Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 34th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

We are having Down's screening. It won't change our decision but we want to know in advance. Smile

CountryGal4 · 29/07/2015 06:56

mrs had to do the same as gp. Was deeply uninterested. Booked my app over the phone . Does anyone know if I should have got confirmation in the post?

ThursdayLast · 29/07/2015 07:11

I think each trust varies so much country it's impossible for anyone to advise what to expect admin-wise. For me, I ring the docs surgery and they put me on a list of pregnant women and how far along they think they are . Then the community MW calls you directly to arrange the booking in app. I didn't bother going in to see the doc this time around.

Still feeling sick as a dog, but can't just opt out of life today like I did yesterday.

waves at 5hell :)

jellypi3 · 29/07/2015 07:21

Hey 5hell :) hope over when you're ready

WilHarlot · 29/07/2015 07:28

Ooooh is it you next Elastovag? When's your due date? Aswell as preventing tearing, reducing pain - is it supposed to make baby come out easier because you're more 'supple' - for want of a better word - and you've kind of rehearsed it? I am totally obsessed with this contraption - pity it's far too late for me.

jellypi3 · 29/07/2015 07:46

Hope la and baby la are ok.

After mega poo last night I woke up to a really hard belly this am. Not sure if it's bloat or bump!

Purpleball · 29/07/2015 08:08

Tentative welcome 5hell Smile

La, hope you and baby are ok

Deeply ShockShockShock I've got 6 weeks

goodnessgraciousgouda · 29/07/2015 08:25

Hi 5hell !!!! Hurrah hurrah!!!! Come back whenever you are feeling a bit more at ease. We have a few people at the beginning at the moment, which is nice for newbies.

secondcupoftea If it's three hours and you haven't had any appointments prior, it sounds like they might just do a massive batch of admin in one go. Family history, weight, date of last period, etc.

Or it could just be that they need to you factor in two and a half hours of waiting, and then it only takes 30 minutes....

I find it very odd that they would take your blood to check for downs, and then just have to wait until you had the scan until they could formulate an actual risk assessment - unless they are planning to book you in for one straight after?

Over here we had the scan (where she pointed out whatever she was looking at), she wrote a prescription for blood tests which I had done the next day, then I collected the results a week later. We wouldn't have continued the pregnancy if it had turned out (with more tests obviously) that we were at high risk, so it was good to get it done quickly.

But did I misunderstand, or have you really not had any blood tests yet? Or did you do these with your GP? I'd be a bit shocked to get to 11 weeks and not have had my bloods done. Yes, they would need to do the blood for Down's around that point, but there are loads of others they need to do beforehand. Blood type and rhesus (if you don't know), immunity to various things, blood count, etc. The first lot of bloods is fucking huge, so I'd be surprised if they did that AND the draw for downs (which has to be separate) on the same day.

Purpleball · 29/07/2015 08:32

I had loads of bloods taken by the MW at booking in at 8weeks. They then arranged my 12 week scan. Didn't have the Downs test as we had a private harmony one

DulcetMoans · 29/07/2015 08:32

Welcome to all the newcomers! It's been a bumper crop of BFPs lately.

Is there an epi-no competition now?! Come on viroids, get stretching! Be interesting to know if it helps!

jellypi3 · 29/07/2015 08:43

i had no bloods at booking. Booking was at 8 weeks, just MW in doctors running through history and telling me if i was high or low risk. At 10 weeks I had bloods at hospital. At 12 weeks I had scan and downs bloods.

oneyorkshirepud · 29/07/2015 08:45

Gouda I didn't have any bloods until 12 weeks, think that is normal in the UK?!

honeysucklejasmine · 29/07/2015 08:49

I had bloods at booking, and they measure the nuchal fold at 12 week scan.

It was only three vials of blood though. Hardly any! The most I've had taken at once was about 6 vials. (But I am quite broken) bless the phlebotomist, asking if I was OK with needles. Frankly I'm surprised I don't have track marks!

pretzelpieces · 29/07/2015 08:49

I'm surprised how different it is everywhere! Shock

Welcome 5hell!

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/07/2015 08:54

Hi 5hell [waves]! I remember you from the JS threads, I love a familiar face! Like someone else said there's loads of newly preggos at the minute Smile

Thanks all on the advice re pooing the baby out Blush I think it's up there with when I thought you could get pregnant from swallowing jizz...aged about 16!

I think what I worry about in this context is my cervix opening...this wouldn't happen without my knowledge would it?! Surely id have pretty painful contraction like cramps... Anxiety has been terrible this week which is annoying, had such a lovely anxiety free period between my 12 week scan and the spotting a couple of weeks ago. Even though I know that means nothing I think it's out me on edge as I keep imagining things going wrong and how devastated I would be at this late stage.

Also, has anyone else experienced an ache style pain in their fanjo? I've had it on and off, more an ache than a cramp, but I noticed in bed last night that it's really bad when I lie on my right side Hmm not seeing midwife for weeks as I'm 17+4 so can't really ask anyone.

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/07/2015 08:56

Oh and I had the Down's syndrome screening, they took the NT measurement at the dating scan (12 weeks) then took my bloods straight afterwards, I then got a letter a week later to say I was low risk. No bloods taken at booking in appt at 8 weeks, I wasn't even weighed!

RhiannonElward · 29/07/2015 08:57

Morning ladies!

Tentative welcome 5hell, those undergrads have clearly been at it like true professionals and I am truly proud Wink Grin

Hope La is doing well and enjoying those lovely snuggles with Minila. I'm half desperate for my turn and half panicked that I still have so much to buy. Have asked for vouchers for my birthday (34 next week! Shit!) off everyone who has asked what I'd like so hopefully that means I can get dp to take me for an extended baby shop Grin

This week I am mostly exhausted. I spent four hours at a soft play centre yesterday and got home just as my brother arrived for a visit. I just wanted to sleep. I seem to have days with no plans which are boring and lonely or I am doing too much and wish the world would leave me alone. I don't think there's an in between.

pretzelpieces · 29/07/2015 09:00

looking yep I've had stabby fanjo pains all along, not severe pain though. I also worrying about straining too hard on the loo in case I do something to my uterus!

Welcome back 5hell!!!!!!! At this rate there will be a baby per day in march, cant wait.
dulcet how goes motherhood? Apart from the constant boobing?
I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and haven't got a single baby item. Oh. Shit. Still haven't completed on the new house so cant start work on it and it really needs work. Shiiiiiiiit. Paniiiiiiiiiiiiiiic!!!!!!!!

honeysucklejasmine · 29/07/2015 09:29

Ga are you actually moving in to it, or can you stay where you are whilst works are done?

oneyorkshirepud · 29/07/2015 09:32

Lol well done Ga, I was starting to be concerned that I have nothing at 20 weeks but 30 weeks is impressive!! Can you start mat leave early in order to get the house ready? I called my solicitor every day when we were buying our house she loved having me as a client. I also managed to get the number/email of the people buying from us and the people selling to us so that we could confer. At this point the solicitors had to stop making shit up fobbing us off as we were all talking to each other, and that really helped to get things moving.

Looking, sorry that you are feeling so anxious. Stabby fanjo pains (and stabby bum pains - just me?) are par for the course. Maybe try to spend some time just chilling with your bump to see if you can chill yourself out a bit? Your cervix will be fine lovely. You might start to feel wiggles soon which will hopefully reassure you. When is your scan booked for? Flowers

SecondCupOfTea · 29/07/2015 09:37

Gouda I've not had any blood tests done yet. GP just did weight and BP. I guess I'll find out what they intend to do on the day!

Jcandy · 29/07/2015 09:47

Off to my GP this morning to see what they say about my palpitations. I'm getting them every day in the morning or evening or both. I do worry that the GP won't believe me though since I'm unlikely to have them whilst there. Oh well can't be helped I guess.

Glad to see you back 5hell Smile

ga I think you're crazy for considering moving now especially into a house that needs so much work! Then again I'm terrible at diy so it would be a nightmare for me. I hope it works out for you and you can get in soon!

Rhi I feel like that, there just doesn't seem a happy medium where I can do stuff and not feel exhausted.

looking could be round ligament pain. I've been having all sorts of different twinges that hurt or ache but I'm going with as long as they are mild or only medium for a short time then I'm not worrying. Any severe pain I'd get checked out
