Hi! Anyone else around yet who's expecting in April 2016? I've searched Mumsnet but can't find a thread- apologies if I've missed it. Just got my BFP today due date would be 2nd April (so the NHS website tells me). Would be great to have company on this journey!!

Thanks so much everyone. I've told my mum and she's going to take me to hospital on Saturday for follow-up bloods. I'm going to move over to the miscarriage board as it doesn't seem fair to hog this board with this. I'll let you know if I get good news.

Wishing you all the best of luck for the rest of your pregnancies x

CarrotVan · 27/08/2015 20:03

We'll be thinking of you sophia

CottonSock · 27/08/2015 21:35

Thanks all for your best wishes earlier in week. I had my mc confirmed today, which was OK as I was offered proper support as recurrent miscarriage patient next time. I knew the outcome really and glad its moved on naturally. Feeling OK, have researched everything from adoption to causes/ cures / statistics. I also told my family and close friends (a lot are pregnant) and new boss! I find its much better to share so people can support and understand. Anyway, Sophia I wanted to reply when I saw your post. I'm very sorry for your news and if you want to private message me with any questions you like, I will try and be honest and helpful. In a way the uncertainty (and shock) are the worst part. It's hard to imagine it now, but time will heal.

The rest of you, please have long and happy pregnancies xx

Sophia1984 · 27/08/2015 21:43

Thank you so much CottonSock and so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm just praying that it's a missed miscarriage that passes naturally, and not an ectopic pregnancy. Best of luck for the future, whatever you decide xx

Emileelogan · 27/08/2015 21:46

Hugs to u both cotton and Sophia xxx

mascaraisamust · 27/08/2015 21:57

Sorry to hear this cotton and Sophia. Take care both.

It's my last night on holiday and I've just been to the loo and I've noticed brown spotting. I am trying to stay chilled as I've practically got a full day tomorrow away from home. Midwife appointment is on Monday. No real symptoms still either, just bloating. There's nothing I can do I guess but just wait it out.

Sophia1984 · 27/08/2015 22:24

Thanks mascaraisamust From everything I've read, brown spotting is normally just old blood being expelled. Hope all is well x

CarrotVan · 28/08/2015 07:02

Glad you're gettng support cotton

mascara brown spotting isn't a worry (well I know it is really but you know what I mean). MW on Monday at least means it's not too long to wait.

I feel awful. Really bad stomach cramps and diarrhea just before bed, covered in sweat and could barely stand up. Feeling a bit better today but another day on my own with DS then need to drive to an unfamiliar place in the rush hour to collect DH after his week away. I feel quite unwell

mascaraisamust · 28/08/2015 07:12

Sounds like you might have D&V Carrot. I was like that a few weeks ago. Sip water, eat dry biscuits and try rest and much as you can Sad at least your DH is back today

CarrotVan · 28/08/2015 07:52

No further bouts so far. I just feel lousy

spottedquoll · 28/08/2015 13:53

I feel for you Carrot - can your DH get a taxi or a bus instead of you having to go and pick him up? Sounds like you need to move as little as possible! Hopefully it is a 12 hour bug and you will pick up soon.

CarrotVan · 28/08/2015 14:36

Maybe. It's 30 mins each way in reasonably clear traffic and I have a banging bad headache. I really need sleep but I'm sleeping really badly at the moment

poco2015 · 28/08/2015 16:55

tmi warning:

cramping really f-ing bacd cramping and snot green discharge ok or not ok?

Sorry I have been absent for a couple of days Sophia bless your heart stay strong, and have hope. Cotton sorry about your mc, mc are sh it, there is no other word for it, hugs and gin! How is everyone else doing

waxweasel · 28/08/2015 16:58

Poor you Carrot - that sounds horrible. Have you coped ok with DS today? A day alone with a toddler and a dodgy stomach is a tough deal. I would definitely be making DH get a taxi, if it were me.

I have had some good news today! My best friend is also pg but a few months ahead - we've got very different taste in names but somehow both have the same first choice for a girls name this time round. We are both a bit baby obsessed and had discussed it before we were even pg. So literally the whole time I have been fretting about what I'd do if we both had girls - we have no other back up choice, it's a fairly unusual name, and it would look like I'd copied her! I know this is a minor problem but in my hormonal state it has been a Major Issue.

Anyway, today she had her 20 week scan and is having a boy! I am thrilled for her, but also unbelievably relieved that my top girls name is now up for grabs again Grin

PallasCat · 28/08/2015 17:08

Haha waxweasel - good news all round then!

My BF is also pregnant - about a month ahead of me I think. I'm going to tell her we're expecting too this weekend, and also my Mum.

Carrot: taxi. Definitely. You need to look after yourself.

PallasCat · 28/08/2015 17:16

Cotton and Sophia thinking of you both.

Pearl I've no idea, sorry. Have you called GP/midwife?

PallasCat · 28/08/2015 17:16

Poco, not Pearl, sorry!

KnitsBakesAndReads · 28/08/2015 17:21

Really sorry to hear your news Cotton. I'm glad you're getting support and hope you're managing as well as possible in the circumstances. Flowers

Hope you're feeling better soon Carrot. That type of bug is horrible at the best of times, let alone when you're pregnant. Hope you've managed okay with your DS today and your DH managed to get home without you having to make that long journey.

poco I'm sure it's fine, but I'd probably check with your GP or MW if I were you. (Then again, I can be a bit over cautious so I'm sure someone else will be along soon to say it's absolutely normal and nothing to go to the GP about!) There's a bit of info on the NHS website if that's useful.

I'm doing okay at the moment. Still a bit nervous as not having many symptoms, other than tiredness and occasional waves of nausea. Should really be grateful, but still struggling to shake off the occasional feeling of worry about it. How's everyone else?

CarrotVan · 28/08/2015 17:41

DH is getting a taxi. DS has a monster nap and is being lovely. I told him I had a sore tummy and he kissed it better. I have had lots of cream crackers and fizzy water today

poco I'd call the antenatal helpline for advice. There will be one for your local maternity leave. If you feel otherwise well I wouldn't worry to much but I'd have some concern over a UTI or some infection

knits I've not got many symptoms either.

PallasCat · 28/08/2015 18:51

Minimal symptoms and exactly the same concern, Knits. That said I am mega-tired, which hasn't been a problem this week, but will be next (care to guess my profession, anyone?!)

woundbobbin · 28/08/2015 19:08

Really sorry to hear your news cotton.
Hope you feel better soon carrot.
Got rumbled by someone at work today who heard me puking (gross) we are in the same office but not in the same team so as nice as she is I don't really know her feels odd that she should know before all my friends and family! Must learn to puke quietly!

pingoose · 28/08/2015 19:19

knits same here- only occasional nausea and tired. And sometimes I think the nausea is just nerves about having a baby!

Dellabob123 · 28/08/2015 19:48

Hi ladies, not posted for a while but wanted to update. I too have had zero symptons so had a scan yesterday for peace of mind.....saw the little heartbeat and all fine. So weird. But they brought me forward a day so edd is now 6 April.

Waiting in for my dominos pizza and caramel chew chew delivery. It's fridY night and I'm pregnant Smile

mascaraisamust · 28/08/2015 21:15

Great news Della.

I'm still spotting, now with a pink tinge. I'm trying to stay positive but I just don't know, it's been like this for two days now and seems to be getting worse. Not sure what I can do with it being a bank hol either.

CarrotVan · 28/08/2015 21:24

Call antenatal triage/helpline and they will know what your options are, mascara. Round here there's an EPU open 7 days a week so you might be able to find similar
