I've finally just bought some maternity jeans from Asos.. they are over the bump band ones.. are they any good!? i was hoping to just wear leggings the entire time but im always conscious of the top maybe not being long enough.. nothing worse than seeing someone's bum in leggings hahaBlush

Yokyil · 01/08/2015 11:34

Ahh missmartin am exactly the same - I'd live in my maternity leggings but am constantly pulling my top down! Feel exposed Blush lol

Morning ladies!

Had an amazing time yesterday, went out with DH straight from work had a lovely Steak (well done) and cocktails (non alcoholic) meal before going to see The Last Leg being filmed... Left the flat at 6:35am Friday morning and didn't get back till 12:30am this morning.... Paying for it now though as I'm knackered!

Just noticed that a sticker has appeared on the front of my Red Book saying 'this patient needs MMR'

Has anyone else had one of these or known of these?

Oysterbabe · 01/08/2015 12:32

Congrats on your low risk result MissMartinSmile

I think my nausea is completely gone now, just fat and tired.

Congrats Martin!

I would happily live in leggings. But alas I bought the next size up in my mat ones and they're all still a bit big. Feel a bit ridiculous in them. But I have some Jersey harem pants that are marketed as maternity which I'm wearing and are sooo comfy.

Currently having a pedicure. Ahhhh!

And! Made my first official baby purchase! Pic from eBay.

pug that's gorgeous!!

tinyme135 · 01/08/2015 13:14

Just finished work and it wasn't stressful thank god. Just meeting up with the OH and popping into our local city and going to spoil myself rotten as I think I need it.

MissSMartin · 01/08/2015 13:14

Thats lovely Pug Smile

Thanks Ladies x

sleepy I dont have a red book? mines green papers?

ValancyJane · 01/08/2015 13:42

Oooh pug that IS nice!! We don't have a huge amount of room in our nursery-to-be, we were planning to relocate the chair that is too big for my dressing room into the nursery which is this one, ladies who've been there before will this be completely impractical for nursing? It's comfortable and pretty roomy, but not sure if I need something that leans back a bit more?

Also, we decided yesterday on a gliding crib, but I have just seen the snuzpod and OH and I are pretty sold on that now!

SleepyDragon · 01/08/2015 15:43

Wonder if it depends where you are then MissSMartin all my papers and notes etc are bound in a red folder/book known as your 'Red Book'.

Just been to Mothercare and have bought the 'Darlington' cot bed, under drawer storage and cot top changer for £207 inc storage!

AlohaMama · 01/08/2015 15:52

That is lovely pug. I've had my eye on eBay for a nursing chair but living in a more rural location has its downsides - very little available.

MissSMartin · 01/08/2015 16:07

sleepy yeah maybe!? I need my rubella doing after the baby is born as they can't determine if im immune or not. Maybe you might be the same?

Here's what mine looks like. . Does anyone else have notes like this?

SleepyDragon · 01/08/2015 16:09

Oops.... Inc delivery I should say.

ValancyJane · 01/08/2015 16:17

My notes are the same as Miss's, I have been told to carry them everywhere. So far they have only left the drawer once to go to my 12 week appointment... They're just far too big for my bag!!

Oysterbabe · 01/08/2015 18:12

My book is yellow.

lutrinae · 01/08/2015 18:48

They took my notes off me until 20 wk scan but mine are white/grey (am in Scotland)

lutrinae · 01/08/2015 18:49

I also have copies of my notes from DS who was born in London which cost me £50!!!

CubanoHabana · 01/08/2015 19:16

Struggling to keep up!

I bought some mat leggings, a maxi dress, top and some wide leg floral trousers yesterday from new looks sale. Wow The leggings are so comfy - last time I just bought normal ones a few sizes up but now converted!

brickiemum2 · 01/08/2015 21:10

Sleepy...I was on labetalol during last pregnancy and had ALL of the side effects. It was awful. I'm surprised you've been put on it with a single incident of bp of 140/90. NICE guidelines state that level is mild hypertension at most and doesn't need medicating. Mine is a similar level and has been since booking but I won't be mediated again until it's much higher. I'm hoping to avoid it due to bad side effects on baby last time.
I also need an mmr when leaving postnatal ward as I'm no longer immune to rubella.

coffeenut · 02/08/2015 04:23

congrats on low risk missmartin!

sorry you've been feeling down lily. i don't know how you dj while pregnant. I am super sensitive to noise and light, and also sooooo tired by 10pm.

My kids had a sleepover last night with their grandparents and DH and I had a date night. It was great! Lay in bed this morning for ages feeling baby kick and turn. I think he may have had a growth spurt as I'm starting to really notice the movement more.

lutrinae where did you have DS? I'd love to get a copy of the notes for DD1 (she was born at UCH)

18 weeks today.

frozenfairy123 · 02/08/2015 06:51

coffee u can get your notes from the hospital but it takes ages and depends how big your notes are as to the price. Mine cost about £35 x

lutrinae · 02/08/2015 08:34

From Homerton coffee, you'll need to ring UCH and ask for their medical records department.
As frozen says mine took an age.

coffeenut · 02/08/2015 08:48

thanks frozen and lutrinae ... just had a quick look on website and there's a form I can send off. Looks like a bit of a PITA to do from here, not sure it's worth it!

crumble74 · 02/08/2015 09:20

Woke up from Braxton Hicks contractions brought on by a very vivid naughty dream. Blush Had some yesterday too, feels funny to have them again (BH not naughty dreams).

BeeMyBaby · 02/08/2015 10:12

crumble I've started getting them too, which is about the same time I started getting them when I was expecting dd2. Luckily they never wake me up :)
