The stress and uncertainty of it all must be really difficult. Especially with child care issues. Getting to 37 weeks and having had the steriod shots already, youd be in a good position to get induced I'm sure!

Hopefully Monday will be good news and she will be growing just fine.

I haven't had insomnia this pregnancy, I'm actually sleeping better than ever, I wake one in the night for a wee and when DD needs a cuddle, sometimes twice if I need gaviscon. Lack of sleep is the worst, hopefully you'll be able to sleep better soon.

I'm hoping your sharp pain has turned into labour tango!! Fingers crossed you're holding a lovely little baby Xmas Wink I certainly am not!!

Tangoandcreditcards · 11/12/2015 12:05

No such luck cuppa - nothing to report here.

My sleep is fine until about 3am. Then I'm often awake for the duration until DS gets up. Think I got more sleep last night, but EXTRA tired/confused today. Thinking its a sign is just wishful thinking, I fear.

sherbertlemon17 · 11/12/2015 12:21

Fugg hope you are doing OK. Best of luck for Monday. It's hard not too worry, but hopefully everything will be fine... Small baby's are a reason for early induction, so definitely worth asking!

Hope your lunch was worth it Tango! Did you go anywhere nice?

Jealous of the sleep Cuppa! I'm constantly tossing and turning between needing a wee and achey hips where the baby's head must be engaging. I'm thankful that I've slept well generally up until a couple of weeks ago though.

So, we had our final consultant appointment this morning. Baby isn't fully engaged yet, but everything else is fine; and because of the heart issue I've been booked in for induction next Friday! So whatever happens, baby will be here before Christmas Xmas Grin

roseformyrose · 11/12/2015 14:00

Hello all! I've been so busy the last few weeks I haven't been reading, but seems like lots of babies are making progress here. It's really exciting.

I'm 37 weeks today and at my last midwife appointment she said he was fully engaged. I'm not ready yet! Need to have another scan next week though to check for placenta accreta, so depending on the result I could be in for a c section.

Sending you all lots of labour-based luck!

Tangoandcreditcards · 11/12/2015 18:48

Thanks sherbs - it really wasn't, no, bog standard Xmas catering fare... Getting a takeout tonight to make up for it! Good news that you're all set for induction next week, don't let engagement fool you, DS was 1/5 engaged the day before he popped out, so you never know.

Hey there rose sounds like your bump is nearly there and good luck with the scan!

I have been feeling intermittently dreadful all day, weak, sick and woozy. I want to believe it's a sign labour is imminent, but more likely a sign that I've got 3 more weeks of feeling like this! I'm already soooo bored of waiting.

I'll leave you with a piece of wisdom from The Internet: "waiting for your baby to be born is like waiting at the airport to pick someone up only you don't know who they are or what flight they are on..."

CuppaSarah · 11/12/2015 19:06

Haha tango just today I was.moaning at dh that I feel like I'm sat in the departure lounge at the air port! Hopefully the feeling crap will be a sign and you'll give birth super soon.

Rose try not to worry. Although doesn't worry delay labour? So maybe worrying is a good idea. But fingers crossed for your scan, hoping its good news. Isn't placenta accreta what kim kardashian had? So you're in famous company, I'd say good company, but I'm not sure anyone actually likes her.

Eek induction date sherbert!! You'll have a tiny baby in time for Christmas I am so envious.

I'm still having mild cramps and tightenings, I have realised to my dismay they come and go with my bowels. Even farts are preceded by cramps now. Potentially 5 weeks of labour like toilet trips Xmas Angry

HopeItComesLate · 12/12/2015 17:26

Cuppa I'm afraid I've joined you on the uncomfortable toilet breaks I'm also feeling very heavy and uncomfortable down below can hardly walk hoping it's just from long car journey and nothing else does anyone know if any of this means anything? Dp left for sea today so hopefully not.
Good luck with your appointment fugg I hope everything goes they way you want and everythings all ok.
I'm sure all your babies will be making appearances soon. Hope no one's too uncomfortable.
Struggling to keep up on here at the moment so sorry if I've missed anything my brain is like mush passed couple of days x

sherbertlemon17 · 14/12/2015 09:31

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend! 40+2 today and still no baby. So many prelabour contractions and have had a show over the weekend. Gone from being super chilled, to being an impatient pregnancy monster! Haha! 😈

When have you got your scan this week rose? Fingers crossed for you.

Tango that is exactly how I feel! Are you feeling any better now?

Sending you positive thoughts today Fugg Flowers

CuppaSarah · 14/12/2015 09:41

Thinking of you today fugg! Hoping you get a positive result.

Hope I am sure the long car rides will have you feeling sore, its a hell of an undertaking when you're so pregnant. Definitely something to scare baby with when they're older.

My dad took DD on a Santa steam train ride yesterday and me and dh walked around for an hour while they went. I had some mega braxtons while we waited for them to get off, everyone gave me the 'please don't give birth here, I don't want to deliver a baby/see a strangers vagina today' look. It was very embarrassing. On the plus side, I think baby has engaged a little more, bumps a bit smaller and mybpelvis feels full, plus I am sporting an impressive waddle.

CuppaSarah · 14/12/2015 09:43

I forgot to say, sherbert you have my sympathy, overdue sounds not fun at all. But you're like a loaded water gun in a scorned childs hands right now. Anything could set you off. It's merely a short matter of time. Is your Google search history a load of miscellaneous symptoms followed by labour sign? Because even mine is getting that way and I'm not 38 weeks.

Fugghetaboutit · 14/12/2015 11:55

Thank you! Smile

All ok. Just waiting to see consultant but scan went really well. Fluid is now 12cm as baby has moved so they could measure 4 pockets this time rather than 2.
She's measuring 6lb 11 now so has put on a pound in 2 weeks which is perfect Xmas Smile

So hopefully consultant will be pleased and I can go an continue nesting and relax a bit now!

Tangoandcreditcards · 14/12/2015 11:59

Great stuff fugg - good luck with the consultant.

Tangoandcreditcards · 14/12/2015 12:12

Hang in there everyone else

I had a proper impatient tears grumpy meltdown on sat night. Poor DP didn't know how to deal with me! Still 16 days til I'm even due and I'm sooo impatient. Bit more comfy the last couple of days which CAN'T be a sign of progress. Am trying to convince myself that it's going to be a 2016 baby to make myself more patient but my heart is overruling my head and I want the baby out NOW.

My google search history is shameful cuppa along those lines. "Probability of baby being born 16 days early/at night... Etc etc".

Hope everyone else getting some sleep, at least.

HopeItComesLate · 14/12/2015 12:48

Glad your scan went well fugg. What's the plan now you still hoping to be induced?

Shouldn't be long now sherbert as you've had your show. I'm sure thats a sign things are pretty close.

The please don't give birth look is awful cuppa I went on my work do the other day and a random stranger decided to shout pregnant women coming through as I waddled to the loos. That was bad enough. But they say braxton hicks get more painful the closer you get to birth.

Hopefully the group will have a couple more babies this week. Sounds like some of you are getting really fed up.

Heavy bow legs still an issue I think the baby might have just moved more into place but will find out tomorrow at midwife appointment.

sherbertlemon17 · 14/12/2015 13:47

Great new Fugg! Smile

I hope so hope. I'm definitely having a few signs, but it's just so frustrating with all this stop start buissiness. At least we know buba should be here by Sunday night. FX!

Cuppa have you been reading my internet history again?? Xmas Wink

CuppaSarah · 14/12/2015 13:51

Yay fugg that's what we like to hear! So thrilled for you and hope the consultant bit goes just as well.

Oh Tango it really is crappy isn't it? Physically I'm not really struggling this time, but I can't help be impatient. When you're uncomfortable too it must be so crap, were you at all early with your DS? I really hope you wake up in full blown labour tomorrow.

Hope you're nice and engaged, but not too engaged hope. Let's hope that baby stays put till your dh is back and you're set up in the new place.

I think babh has engaged back to back, so will be going for a 'fun' back to back labour. I do like a challenge though and I was back to back so that's um....nice?

roseformyrose · 14/12/2015 15:13

Glad everyone's hanging in there! Sounds like it won't be long for you sherbert, wishing you loads of luck.

I'm so pleased this is my last week at work, I seem to be getting increasingly grumpy and irrational. Yesterday I managed to shut the car door on my own head and then started sobbing!

Fugghetaboutit · 14/12/2015 17:12

Doctor has said I can carry on as normal, no need for any more scans, just see my community mw at the gp as usual now. So thrilled not to have to go there anymore!

Hope everyone else is ok, we need some babies now! Everyone wants me to wait until January but I would rather she came sooner!

HopeItComesLate · 14/12/2015 17:23

How far gone are you rose? I think you may the last of us still working.

Do you have a date that you will be induced by sherbert? I don't remember.

Must say although I want to hold on for Dp to be home I can't wait to meet the baby if I could I'd be eating pineapple and spicy curry right now

Tangoandcreditcards · 14/12/2015 18:25

Well done on still working rose - I worked until 38 weeks last time but thought better of it this time.

Today I have managed to get "dressed" (shower+ clean pyjamas) and watch Elf with DS. Twice. Busy busy.

Sorry for the moan before. Trying to keep my impatience under wraps in real life so am inflicting it on you lot. DS was 3 days early cuppa so I think expecting more than 2 weeks is slightly over ambitious (and also I do KNOW that longer baking is better if you can, just seem much more physically incapacitated this time, but maybe that's just having a toddler so more bending down to do!).

No new signs of engagement here, but then DS wasn't engaged just before birth either.

That is FANTASTIC news fugg, must be a huge load off your mind, if not your body. Smile

Cross your legs hope !!

CuppaSarah · 14/12/2015 20:56

Fugg that is fantastic news! So pleased for you. Hopefully you can relax a little now.

Rose you are a true legend still working! You must be shattered though, ber you can't wait to get some rest in before baby arrives.

Hope there are some fantastic left over Christmas Turkey curry recipies and pineapple is lovely in curry...boxing day you can get to work evicting baby can't you?

Tango you moan away, its therapeutic plus if you say anything in real life people will be annoying. I had a pyjama day today too and it was bliss.

Made the mistake of telling my lovely dad about the contractions I was having the other day. I get a text at 8.30 every day checking I'm alright and every time I call him he sounds so excited and panicked. I think by the time I reach 39 weeks I won't find it so endearing, but for now it's really sweet.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 15/12/2015 10:38

Just catching up on this, it's been a bit of a rough time for me. Baby came on the 4th and was in special care until the 13th. I've been kept in too. We are finally going home today.

HopeItComesLate · 15/12/2015 14:17

Just had the most horrendous midwife appointment babies dropped bellow the 10th centile line on growth chart, nitrate showing up in urine, need bloods taken due to itchiness of arms and legs signalling possible OC, my blood pressures gone up hands and feet swollen and she just didn't seem to be interested in the appointment at been left feeling uninformed deflated and generally crap :-/

NoArmaniNoPunani · 15/12/2015 15:08

What is your blood pressure hope? That sounds like how my issues started

Fugghetaboutit · 15/12/2015 15:27

Armani - so glad you're finally getting home! Hope things improve steadily for you and baby Armani.

Hope - that's no good. You should feel taken care of with all that going on. Can you call head midwife and have a chat?
