nightfall welcome and we're edd buddies :)

mrschatty · 28/07/2015 16:40

I'm about to bake MORE HOMEMADE SHORTBREAD mmmmmmm

jmac88 · 28/07/2015 17:08

Thanks missmartin will pass on your feedback. She is very funny and Frida is a lovely baby. Interestingly it appears we conceived very close to the day we first met her so she must have inspired us!

Just realised my anomoly scan is booked for when I am almost 24 weeks....I thought it was a 20 week scan. Does that seem unusual?????

hotcrossbun83 · 28/07/2015 17:29

That's late jmac I thought it was 20 weeks so if the worst happens there is time for more tests and consideration before 24 week cut off

MissMartin10 · 28/07/2015 18:02

Yeah I agree that is pretty late.. Can you call you mw to re-arrange? I agree with hotcross also it will be annoying to have to wait for an extra 4 weeks.. Boo!

melonface · 28/07/2015 18:03

mrschatty more shortbread? I'm on my way!

jmac88 · 28/07/2015 18:05

Yeah thanks hotcross and miss will definitely call to rearrange! Can't wait that long!

SleepyDragon · 28/07/2015 18:13

DH was upset that I had to throw my lunch away and didn't have anything else and made me promise to eat something when I got home before teatime.

So here I am knowing that sausage and mash (ugh) is only an hour away but eating cream crackers dipped into a jar of Nutella....

lilyb84 · 28/07/2015 18:15

Welcome nightfall and loving your positive outlook. Lots of baby-flavoured support here!

moonshine no hip pain but I've got lower back pain which hurts most of the time but is particularly bad after resting - I can barely walk to the bathroom most nights Confused Hoping some yoga will help which I'm starting this week (cheap group at work, not the pregnancy kind - as someone said earlier it's so pricey!!).

Ladies, I had the weirdest fluttery/bubbling feeling in my stomach earlier which was like nothing I've ever felt before. It made me feel a bit weird, almost dizzy, like with motion sickness. 99% sure it's gas, not baby (I'm only 14+4 and it's my first), but I got quite excited at the idea of feeling baby movements soon! Now I've got cramps which is fuelling my 1% hope that it wasn't just normal digestive functions... Smile

kep I hope you feel better soon, vertigo on top of pregnancy sounds horrible.

AmyFlame1986 · 28/07/2015 18:24

Hi all, so I have been awol yet again. We had our 12 week scan and while it was all fine my blood work came back and gave me a high risk of DS. Considering I am only 29 this was a massive shock. This was complicated by the fact that my DH has a genetic condition that baby has a 50/50 chance of inheriting that already.
It has all been very stressful and because the drs didn't know how the two conditions if baby had them both would interact we had were advised to have a CVS test. The CVS test wasn't as bad as I thought

Results came back today and baby hasnt got DS or any other chromosomal abnormality, we haven't tested for DH condition because in the grand scheme of thing it isn't too bad and DH leads a perfectly healthy life he has just had various operations. Baby may inherit that but we will deal with that if and when.

We have also found out baby is a little girl!
We have had a rough ride to date as I also have antigen e in my blood... Looking forward to getting on with being excited about being pregnant and browsing all things girly! X

SleepyDragon · 28/07/2015 18:25

lily we were discussing early flutters a while back but it may have been on the other thread....

I had what my DM thinks was the first fluttering of bumble moving around, it wasn't like anything ID ever had before. It was kind of tickly and fluttery, like the red plastic fish you get in cheap crackers that curl up and flip over!

I think I was around 14+2 at that point and this is my first so it may be your little bubba saying hello! Grin

lilyb84 · 28/07/2015 18:28

sleepy Ooh I hope so! Won't know until -if- I feel any more I guess Smile

lilyb84 · 28/07/2015 18:29

and amy sorry to hear you've had such a stressful time. Hope that now you've got those results through you can relax a bit again and enjoy the pregnancy.

AmyFlame1986 · 28/07/2015 18:34

Thanks lily I'm looking forward to not being stressed, sleeping and not trying to hide the fact I am pregnant because I was scared.

nightfall I think you are amazing. You little ones are very lucky to have you!

melonface · 28/07/2015 18:38

Amy sorry you've had a rough time and glad your baby girl is doing ok Flowers

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 28/07/2015 19:03

16 weeks today!

Is anyone good with spreadsheets and could update for me? I'm useless! my stats are now EDD 12th Jan, 20 week scan on 28th August.

I thought I was firmly in team yellow but since feeling (what I hope is) fluttering, I'm more and more open to finding out what 'it' is. I really don't know whether we should find out at the anomaly scan or not! There are so many lovely baby clothes out there, but I'm struggling with just looking at the neutral ones!

Parents visited my sister while I was at work and she's given the bambino loads of her neutral clothes that she had for my niece so that has saved a lot of shopping!

lilyb84 · 28/07/2015 19:37

Updated, maybe Smile

My DH has bought Roquefort and gone off to work and now it's just sitting in the fridge taunting me...

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 28/07/2015 19:50

Ah thanks lily. The only time I knew what I was doing with a spreadsheet was about 10 years ago! Blush

lutrinae · 28/07/2015 19:51

That's just mean lily!
I was naughty and had eggs benedict today. What's the point of egg if it's not runny?

Could well be baby movements, Most accurate descriptions I've heard is like a goldfish in a plastic bag from the fair or bubbles popping.

mrschatty · 28/07/2015 20:16

amy sorry to hear about your worrying time glad to hear you can enjoy your pregnancy now!!!

MissMartin10 · 28/07/2015 20:22

mrschatty any short bread left?

Amy congrats on the baby girl Smile .. Sorry you've had such a tough time, I'm glad everything is okay x

AmyFlame1986 · 28/07/2015 20:45

Thanks mrschatty and MissMartin although missmartin you seem to be having an awful time just in a different way. Are you starting to feel better. My friend is 18 weeks pregnant and is only starting to feel better now.

So excited to be having a little girl. Am making DH Google how to style girls hair. He is not enjoying it.

Pugmumlondon · 28/07/2015 22:56

Someone please explain why I was just ironing DH's shirt. At 5 to 11?! Angry

MissMartin10 · 28/07/2015 23:01

pug oh goodness! you must be mad Haha Grin

amy i still feel horrible every single day but not bad enough to actually take the tablets the dr gave me as im anti-tablets..well im 14+4 now so hopefully it will go soon.. but I've been saying this since i was 8 weeks lol

MissMartin10 · 28/07/2015 23:03
