That's brilliant news fugg!! So glad fluid levels are up, but not so glad about the flip flopping advice. You need to be feeling confident in their decisions and that can't help! But the 14th will be here so quickly and its good they'll take you in anytime you feel anxious.

You must be absolutely shattered today, 10-4 is a full work day! Are you going ahead with the birthday party or delaying it a bit still?

Fugghetaboutit · 05/12/2015 11:26

Yes it was like a working day and the hospital was boiling so I felt quite faint through most of it!

I am going to go ahead with the party as I've only invited 5/6 friends with kids and H will get the food and set up. I would feel awful to cancel, and as the baby is ok I feel confident to go ahead.
Hope you're doing well!

Tangoandcreditcards · 06/12/2015 08:47

Gosh fugg sounds like a hot stressful day. Good news that it's all a bit less urgent though and that your DS will get his party after all.

In a bum update, my bum seems better today - thank God - because I don't think DP could bear me crawling out of the loo in tears one more time. I know it's "only" piles but it's been a full week of excruciating pain. Sorry for TMI. Was honestly giving me the fear about labour if it didn't improve.

Though I suppose it won't matter if the baby is still breach at scan tomorrow. Trying not to think too much about it until I know for sure.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend, and thinking of you armani and mini-Armani. How long til your furniture arrives hope ?

CuppaSarah · 06/12/2015 09:19

So glad your son can have his party fugg! Last thing you want is guilt on top of all the stress you've had. Hopefully the last few weeks of pregnancy will be completely boring and uneventful.

Tango, feel free to unload about piles. They sound absolutely awful. I've only ever had a small one (when pregnant with DD, could piles be a sign of a girl Xmas Wink) and that little one was just terrible. Proper piles must be horrible horrible. Plus we're all so close to the end I'm pretty certain we're supposed to be uncomfortable and moaning a bit! Good luck tomorrow at the scan. Fingers crossed we both have head down babies.

Yesterday my dh and some close friends surprised me with a reflexology session and mini baby shower. It was absolutely lovely and so sweet. The reflexology got baby from back to back to ceph. He's gone back to back again but I was very impressed. It was like being a cloud. I think I fell asleep which worries me, I have the worst gas ever. I wake myself in the night as its so loud like thunder Xmas Blush what if I did some while zonked out during the session??? I think our upstairs neighbours must hear it too.

sherbertlemon17 · 06/12/2015 09:21

What a nightmare Fugg! At least you got your good news though. I bet your DS will be thrilled with his party too! Just make sure you let everyone else run around organising for you.

Tango that sounds truly awful. Glad it's all starting to feel a bit better now though... Keep us updated with how your scan goes.

sherbertlemon17 · 06/12/2015 09:26

Just saw your post Cuppa, the thought of your thunder farts made me laugh!

Wow, that's awesome. Reflexology is amazing though (I'm not normally in to that kind of thing). I had it before, and it really helped me. God knows how it works, but it does! They can even send you in to labour if they massage the right points on your ankles Confused

Tangoandcreditcards · 07/12/2015 16:03

That sounds like a lovely surprise cuppa (the baby shower, not the massive trumps! Haha).

I feel A MILLION times better today. Just not being in bum-pain makes life so much more bearable. I'm even finding heartburn easier to deal with

Also had presentation scan - and the kid has got itself head down! Bounced in my ball for ages last night, which obviously made all the difference. Hoorah. I'm back on for my home birth... Suppose I should get something ready!! Good luck with your scan tomorrow cuppa.

CuppaSarah · 07/12/2015 17:51

Yippee!!! We're halfway there with the breech babies! Hopefully we'll get a full set of head dowb babies tomorrow. To be honest the idea of a breech vaginal delivery sounds really novel to me so I'll be OK if he's still breech. Another big yay for feeling better, hopefully your bum will be have!

Sherbert it is amazing. Even my thunder farts have improved dramatically since then. How are you finding maternity leave? I hope you're resting up nicely.

Tangoandcreditcards · 08/12/2015 08:45

Oh gosh cuppa - I'm not sure I fancied a breach delivery at all. Was v glad to see the head down yesterday, mostly because breach would have meant "decisions" (ECV/ELCS/etc) and my brain stopped processing weeks ago! Good luck today.

CuppaSarah · 08/12/2015 10:53

Well baby is head down, though we didn't even end up with a scan. Consultant was confident. Plus it was rather overshadowed, my blood pressure has leapt up and my floaters, headaches, protien and swelling have all gotten worse. Going in on Thursday morning to the adu to be monitored and will be under consultant care from now on.

But on the positive I'll get a sweep at my 38 week appointment. The consultant said my blood pressure wasn't high enough to warrant admittance or early induction, but a close eye. Of course until they get my bloods back, this could change.

Cuppa tea and bed for me!!!

sherbertlemon17 · 08/12/2015 12:21

Tango Yay for a a head down baby, home birth and non stingy bum! Grin Really pleased that things are sorting themselves out for you.

Cuppa good news on the head down baby too, but please make sure you're taking it easy! At least they're keeping an eye on you, and you know that if anything were to happen they would be in the position to treat it.

Mat leave is treating me well thanks. Smile Struggled with boredom at first, but am trying to do something everyday to keep me entertained.

I had my 40 week midwife appointment today. Baby is now 4/5ths engaged! How is this happening?? Haha! Even had a false labour incident Sunday night and lots of Bracton Hicks. Place your bets that baby will be here by its due date Saturday...

Fugghetaboutit · 08/12/2015 15:02

Yay for head down babies!

Hope Armani is well

Tangoandcreditcards · 08/12/2015 16:04

Take it easy cuppa - rest up as much as possible. Fingers crossed bloods are fine. Sweep next week though? We're motoring now!

sherbert - all going in the right direction, eh? If you're still bored, you're more than welcome to borrow my DS for a few hours! Bets are on you won't be bored by the weekend though!

CuppaSarah · 08/12/2015 16:46

Sherbert i went into labour a couple days after being 4/5ths engaged. Getting any signs? I didn't have any either apart from the engaged head so....could be any day. I'd say enjoy the boredom and rest, but you're nearly 40 weeks pregnant so much easier said than done. Enjoy the lack of responsibility for the next few days.

I've got my fingers crossed I won't get the phone call from the adu tonight which will mean clear bloods. But with all the faffing about and how high my blood pressure was I'm not expecting a home birth anymore. Upgraded the emergency transfer bag to hospital birth bags. Feeling a bit low about it all, but at least the food in my hospital is really, really good. I am quite excited about getting to eat it again.

HopeItComesLate · 08/12/2015 20:47

Wow I seem to have missed Alot I've been reading every night but not had the energy to actually comment.

Moving is going well if not very slowly and back to Portsmouth for a week of rest on Thursday. Baby just needs to stay put till Christmas eve so that dh will definitely be present.

Wow sherbert can't believe your due date is so close time seems to be flying by can't wait to hear the good news any day now.

Happy to hear about all the head down babies. Is anyone still breach?

Thinking of you cuppa try rest up and we will all have our fingers crossed for your blood test results.

Oh musnt forget hope you and your little one are doing well if you're reading this Armani

NoArmaniNoPunani · 09/12/2015 04:28

How's everyone doing? I'm still in hospital while they try to stabilise my blood pressure. Baby is is SCBU but he's doing really well

Tangoandcreditcards · 09/12/2015 09:42

Oh armani sorry to hear it's taking a while, but hope you're being well looked after. (And hope the food is as good as it is at cuppa's hospital, I've never heard of such a thing, and I've spent plenty o time in hosp). Sending Flowers and speedy recovery.

Don't be disheartened cuppa - it's all one step closer to a snuggle with your new baby. Hang in there - Flowers for you too. No phone call? Hope you stay the right side of the line!

Have a restful week hope and sending staying-put vibes to your bump.

CuppaSarah · 09/12/2015 10:54

Sorry to hear your still stuck in hospital, I agree with tango hopefully your hospital has good food! If not I hope you have people bringing you some treats. Thrilled to hear baby is doing well. I bet he is just the snuggliest!

Tango no phone call so that's good news Smile hopefully Thursdays appointment will be absolutely boring and a bit of a time waster. My face is all swollen up today I look like I've swallowed a bee! Taking it easy today though, so will hopefully be less of a Winston Churchill impersonator by the afternoon. I'm feeling much more positive today though, I dreamt I was only 20 weeks pregnant and fell pregnant again last night. Waking up at 37 weeks with one baby makes me feel a hell of a lot more positive. Grin

Hope you are a brave woman doing this move! Make sure you're eating well.and resting lots. Hoping baby will stay put till your dp is home too!

sherbertlemon17 · 09/12/2015 14:01

Cuppa I was having proper contractions during the night the other night, but all fizzled out by morning. Now just that heavy, period type feeling on and off all day. I think I might have even been losing my mucus plug (ewww- what a gross name! ) over the last couple of days too Grin Come on baby!

Keeping my fingers crossed that you still haven't got that phone call and your next appointment is completely pointless and boring.

Glad your move is going well Hope

sherbertlemon17 · 09/12/2015 14:02

Sorry, sausage thumbs posted too soon!

Armani, hope they get that pesky blood pressure under control soon and your little Mr continues to do well.

CuppaSarah · 10/12/2015 11:06

Hopefully the false starts.will all be leading up to the main event really soon sherbert!

Monitoring was boring and uneventful. Bloods are good and.blood pressure is back down. Still got protien, floaters, headaches and swelling. But I am 37 weeks pregnant. Also I am contracting 2 in every 10 minutes. They don't hurt much and are pretty ignorable, so its just practise contractions. But still exciting stuff!

Fugghetaboutit · 10/12/2015 16:05

How is everyone?

Armani hope you get home soon

Cuppa how's the contractions?!

I had a midwife appt today and bump is still measuring 32 weeks :( they said the scan on Monday will be more accurate in how the baby is growing so it's all about Monday now.
I'm glad I have ds' party on Saturday to distract me with!

CuppaSarah · 10/12/2015 17:23

Sad fugg its so hard not to worry when you hear things like that. Fundal height is so subjective though. Hopefully baby was just tucked up inside you, but Monday will be here so soon and you'll know where you are.

Contractions are still coming, but still super mild and irratic. Spent the afternoon walking and on my ball to see if I could tempt them into working properly. At this point I think it's probably practise labour and will fizzle out after a bath and sleep. But hopefully it'll get me nice and soft for my sweep at 38 weeks!!

Tangoandcreditcards · 10/12/2015 21:42

Aw fugg hope the party is a good distraction. Try not to worry too much, they're obviously keeping a good eye on you.

Recklessly "popped" into London today for work Xmas lunch. 3 hr round trip and 2 hours at lunch. SHATTERED. Started getting some pelvic pains in way home (not contractions, baby engaging again maybe?). Just got into bed and got a v sharp pain indeed. I'll try and sleep it off!

Hope everyone ok.

Fugghetaboutit · 11/12/2015 08:17

Thanks guys. Tired of being worried about the baby now. The 'rents think I should push for an induction as going to and from all the appointments is stressful - I hardly have any childcare and usually end up there all day - which will happen on Monday for sure.

Kind of leaning to agreeing with them as I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow so if they induced me next week I would be nearly 38 weeks. Plus if baby isn't growing well better she comes out.

Tango hope you had a good sleep after that!

Does anyone else have insomnia when preg? I'm wide awake at 4am usually when ds is sleeping soundly!!
