I hate how matter of fact Drs can be sometimes Fugg. They can sometimes forget that we are real people with real emotions. This is real life for us for Gods sake! But then at the same time, they must be so desensitised from it all, they see it everyday... Your LO's card sounds soooo cute!

So drumroll please!!!!! Baby is 3/5 engaged! Yay! Grin

Fugghetaboutit · 02/12/2015 12:46

Here's a pic!

They were sooo short staffed that day I felt sorry for them. Luckily I will have my scan on Friday and will hopefully be able to talk to someone in more depth then. I've written some questions down so I'm more prepared :)

Yay to being engaged! Are you waddling around like mother goose? :)

Aw! Cuteness overload!

I'm walking surprisingly well actually. No waddle action here. Touch wood it stays like that!

CuppaSarah · 02/12/2015 18:03

Awww fugg that card is just lovely, what a brilliant nursery! I hope you get lots of answers from someone more sympathetic next appointment. So easy to go blank in medical situations isn't it?

Sherbert hurray!! You're half way engaged, labour could be any day, any hour, any second right? Not that I'm excited for you. I have my 36 week appointment tomorrow hoping for similar news.

We made the mistake of watching my two year old dnephew today. I love him to bits, but with a two year old and a baby, sil and bil have to be a lot more relaxed with behaviour than us. So it was 3 hours of damage control. I mean DD is no angel, but dnphew caused so much damage despite me and dh being there watching him and DD. Getting nervous about how we'll cope with two children now. Although newborns can't move at least!

Tangoandcreditcards · 02/12/2015 20:45

So cute fugg !

Hopefully all will be clearer on Fri and you'll be another few days closer to the magic 37 week mark and meeting this little one.

sherbert - that's a step in the right direction!

cuppa - sounds hectic, especially immediately post-move. Don't overdo it now!
I'm struggling with my own (almost) 2yo even with DP at home to help (although he is taking the opportunity to do some 'projects' whilst I parent-by-pointing...).

I realised yesterday that I ran out of annual leave and officially started mat leave and it was exactly 1 year since I returned to work after my last maternity leave (10mo). I'm torn between feeling lucky and guilty! I have spent this week cooking and filling up the freezer with food. We won't starve now in the event of a baby or a zombie apocalypse!

CuppaSarah · 02/12/2015 22:37

That post big shop feeling of 'if society collapsed right now, we'd do ok' is one of my absolute favriote feelings of all time.

Had very swelly legs and lots of floaters today, so have overdone it for sure. Glad to be seeing the midwife tomorrow, reassurance is always welcome. I shall be on parenting by pointing tomorrow too. DD has named the baby peppa/sammy which is progress from pikachu/pokemon Grin

horseylady · 03/12/2015 11:55

Last day at work today!!!!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 03/12/2015 15:38

I'm in hospital with pre eclampsia, about to be induced.

Last day at work was supposed to be tomorrow!

sherbertlemon17 · 03/12/2015 15:52

Armani hope you're OK! amazing to be induced but hope you are resting up and looking after yourself Flowers

Yay for last day at work horsey! Smile

Tangoandcreditcards · 03/12/2015 15:54

Good luck armani ! Hope you're ok.

Wow. Are any of us going to make it to Christmas?

Well done horsey - feet up time!

CuppaSarah · 03/12/2015 16:05

Oh Armarni you take care and good luck with your induction! I hope it goes lovely and smoothly for you and your little one. Only a few days wait at the worst and you'll be holding your baby! Final stretch for you now!

Congratulations horsey! Enjoy your time off. Get some rest.

To add to our growing list of complications I have a scan Tuesday to check presentation as baby is suspected breech! DD was at this point too, so I'm not too worried. My hospitals policy is vaginal delivery attempts for breech second timers so I'm quite excited by the prospect of a breech vaginal birth.

But I tempted fate by watching the episode of call the midwife, where chummy delivers a breech baby last night. I was asking for it really.

Gillster · 03/12/2015 17:07

Good luck Armani, hope the induction process goes smoothly and that there are no complications. Hope you've managed to get everything prepared in time given that you weren't supposed to finish work until tomorrow.

Hows life in the new house cuppa? Hope you're settled.
Everything good here new house is as lovely as I remember staying at the in laws whilst we wait for furniture. 37 weeks today and 4/5ths engaged.
Hope everyones well and enjoying maternity leave x

Fugghetaboutit · 04/12/2015 08:45

Congrats Armani! Hope it went ok and baby is well! Flowers

sherbertlemon17 · 04/12/2015 09:57

Congratulations Armani! Amazing news!

Tangoandcreditcards · 04/12/2015 16:00

Just had the midwife over for home birth assessment. She thinks the baby is breach. (Midwife last week thought it wasn't, scan 4 weeks ago had it breach, who knows).

She's booked me for a scan on Mon to see for sure. Might be too late to try and turn it if it is breach so might have to abandon home birth plans. Trying not to be gutted, what will be, will be.

In other news. I might be dying of piles anyway. Sad

Hope everyone else looking forward to a good weekend, especially armani.

CuppaSarah · 04/12/2015 16:28

Oh Tango at least we're both in the same shoes! We can moan about it together.

Hope, so glad the move is going well, but don't you dare over do it! I was 4/5ths engaged and went into labour because I lifted a heavy plant pot and it pushed dd that last 5th down. Hopefully the house will come together quickly and painlessly and you'll be super settled before baby makes an appearance.

Hope today's appointment went really well fugg, thinking of you.

Have a lovely weekend with your lovely baby Armani!!

Tangoandcreditcards · 04/12/2015 16:34

Oh snap cuppa - I missed a couple of updates there. Crossing fingers we've got late turners!

Thinking of you fugg

CuppaSarah · 04/12/2015 17:08

I think with Armanis exciting news it's easily missed! Apparently my stomach muscles are impressively crap so baby has loads and loads of space to wibble round, he was sideways the other morning. Been diagonal today. So very interested to see what the scan brings.

Hands and knees in the bath for two hours turned DD so might be worth a try.

Fugghetaboutit · 05/12/2015 07:04

Thank you for all checking on me! Yesterday was a long day at the hospital being checked.
Scan went well, fluid is up a bit since Monday so technician said no need to induce, then saw dr and was monitored who said they will probably still want to next week but will wait for a consultant for final verdict.
She came and said, no induction needed but booked me in for a growth scan on the 14th and to keep an eye on movement and coming in if I'm worried.
That all took from 10-4pm so was pretty knackered after.
So much flip flopping advice!

Hope you're all well x
