Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 34th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

la you poor thing good luck for today. And please please do hog the thread if you feel up to it, we are loving your updates and will all be wondering how you're getting on anyway!

would so good to hear from you again! Good luck with the mw today, hopefully nothing of concern x

This'll make you grimace - last night DP was happily drinking ale out of the science beaker that was my ROC during JSing Grin yep, he knows I've pissed in it multiple times and he doesn't care! Confused

Morning all.
Sorry to hear you're not progressing much La I how you've managed to get some rest. Watching DH curl up and try to get 40 winks in various places and positions was one of the most stressful bits of my induction!

I hope you have a new plan of action soon.

I have two things on my to do list today; bathroom & our bedroom.
I reckon it should take me about all day to clean and tidy both of them Grin

How old is your DS Thursday? Are you a SAHM?

Purpleball · 27/07/2015 08:19

Happy Monday viroids Smile

La, you're a legend. Hope you're coping ok and DH gets some sleep. Gx MiniLa appears today Smile

CountryGal4 · 27/07/2015 08:27

For you la: I had something that
Was obv ectopic pains all last night. Freaked right out. This morning after a trip to the bathroom they've miraculously disappeared! Glad I didn't tell dh haha

ThursdayLast · 27/07/2015 08:33

I am a SAHM La and love it most of the time. DS is 2.4 nearly Shock
I'm v lucky as DH works from home, so I don't have to do ALL the daily grind alone like a lot of SAHMs.

How are you feeling? Any contractions?

CarrotPuff · 27/07/2015 08:42

La I can't stop admiring your positivity. I hope there are some further good news after the exam.

ChatEnOeuf · 27/07/2015 08:45

Sure there's a Friends episode similar to this...all those ladies being wheeled off to have their babies must be annoying. Good luck for plan B today.

WilHarlot · 27/07/2015 08:50

La, this is so like my first labour except they wouldn't remove the horrible pessary overnight. It's much better once it-s out isn't it? You must be getting really tired by now, hope all starts moving a bit faster Thanks

I wear pants to bed Lil. Surely you have to wash your pyjamas too often otherwise?

I may have had a meltdown in the night about lack of sleep. Actually think my brain is giving up on me.

Pisghetti · 27/07/2015 08:54

Another night time knicker wearer here. Gives DP something to do Wink

Hope today goes better La! I only ended up using the basic birth breath on its own. I did a bit of the escalator breath with the gas and air though. In in in out, in in in out, off my tits, ouuuut.

Jcandy · 27/07/2015 08:54

Oh la sorry it hasn't progressed any further, was really looking forward to waking up this morning and hearing all about minila. Please do keep updating if you can. Makes us feel as if we are there with you and we want to give you all the support we can Smile

I'm so tired!!! This going to work lark is not fun! Doesn't help that because of my shorter shifts I'm only having one day off in between a long stretch but it's better than trying to drag myself through 13 hours. At least the actual work side of things is ok Smile positive aspects in everything etc etc

Indigoblue2 · 27/07/2015 09:02

Thanks for the breathing advice la! Fingers crossed for not much longer Thanks

pis is the basic birthing breath the one la said was in for 4 and out for 6/8? What the escalator breath? It sounds like you breath in more than out on that one!

Pisghetti · 27/07/2015 09:12

Indigo yes the bbb is in for 4 out for 6/8. The escalator breath is used for longer contractions where you give a short puff out every few seconds (a sort of 'huh' sound) to enable you to continue breathing in to the peak of the contraction before a long blow away as it wanes.

With hypnobirthing I found that the escalator breath didn't work for me as it brought me out of the relaxed state so I stuck with the bbb until I started on G&A which creates a slightly alternative hypnotic state of its own! I did find it useful using the two together though (ie basic breath and hypnobirthing).

RPopz · 27/07/2015 09:18

I never really got the hang of the escalator breath. Bbb all the way for me.

Bloody hell La -

RPopz · 27/07/2015 09:20

Whoops, hit post too soon! You're being so positive, its amazing. Glad you got a bit of rest. Today you will meet mini La surely?! xx

RhiannonElward · 27/07/2015 09:21

Awww La that's rubbish, you poor thing. Hope you have a baby today, you've certainly earned him. Your uterus is clearly the most lovely place to be :)

I'm in the knickers to bed group at the moment. It's mostly because I have to get up in the night to see to the kids and I've let my fanjo run wild. I'd feel weird presenting them with a massive hairy growler at 4am, don't want to give them nightmares.

LaLaLaaaa · 27/07/2015 09:24

Indigo the basic breath is same one I said - also known as resting breath. Escalator breath is used during contractions, like surfing a wave to the top then coming back down

I'm glad I'm coming across as positive and not moany! My dh is such a positive person, he is keeping me right. Love him to bits. I think I'm past moany point because there truly is nothing I can do to change what's happening and so we may as well ride it out! It's not like we've got anywhere else we need to be.

Just chatted to mw - new mws just appeared and I know one of them already and she's fab. The risk with giving me the gel is if I hyper contract again they can't remove it, whereas pessary can be removed. Bit scared of pessary being put in again because of the pain but they've assured me try will keep on top of pain relief today.

Dr is coming in sec to examine and tell me options for if this fails again. Presuming it would be CS?

I used to wear pants at night but like to be free n easy nowadays. Had to chuck my pants in bin this morning as they got wrecked yesterday - remember that anyone packing your hospital bag! I'm so glad that we brought as much as we did, as we've ended up needing to be here longer than expected.

How was appointment gaggia?

Pretzel - that's true love for you!

Country - how far you along? Round ligament pains or stretchy womble pains? I had loads in first tri

Thursday - our plan is to run business from home eventually so I don't need to leave kids every day. Our mission for my mat leave is to get small business loan and get set up. I don't think I'd want to be SAHM solely because I like working but I'd love to work from home so I can look after the kids and not put them in nursery.

Chat - I was thinking about that!! It was Rachel wasn't it? I said to mw this morning they're not allowed to let anyone else go through to delivery before me, it's my turn! Keep thinking about all my friends who've gone into labour naturally last few weeks and had 5 hour labours. Snot fair but tbh I know I've been lucky because a lot of my mates were induced early due to complications. I'm thankful that we are in this situation because miniLa is content and trying to focus on that.

They're currently admitting the other ladies having induction and Dh and I are sending them subliminal messages saying they have to wait in line til I have my baby!

Wil - boooooo :( can anyone look after the weans and let you have some kip?

LaLaLaaaa · 27/07/2015 09:25

Rhi you crack me up! You have such an incredible way with words!!!!

CountryGal4 · 27/07/2015 09:28

la you are a warrior woman!!

Almost 7 weeks. Expect it was pooh pains haha. Gone completely now!

JuniDD · 27/07/2015 09:32

Well done la, I'm visiting as was worrying. You sound in good spirits! Xxx

goodnessgraciousgouda · 27/07/2015 09:34

Christ on a bike La, you should be sainted for your patience! I'd be screaming "CUT ME OPEN AND GET IT OUT" by now!!!

It sounds like you've been really unlucky with midwives as well. I'd recommend going with the strategy of not asking. Telling. Or demanding. Or maybe tell DH to pick that shit up because I'm sure you got no energy for arguing!!! I'll be thinking of you today, and hoping that IT IS YOUR TURN!

On the pants in bed debate, I am firmly on side "wearing pants". Not wearing pants ib bed just seems vaguely gross

oneyorkshirepud · 27/07/2015 09:42

Morning all. La you and Mr La are heros! Minila had better be the cutest baby of all time after all of this effort to get him out!

Country I have definitely panicked over poo pains in the last few months. Confused

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 27/07/2015 09:43

Yay for lovely midwives la! Gx.
I wear pants when I'm in pjs, but when I sleep naked I don't. The latter is weather dependent! Grin

CountryGal4 · 27/07/2015 09:52

It's actually hilarious pud !!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 27/07/2015 09:53

LA you trouper! Well done for staying positive. When you want to start your business let me know and I can give you some very helpful contacts and resources. I run a small agency out of my home with DP so we can be with our children.

Rhi you made me laugh!

I wear knickers to bed but don't always sleep in them Wink never tops though as I get too hot to sleep in PJs. Wear PJs pretty much all day as working from home.
