Tiny oh dear to you.. that sounds painful.. glad u and bump are okay Smile x

MissMartin10 · 29/07/2015 20:14

omg lol bp* not ho? Hmm

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/07/2015 20:19

brooke I've been having similar, actual achey pains IN my foof. Not agony at all but enough to make me aware. I rang the antenatal assessment centre today as I was getting really anxious about the risk of having an incompetent/shortened cervix (my new big worry Sad) and they said that pains like this are normal and nothing I described to them sounded concerning.

crumble74 · 29/07/2015 20:29

Have a hug sleepy, they didn't listen in at my MW appt either and I'm sure your baby is absolutely fine, they're just making sure you're ok now and your BP doesn't go up any higher. Go easy on yourself.

Glad you're ok tiny!

joey I thought you were a fashion editor for Vogue/Marie Claire Grin
Great air miles though ... I think our long haul days are well & truly over. Center Parcs it is!

mrsfazruns · 29/07/2015 20:53

Thanks for all the support ladies!! The spotting was pink/brown but literally a few spots on the paper and that was it! I called gp and she said that it being so small is nothing to worry about abe prob down to the uti and thrush I have at the mo (oh the joys of growing a human)! She also said chances of MC are so low and if I was miscarrying at this stage then bleeding would be MASSIVE! So she said not to worry .... Been at work on a 12 hour shift and no more spots!!!

I'm off running though .... Spinning and swimming it is

SleepyDragon · 29/07/2015 21:06

Thanks for your reassurances ladies. Being my first and knowing I'm old and fat anyway I think it's knocked me for six as we were expecting GD but not possible Pre Eclampsia

Think I'm going to have to look at my foods more carefully but I don't even put salt in or on my cooking so not sure where to start!

Pugmumlondon · 29/07/2015 21:15

Hugs sleepy, hoping it will work out.

Faz - glad all ok. So scary.

Thank god it's Thursday tomorrow!!

MissMartin10 · 29/07/2015 21:44

yeah good idea sleepy Smile salt is a really big contributer to bp.. try and cook your own meals from fresh that way you know exactly what is in it.. best to stay away from processed meals and takeaways. . especially chinese ect it absolutely packed..
i really hope its just a precaution and its not actually p.e.. take care hun x

MissMartin10 · 29/07/2015 21:46

mrsfaz so glad the spotting has stopped.. bet your so relieved Smile It's
probably just the running giggling you around too much hehe!

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/07/2015 21:47

Good to hear mrsfaz. You inspired me to go back to spin tonight, first class in about 9 or 10 weeks! I was so nervous and have been crampy and anxious all day which didn't help...might try and go once a week though just to keep my hand in!

spydie · 29/07/2015 22:10

Hope everyone is well today!

Is anyone suffering from being bunged up down below? I keep getting bouts of constipation, which from Google seems quite common, but I find it lasts for days and I end up in agony. MW said either senakot or lactulose. Former gives me awful cramps, so tonight trying the lactulose! Does anyone know if I can take it everyday to keep things regular? Diet and fluid intake is already good so just need something a bit more hardcore to avoid it in the first place!

Also, sorry rambling on, but has anyone had friends react to the news of their pregnancy pretty negatively? When I told colleagues at work a couple of weeks ago, a couple of supposed friends were really quite dismissive and I felt rude, and it really upset me. I'd pushed it from my mind but today again they were being quite offhand and someone else commented on how off they had found their reaction to me when I'd told them my news. It just got me thinking again really, I feel like I've almost lost a couple of friends and I'm not really sure why!! I'm probably being silly by being bothered by it, and should just move on!!

mrsfazruns · 29/07/2015 22:31

looking glad you went to spin .... I'm hoping To go back on Saturday ... Parkrun is cancelled for me till feb time :-(

Romeolovesjuliet · 29/07/2015 22:37

spydie I use fybogel as tried lactulose in the past and it gave me terrible cramps and wind (I know it is supposed to be gentle though so I'm sure it will be fine for you).
Sorry to hear about your friends' reactions - people are so mean sometimes Sad

Oysterbabe · 29/07/2015 23:40

Weird thing happened. A few days ago I had a dream that I had the baby and called him Esther.

Today one of my friends has come to visit from Sweden for a few days. She told me that she has had IVF and is 9 weeks pregnant. So anyway this evening we were talking about names and she told me if she has a girl she's calling it Esther.

So in conclusion, I think my pregnancy has made me psychic. Grin

coffeenut · 30/07/2015 00:18

lactulose if pretty gentle - I think I was told you can use it every day but shouldnt be used over a long period? I find a coffee really helps me. One coffee a day is fine now.

faz I'm glad the spotting was minimal and has stopped for you! Flowers

sleepy don't get too stressed. It's just an increased risk, it's not inevitable. My cousin in law developed high blood pressure in last tri and was hospitalised on and off - she never developed pre eclampsia. She is very large and I think her doctors were sure she would develop it, but never had any protein in her urine. I think keeping a close eye on your diet is a good idea though - like missm said, try not to have salty takeaways and look at salt content in packaged soup, bread etc.

coffeenut · 30/07/2015 00:21

oyster I think it's quite likely Wink Freaky coincidence though!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 30/07/2015 05:59

Very impressed by your psychic powers oyster! Can you predict whther mine is boy/girl and his/her name? It'll save a lot of disagreements with DH, ha!

AlohaMama · 30/07/2015 07:02

spydie sorry to hear about the negative reactions you've got from a couple of people. Is there any chance they might have reasons to find pregnancy announcements hard to deal with? Like TTC or mc?

Sympathise on the digestive issues, having similar problems myself....

Hope your head is feeling better this morning tiny

mrschatty · 30/07/2015 07:09

spydie that's a shame :( try to ignore it this is happy news no matter how one or two react!

fishermanswife1 · 30/07/2015 07:11

Sorry to hear you have this worry sleepy. As others have said, it's a higher risk and and more monitoring (seeing baby more often too!) But not inevitable. Be kind to and look after yourself. Stress won't help.

Have you tried prunes spydie? Handfull a day might help and a good snack. Wind settlersare ok for trapped gas too.

Sorry to hear about bad reactions. I haven't had "bad" reactions so to speak. Apart from one no reply from a family member for a day. But more of an awkwardness from that person and one other. But both those people have been TTC for over a year and going through the mill a bit, one having mc, as aloha suggests. So it's tough for them to hear. They are happy for me, but also sad for themselves.

Hope your head is better tiny! What happened?

AmyFlame1986 · 30/07/2015 07:13

Morning all

mrsfaz so pleased that you haven't had anymore spotting. Sometimes I think our bodies like to give is something to worry about.

When I tell anyone I'm pregnant I also get the same response 'you have only just got married' yes we got married in April (after planning it and saving for 2 years) and I fell pregnant in May but I'm not 15, (nearly 30!) we have just bought a beautiful family home.

If we would have got married 4 years ago we would have waited but I don't really see the issue! Some people don't think when they speak.
Anyone else lost weight in the past couple of weeks? Think it's a combination of the bloat going down and stress but am pleased as the weight I have put on on my hips looks like it is sliding forward to make my bump!

tinyme135 · 30/07/2015 07:19

fish my laminated flooring was wet from people walking in from the rain I slipped and banged my head off the wall and hit my back and hip. Baby is fine though just pounding headache.

frozenfairy123 · 30/07/2015 07:21

Sleepy my friend had the same very recently but her bp stayed ok and although she was checked regular she still got to 41 weeks before giving birth all ok. Try to relax and breath, do meditation. Check your diet. Don't drink coffee at all.
Spydie they sound jealous? Either that or they think they will have to do your workload when on ml? Xx

ValancyJane · 30/07/2015 07:42

Sleepy That is rubbish but at least they are keeping an eye and as others have said it won't necessarily lead to anything. Blood pressure can sometimes be a blip; as others have said salt can affect it, caffeine and stress can too. We did all our department's blood pressure during an open evening at school (I teach Science) and mine was the highest of the lot, probably because I'd eaten salty fish and chips for tea, had a load of caffeine, and was under monumental pressure that week! After that I started checking it at random times during the day, and found that the class I had (Year 10 gave me the highest reading!) and if I'd been standing up rather than sitting down affected it too. However on a good day it's 120/80 pretty much spot on.

tiny Poor you, hope you're taking it easy today!

MissMartin10 · 30/07/2015 07:56

the bad reactions I've received are all about my age really.. and 22 isn't that bad.. i own my own house & car ect so why wait when ive been with the same guy since i was 15? i think the people who react badly are jealous.. take no notice of it spydie they don't deserve your time.

Have a good day everyone Grin
