tonight as I'm knackered by 8.30!
Hopefully you can fit a nap in at some point Tango yesterday I got a little one in the afternoon by taking ds to my bed and putting Toy a Story on Xmas Smile

Tangoandcreditcards · 24/12/2015 08:29

Ha! I hear you fugg - I've been saving up the dreaded Finding Nemo for an emergency - (he'd watch it non-stop every day if he could). Today might just be that day.

Fugghetaboutit · 24/12/2015 09:02

Ooh we haven't watched Nemo yet, will have to try that one :)

HopeItComesLate · 24/12/2015 10:46

Me and DS are safe and sound in our new home spent most yesterday in and out of Asda and all the main bits are in.

Cuppa so sorry to hear your back in hospital but at least your baby will be with you soon. A lovely Christmas bundle of joy. What's the sweep like? I've been warned that I will be offered one on Tuesday.

Lovely to hear from you sherbert how's life with baby treating you. Must admit although I want a new years baby Im a bit jealous since I'm lying next to an empty moses basket.

Still lying in bed I know this isn't a luxury I will have much longer but going to get some food now as I am starving!!!

Labour making vibes to you all and merry Christmas everyone if I don't message before. Keep us updated cuppa it seems that your next x

Tangoandcreditcards · 24/12/2015 18:56

Hope all ok cuppa.

Glad you're all installed hope !

Don't do it to yuureself fugg - I have grown to deeply resent that chirpy orange fish!

In other news, I have just been sick (first time this pregnancy) and have had 2 episodes of contractions/BH lasting about an hour (about lunchtime and now) but every 5 mins and getting stronger... Shall
I set the manger up and call the shepherds??!

Fugghetaboutit · 24/12/2015 19:36

Oooooh sounds like something starting! Keep me posted!

Cuppa hope you're ok X

HopeItComesLate · 25/12/2015 01:01

Good luck tango. Keep us updated. I've had this pain tonight that starts off like a period pain then shoots down into my vagina. Ive had it here and there but happened a few times tonight I've always described as twinges but getting worried it could turn in to labour due to bad tummy and lower back ache. Am I just being paranoid? What else could the pain be? Maybe quickening? X

CuppaSarah · 25/12/2015 01:09

Hi everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. At ten to four we had our beautiful little boy. It was a real whirlwind. Went to hospital in the night. Give medication to get blog pressure down. By 8am my waters were broken and by 10 the drip was started. Little boy wanted to come face first, which I and the midwives could tell very quickly was just not going to happen. So off to theatre for an epidural and forceps. Sounds scar

CuppaSarah · 25/12/2015 01:12

Scary written down. But genuinely it wasn't. I was allowed to labour on my knees and keep mobile. I felt super in control and epidurals and forceps aren't actually scary at all. They were really no big deal.

I'm on a whole manner of drips and drugs. Apparently I was ver unwell, but felt grea

buntingbingo · 25/12/2015 03:11

Oh wow congratulations cuppa. And we'll done for being so brave!!!

I'm really worried I'm set for a xmas day baby. Lying here having very mild contractions and sweating like a pig.

I don't want to miss xmas day, my dc will be so sad.

CuppaSarah · 25/12/2015 05:09

Ooooo are we going to get Christmas day baby??? The excitement. We're waiting for the first Christmas baby in the hospital but they're being stubborn. There's only us and this woman it's so quiet. Good.luck everyone I hope you have magical Christmases if you!aren't in labour

buntingbingo · 25/12/2015 07:06

I think I willed it to stop. Had a horrible night. So I got up to watch telly with a cup of tea and it's all stopped for now. Thank goodness. Just need to get through today!

How's your little one doing? How are you feeling?

Tangoandcreditcards · 25/12/2015 07:27

Oh yay! Congratulations Cuppa. Glad you're feeling ok - in spite of everything. Enjoy your Christmas with your little one.

All gone quiet here, hope everyone else's Christmases and/or labours go without a hitch.

Merry Xmas all.

CuppaSarah · 25/12/2015 07:36

Glad you managed to hold off. Will you be able to have a festive nap later? Things are going really well here. About to get my last blood test and catheter out. Feeling really good just tired. My lovely little boy is just perfect. Sleeps and eats well. He's a bit of a chunk at 8.3lbs too. Can't wait to get him home tonight and introduce my dd to him. Xmas Grin

buntingbingo · 25/12/2015 09:39

Awww even though I want to get christmas over with first I'm getting SO excited to meet baby. Glad your feeling well, 8.3 is a lovely size!

I'm not planning on leaving the sofa today after months of prep I'm handing it all.over to DH and he's in charge of festivities now.

HopeItComesLate · 25/12/2015 11:40

Congratulations cuppa hope you and baby get home soon.
How's things going bunting and tango?

Don't think I have much longer to wait here. Got back ache runny tummy period pain and baby is moving constantly.

On another note I cried for over an hour this morning because I wasn't excited enough about Christmas and I lost the dogs present 😕

Merry Christmas everyone hope everyone's doing well x

buntingbingo · 25/12/2015 13:33

I'm scared to move in case I start things off! I get mad braxton hicks when I stand up.
I'm sitting on the sofa and clenching. Grin
