15 + 3 and my nausea is FINALLY starting to abate. That's not bad actually as it lasted a full 20 weeks with DS.

We moved into our house in October, it needs a lot doing to it but we can't afford much at the moment however we saved up and have just had a new carpet fitted in the lounge - it's lovely and fluffy and clean and soft and I can actually imagine putting baby down on it next year - yay!!

Romeolovesjuliet · 29/07/2015 14:02

Hope you're ok mrsfaz.
Just stood up from my desk to find my trousers were completely undone! I had to undo the button as they were digging in and the zip obviously worked its way down too Blush. Need to man up and tell work so I can crack open the maternity clothes.

MissMartin10 · 29/07/2015 14:16

haha romeo Blush
night oh good Grin ..I've felt okay so far today just it feels great, ive painted me front door and weeded all my front garden.. spiders everywhere..ekkk!
now off to make a snack of carrot sticks and philadelphia.. kinda healthy Hmm

hope everyone else is feeling okay x

fishermanswife1 · 29/07/2015 14:51

That sounds good night. With a very big, very furry dog our carpet is always attacked with the carpet cleaner. Would love a new one but in rented house.

Glad your feeling better missM.

Just had 16 wks MW appointment. Pretty underwhelming and not quite sure why we bothered, apart from for me to update them on what has been going on at the hospital and with my extra tests and appointment s, which they had no record of.
But at least got to hear bean's heartbeat. A little fast but just about in the acceptable range. Th st was lovely

EdgarAllenPoe · 29/07/2015 14:55

Bit of an anti-climatic day today. Was meant to have my 16 week appointment but just got a call to say it's cancelled because the midwife is at a homebirth. Oh well, such is life. Annoyingly they can't fit me in until next Wednesday or Thursday, by which point I'll be 18 weeks. I don't think it really matters all that much, but I'm pretty eager to talk about my achey hips with the midwife.

17 weeks tomorrow, and still no movements for me, but it's my first. Can't wait for that!

melonface · 29/07/2015 15:21

Have they got to the bottom of your HCG levels now fishers ?
So envious of those feeling movements, I'm 15 weeks today and nothing yet. Can't believe I have something the size of an orange in there and I really don't feel very different!

TeenieDeenie · 29/07/2015 15:54

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow Melon and am the same, not felt a thing... well except wind Blush ha ha

We are getting our new bed delivered this evening, going from a standard double to a king size, such a simple thing but really looking forward to a bit more extra room and a comfier mattress. Smile

My fatigue has really ramped up this past week or so, I literally can't keep my eyes open in the afternoons at work and am ready for bed by 7.30pm.

ValancyJane · 29/07/2015 16:29

miss Fingers crossed you're finally coming out the other side of all the sickness!

teenie and melon I'm similar, 14+5 today and nothing I could even pretend might potentially be a little movement in there! I just assume the baby's sleeping a lot like I am Smile

Just went nuts after weeks of uhming and aahing about it and ordered a tonne of maternity clothes off New Look, I'm not sure what the quality's like, but the styles seemed a bit more 'me' than other websites I looked at, lots of pretty dresses I can wear with leggings. I'm starting to run out of clothing options, which forced my hand a bit!

fishermanswife1 · 29/07/2015 16:51

Not yet melon. They haven't found a sneaky twin hiding in there, my placenta "looked normal' I.e. currently the right size and no tumours at 14 weeks" and harmony tests came back all really low. I have everyone foiled. Meeting consultant tomorrow though. Seems if they don't know what's causing it, I'll just be monitored closely and have more regular scans to make sure placenta stays normal and baby's growth continues with normal development. I hope I may just be weird. Sounds about right. But now been told by the 4th professional that they've never seen it that high. Boy do I feel special. Lol.

Dint blame you going for maternity clothes valancy we can only under top buttons for do long!

Joey0805 · 29/07/2015 16:56

There have been some really good maternity sales on actually - I stocked up at Isabella Oliver and Seraphine for work dresses and at Topshop for more home stuff.

I have also bought the most anti-sex thing ever - a maternity pillow. I sleep on my front and I shouldn't be for too much longer and apparently they are really good at helping keep us on our sides. We'll see!!! It arrives in a couple of days...

Haha no my job isn't glamorous at all - I work in finance! There is a LOT of travel and to nice places which is cool but mainly it's fly-sleep-meeting-fly and no chance to see anything of the places I'm in other than the hotel gym and restaurant. The air miles are a massive bonus though; DH and I have rattled through 1.5 million in the last year and a half flying all over the world for holidays - we figured we might as well use them before we had kids and would be doing shorter haul holidays for a while!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 29/07/2015 17:00

mrschatty I demand that you send me the remainder of your shortbread! Or at least give me the recipe. Need something to do with my mat leave before bambino appears!

fish I'm very intrigued by your weirdo placenta! I've always liked a bit of a mystery!

missmartin Glad to hear you're feeling well today. Long may this continue! Smile

Anyone know what the sizing is like for ASOS maternity stuff? Seen some nice jeans on there. Usually I'm a 12 but should I go for a 14 in anticipation of weight gain?

MissMartin10 · 29/07/2015 18:16

maybe i have no idea towards sizing on there but they do have some lovley stuff.
as its maternity and its made for us growing mums to be then i reckon that ur usual suze 12 will fit and will be strechy in the places we will need it Grin
well that break from sickness didn't last long but im greatful i got one.. now back to throwing up.. ahh well! Its all going to be worth it Smile

SleepyDragon · 29/07/2015 18:24

Hi ladies.

Just back from our 16wk scan.

No blood tests, no baby's heartbeat scan (gutted) but BP is up and only just on high threshold at 140/90 so now a high risk of Pre Eclampsia due to BP and BMI so have been given BP tablets as well as my Aspirin tablets.

Came home and burst into tears.

DH lovely, just cuddled me but I feel so upset.

mrschatty · 29/07/2015 18:33

joey I got one of them still keep rolling onto my back though arrrhh!!!

maybe so easy! Sieve plain flour into a big bowl around 150g add around 50g golden caster sugar then cut plain butter into cubes room temp start with around 100 worth rub it in to the flour sugar mixture until it binds- not binding? More butter! Then just before its all bound add a hood dollop vanilla essence roll it out to about 3cm thick cut with a sharp knife to shape I do rectangles if your fancy get a fork and do decorative holes all over it. then pop into pre heat oven on a baking tray for 18m then check should be firm but slightly springy when done seive normal casting sugar on top et voila! I'm doing black bun next think I miss my Scottish home

mrschatty · 29/07/2015 18:37

Oh no x-post sleepy!!!!! Flowers

mrschatty · 29/07/2015 18:38

I hope your ok will you get consultant checks now? Did they do any checks in baby?

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 29/07/2015 18:43

Oooh thanks mrschatty! Will have to make those very very soon (and taste test all of them, obviously!)

Brooke113 · 29/07/2015 18:47

I keep getting these weird cramps, I don't know whether to book an appointment or wait until I see mw for the first time next Tuesday. They feel like they're coming from inside my woman bits if you get me, I keep trying to ignore them, but get them.several times a day and have done for 2+ weeks now :(

SleepyDragon · 29/07/2015 18:47

Yes MrsChatty they've scheduled another consultant appointment at 24weeks and 4 further scans not inc my 20wk scan.

If my BP remains high (or doesn't drop below 140/90) then they'll need to talk to me about 'delivery options' which will be early induction or C section basically.

Didn't do any scans this time so no joy of hearing heartbeat or seeing bumble but no bloods either.

Only upside was no protein in urine.

tinyme135 · 29/07/2015 18:52

How are you all ladies?

I'm stuck in a&e as I banged my head and have a massive bruise there. They think I might have concussion (just my luck) I want to be at home with a nice cup of tea. I'm so tempted to go and say leave it ill get checked my by docs but I know he'll send me to a&e

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 29/07/2015 19:25

Hope you're ok tiny! Take care and have a cuppa when you get home Smile

mrschatty · 29/07/2015 19:45

Sleepy take care hun
tiny gosh hope your ok too!!!!

tinyme135 · 29/07/2015 19:48

I'm out now. Because there's no swelling or bleeding and I'm not bleeding down there or no cramps I'm free to go. I was pushed to the front cause of being 16 weeks gone didn't think it was fair on everyone else though.

Tonicandgin · 29/07/2015 20:02

Maybe - I've just received some maternity stuff from ASOS. Most of the clothes fit really well in normal sizes but I bought a maternity mac and needed the size down to fit my shoulders. I looked a bit like I was wearing someone else's clothes.

I didn't buy jeans though. A dress and 2 jackets.

Tonicandgin · 29/07/2015 20:03

Crikey Tiny, glad you're okay!
