Arrrrggghhh baby has decided to play games with me and produced 3 teeny little bits of spotting! Minute amount but still makes me wanna scream!! Had MW today and heard heartbeat but still will worry all bloody night!

Lookingforadvice123 · 28/07/2015 23:29

mrsfaz don't sorry, seriously. Has this happened to you before? I've had spotting twice, once at nearly 9 weeks and once at 16. It's so, so common, when I went to the GP at 16 weeks he said it happens to so many women and some get it on and off throughout. Weirdly mine happened when id only heard the heartbeat 3 days before so we were probably at a similar point, it will most likely be hormonal xx

Lookingforadvice123 · 28/07/2015 23:30

*worry not sorry!

coffeenut · 29/07/2015 00:40

nightfall welcome and I echo what the others have already said, what an amazing mum you are. I'm very glad you've decided to join us.

amy what a stressful time you've had, I hope you can relax now.

congrats jmac on team blue! I'm so excited about another team blue, I updated the stats for you when I did mine! Grin looking I couldnt see you anywhere - are you on the stats?

We brought our DDS to the 12 week scan, so that's when they found out missmartin. DD1 (5) is super excited, DD2 I think is too little to completely understand. That bit about the milk and tea made me laugh. My DD1 told announced very loudly in the supermarket the other day that I had a huge belly now and "ENORMOUS NIPPLES". Thanks.

I don't have a hairy belly though. Am I allowed to stay?

mrsfazruns · 29/07/2015 05:48

Thanks looking ... No spotting in this pregnancy but miscarried in December so super anxious!! I went for a run yesterday so think I might just have to hang my trainers up for now :-(

Haitch35 · 29/07/2015 08:28

jmac thanks for the link. I'm keen to try cloth nappies and have almost convinced DH but it's a bit overwhelming trying to work out what and how much we'll need of everything.

I can't wait to get to 20 weeks as we'll be finding out what team we're on at the scan, and halfway feels like a big milestone. I'm only 14+4 so it still seems like an awfully long time away. I don't have a proper bump yet, just look horribly bloated.

The nausea seems to be easing off now, except when I get too hungry. I don't know how those of you who've actually been sick have coped - you're all amazing! As for those of you still properly exercising, I am in complete awe. It was my first day of holiday yesterday and I slept pretty much the whole day, apart from getting up to eat. My go-to food for the last few weeks has been (veggie) bangers and mash with peas and gravy, or else baked potato with cheese. And anything salty to snack on. I'm hungry all the time, going to have to have breakfast no. 2 now I'm thinking about food again...

MissMartin10 · 29/07/2015 08:32

Haha coffee Enormous nipples! that made me l.o.l.. i would have died Grin
mrsfazruns hope your okay.. a bit of spotting should be fine though just have a exercise free day and rest up x

I've just woke up crying floods of tears from my very vivid happy but sad dream of seeing my grandpa who passed away last october.. now i can't stop! trying to think happy thoughts now for the baba.. ive read they feel the emotions you feel.

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/07/2015 09:02

mrsfaz hope you're ok this morning, I saw my GP both times it happened, and booked a private scan for the same day just to put my mind at rest (it's when we found out we're having a boy!). The GP also referred me to EPAU for a scan though so definitely worth doing just to put your mind at rest? He was very reassuring though, said his wife was pregnant around the same number of weeks as me, and that she's had similar. He said its very rare to miscarriage at this stage, and it would usually only be if the baby had a congenital abnormality (which are usually picked up at 12 week scan, for sure at the 20 week one).

Was the spotting red/pink/brown? If it's brown it's definitely "old blood" which maybe just got shook loose from your run.

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/07/2015 09:05

coffee I'm there, number 7 on the list Smile have just updated my stats to include my 20 week scan date and that I'm on team blue! Finally worked out how to do it Grin

dinosaurdaughter · 29/07/2015 09:15

Hi nightfall welcome, what an amazing mum you are.

amy congratualtions on your little girl, I hope you can relax now.

We haven't told our dd yet, was hoping to wait for the 20 week scan but I think we might have to say something soon as I'm sure she knows something is up. Loving everyone elses stories, the enormous nipples announcement was very funny!

Anyone else getting nose bleeds? I had a massive one this morning but apparently it is pretty common in the second trimester but I haven't experienced it before.

melonface · 29/07/2015 09:24

No nose bleed here its just blocked up! Feel like it's the middle of winter with this cold I've got. Think the dreaded UTI is back again so off to the GP later.....

TeenieDeenie · 29/07/2015 09:32

Morning all!

Welcome nightfall Smile

mrsfaz sorry to hear about the spotting, I hope you managed to get some rest last night. If you have any more or need some extra reassurance then I would say see your GP.

Amy congrats on Team Pink, how lovely! I really hope the rest of your pregnancy is as stress free as it can be!

Kep how are you feeling today? Any better?

Pugmumlondon · 29/07/2015 10:17

Welcome nightfall and congrats to those who've just found out gender! Can't wait to find out mine!

Faz - so sorry you've had a scare. I had spotting at 7 weeks and was so scary, all fine now though. Definitely get an epu referral if you're worried though. Stress isn't good for the baby.

stupidgirl45 · 29/07/2015 10:32

Hi nightfall hope you're enjoying our little group :)

MrsFaz I spotted wks5-8 with my son and now he's a terrible toddler! It is so hard not to worry but spotting is common. Hopefully EPU can put your mind at rest.

MissMartin hope you feel much better soon - I found once I got to about 11weeks the nausea meant I'd not eaten enough, so I eat loads now!

Am 15wks today, off to see consultant later, hoping to persuade them to move me to low risk (I was last pregnancy) .... fingers crossed.

Baby is flapping around in there - getting some definite movement and prods about 5 times a day now - I think it rolled over yesterday, there was a big swooshy movement. Also when I bend over it's not happy. Oh! It's flapping/fluttering around now :)

For those on 1st babies, I felt my son from 13wks - so it is possible :)

I'm still feeling really low and anxious so just plodding on and hoping to cheer up soon

x

kep1979 · 29/07/2015 10:33

Welcome nightfall, hope you can keep up with all of our chatter Smile A friend of mine is due in December and she found out her baby has ds at about the same time as you did. She is amazing me with her strength, as are you. I hope the further scans you have will be positive.

And congrats on those finding out the sex - is Team Pink still winning?

mrsfaz I echo the others, when I had spotting at 8 weeks I panicked and got referred to epu for a scan - was reassuring and got to see Bean again Smile

AFM still very dizzy and feeling rough with it. If I keep perfectly still I'm not too bad but very inconvenient as we are completing on our new house today!!! Plus worried about being off work. But trying to chill out and relax. Will see midwife tomorrow and see what she suggests - may try to get in with private consultant I saw last time - if it's BPV rather than Labs then hopefully he can shift it. Else I just have to be patientHmm

Yokyil · 29/07/2015 11:04

melon I'm the same - all blocked up! Nose is stuff but still runny somehow!?!
Tummy v sore today - right along the left hand side, low down under bump. Really uncomfy and painy Sad

Yokyil · 29/07/2015 11:08

kep nothing worse than labyrinthitis and vertigo - makes you feel horrible! Hopefully they have a solution for you - good luck with the new home Smile

fishermanswife1 · 29/07/2015 11:16

Feeling for you Leo but good luck Sith the completion!

Welcome to the chatty bus nightfall. I hope we can offer a support and a place to air your thoughts. I know the group has already been so useful for me.

So cold and do tired today. Feel like I had a doze and woke up in November. Where did summer go? Got my 16wk MW app this pm. Trying to get some work done this morning but also feeling very anxious and stressed (combo of bean and work worry I think). Lovely DH keeps telling me to rest but then I just feel guilty when I do.

fishermanswife1 · 29/07/2015 11:18

Oh! And congrats to everyone finding out what colour team they're on. likrly to have scan at consultant appointment tomorrow. Will be 16+5 so want to ask. Anyone else finding out the sex but not telling anyone? That's what DH and I plan to do.

Joey0805 · 29/07/2015 11:41

17 weeks today and she is now longer than my iPhone! Amazing...

I am also still spinning, really loving it. I'll sit down for the whole thing when the bump gets in the way but no issues so far at all. I had to put my new maternity jeans on at the weekend, couldn't believe it but my normal ones we're so uncomfortable (and only did up if I basically wedgied myself which isn't a great look...).

In other news I have felt nothing whatsoever yet and food wise I'm eating totally as I did pre pregnancy just a bit less fish (makes me feel a bit gross more than a couple of times a week). Also I'm less keen on chocolate / sugar (except for fruit which I adore). I am quite tired still though - where the f is my energy burst??

My 16 week appt last week was v uneventful, didn't listen to the baby's heartbeat or weigh me, it was pretty much all about my epilepsy management actually rather than the baby!

Am now planning on starting mat leave 4th Jan (due 6th!). Was planning on taking over Xmas off usin annual leave but then we decided to use the holiday days to do a babymoon to Langkawi when I'm 30 weeks instead. Not sensible maybe but so much more fun!!! And I travel most weeks with work anyway the extra flying is no big deal. Off to Hong Kong for 2 days next week then Geneva and Italy the week after - no rest for the wicked! (The latter is a holiday though; Can.Not.Wait)

crumble74 · 29/07/2015 12:43

I can't keep up with you lot!!

coffee Your DD's comments made me laugh! Children, eh? My DS hasn't boob-fed for months, yet when we have a little cuddle he likes to give my pair an appraising look and a little squeeze. Babies notice everything!

Hope your spotting has gone now mrsfaz, it is probably the running!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok today?

crumble74 · 29/07/2015 12:46

Good luck with your consultant app tomorrow fisher, I hope your placenta has calmed down. Your DH is right, make sure you take time to rest. Brew

mrschatty · 29/07/2015 12:59

fisher good luck for today :)
mrsfaz that is normal and common but doesn't stop up worrying hope you ok

Still have some lovely but very sweet shortbread left if anyone is keen Grin

coffeenut · 29/07/2015 13:02

rest up fisher and don't feel bad about it especially if you are feeling tired - your body is very busy. We rent telling anyone in RL the sex either.

joey what do you do to travel so much for work? sounds very glamorous.

good luck with completion kep I hope you feel better soon.

fishermanswife1 · 29/07/2015 13:19

My God my last post was littered with rushed typos.

Thanks all. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be fine and bean will have grown nicely. Certainly feels like it.

I was wondering the same coffee. What do you do Joey? Sounds amazing. And totally impressed by your energy and as someone else said, in awe of all the ladies still exercising - probably more than I even did before pg! Nice dog walks and the occasional swim are my limit at the mo. Would love to do pg yoga but just so expensive!
