Not started a new thread before, so I'll give it a go....

thanks all for birthday wishes and happy birthday for tomorrow London

my nausea has disappeared today Confused I know I should be thankful for a day off but I'm slightly panicking its a bad sign. fingers crossed. I still feel tired and yucky but after two days of awfulness I'm really feeling the contrast from feeling awful to suddenly feeling OK.... not much I can do but wait and see I guess but trying not to get too worked up over it Hmm

Poppins27 · 02/08/2015 16:36

Good afternoon all, not a lot to report but thought I'd check in again.

Been feeling ok until today, yeah as the exhaustion and slight nausea but my word I feel grim today!! First morning praying to the porcelain throne. Stupidly tried being a mum and partner yesterday and rustled up a roast chicken....now the smell has clung to EVERY-DAMN-THING in my house!! Making me heave!! Bleurgh!!

Suppose it's promising symptom wise but ultra debilitating!! Last time I was pregnant this stayed with me until 20+ weeks...praying it disappears before the this time!!

8+3 today...or 7+3 by scan dates...totally confused by what to go by now?! Still waiting for my booking an appt etc.

Indomitable · 02/08/2015 17:02

Me too marmite. Keep doing the boob-prod to make sure they're still sore.

They are.

No use worrying. I'm not paying for an early scan. Whatever will be, will be. It'll just be a bugger to find out in 6 weeks time if it doesn't become obvious before then.

I keep telling myself that I bought those vitamins with ginger, which has been shown to be as effective as B6. And all pregnancies are different.

julesldn · 02/08/2015 17:25

Marmite and indomitable - I also had a few random days where I felt absolutely fine! The following day would always start with legging it to the bathroom though so I wouldn't worry so much - all hormone levels increase and decrease for many reasons so doubt it's a 'sign' xxx

Excited for everyone's scans to start happening although is it possible to see pics on the app? My phone doesn't seem to want to see anything!

dobbythedoggy · 02/08/2015 19:56

Had a horriable day yesterday totally exhausted and everything making me feel so sick, I could hardly face food. Took a morning dose of the anti sickness meds today and have felt much better, pretty much functional.

Found that my midwfie has posted lots of information on vbac which was an intresting read. Actually quite excited to disscuss opptions at the vbac clinic now. She thinks they'll give me an appointment around 20 weeks.

Have an awful bruise from bloods I had taken on thursday. Don't remember having anything like it before, so wondering if it might come back as me being anemic. Dd keeps giving it big kisses better.

Need to find the motivation to get her into town this week. She's had a growth spurt, grown out of loads of her clothes (luckly been given a big bag of hand me downs) and shoes. Really need to go and get her feet measured. A trip we'd usually do a few times a week, walking with the pushchair both ways feels like planning a massive expaditions. Just wondering how long it will take to get to the bus stop down the road!

shieldbug · 02/08/2015 20:04

Still feeling grim here. My parents are visiting soon, so I need to rustle up the energy for a deep clean this week. aaargh!

Happy birthdays marmite and london.

Aufwiedersehn Are you as ancient as me (42?) or am I still the geriatric around here?

lilmisshopeful · 02/08/2015 20:15

Sorry I am just so behind on the thread. Feeling so dreadful and really not quite with the world as a result. Am spending most of my time lying on the sofa or in bed...so tired and sicky.

Hey ho. Counting days till 12 week scan and at least then I can tell people why I'm being such a pain in the backside!

Happy birthdays marmite and london. Sorry I've not caught up on everyone else's news. Will try to later. Need to muster the energy for a bit of housework now to get things vaguely under control for the week ahead.

BeautifulLiar · 03/08/2015 08:36

Happy birthday marmite and london!

maybebabybee · 03/08/2015 08:39

happy birthday to all those having birthdays today :)

went on an hour long car journey yesterday. Thought 'oh hey, my nausea isn't really here today'. 5 minutes in the car and I felt horrendously sick. Was awful. I get travel sick anyway but not usually when I'm sitting in the front with the window open on the motorway.

It was horrendous. I wasn't actually sick but that was worse to be honest - I think I might have felt a bit better if I'd actually vommed!

Londonlady2015 · 03/08/2015 09:45

Thanks for birthday wishes all. Being low key so luckily don't have to make excuses for not drinking!!

Woke up at 4am today aargh. Tried to get back to sleep but had that horrid empty stomach feeling that I couldn't ignore so had toast. Luckily fell back asleep. Not actually feeling sick yet (5 weeks 4 days) am surprised as I'm quite a pukey person!

V v occasional pelvic aches continue.

Have a good week all

Indomitable · 03/08/2015 10:27

Happy birthday London & Marmite!

I was thinking about that London. I keep thinking "eat, sleep, wee, repeat" but it's more like eat, try to sleep but have to wee, try to sleep but realise you're starving, back to bed but then you need another wee, ad infinitum.

Me624 · 03/08/2015 10:33

My cold is horrific, can hardly breathe I am so bunged up. I've dragged myself into work regardless as I usually feel worse if I mope around at home feeling sorry for myself,

DH is being a star bless him, I have been so grumpy Angry

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 03/08/2015 10:49

Good morning and happy birthdays to the birthday folk!

I am feeling distinctly rotten. Why do I always end up timing pregnancies so that I end up with morning sickness during my summer hols? No energy to entertain the DC so I have popped them in the garden with a tent, which is keeping them entertained (for now.)

QforCucumber · 03/08/2015 11:00

Indomitable that's a familiar sequence here too,

couldn't sleep as was hungry last night, being hungry makes me feel sick - went downstairs to realise big food shop arrives today damn it, settled for a chunk of cathedral city and a bigger chunk of cucumber. best food I've ever eaten haha.

Woke up at 5am desperate for a wee, got up and boobs were agony just walking to the bathroom - sleeping in a bra from now on.

Booking in appt tomorrow, 8 weeks exactly today. getting excited but nervous now. Just want to get past the 9 week mark as didn't make it that far last time.

JoannaZZ · 03/08/2015 11:07

Qfor, those are my favourite foods at the moment, Cathedral City and cucumber!! Mmmm might have some now before I get hungry enough to feel sick again. Hope you get your food shop today :)

maybebabybee · 03/08/2015 11:55

trying to do an online food shop and finding it impossible as I literally don't fancy eating anything at all. Nothing appeals. Is anyone else having this issue?

I can't ask DH to do it as he has nothing whatsoever to do with food in our house. I do all cooking and all food shopping as I love it (when not up the duff anyway!) and he does all the housework pretty much as I hate cleaning.

julesldn · 03/08/2015 12:01

Maybe - im the same! Got DP to pick stuff up for dinner yesterday. He asked me what I wanted and all I could think of was pizza (even though I didn't really fancy it tbh) because that's all I've been eating! Got to order some food today and feel bad just ordering crap and nothing healthy for DP :S

Also had non stop vivid dreams last night! They're so odd!!!

maybebabybee · 03/08/2015 12:03

Jules pizza is honestly one of the only things I can think about eating and not think 'gross' although I still don't really 'want' it IYSWIM.

Pasta I can get on board with too, but I can't just have pasta for the next four weeks!

I seriously hope this abates in the second trimester otherwise I am going to be about 20 stone. I've already put on about half a stone and I'm only 8 weeks ffs :S

BeautifulLiar · 03/08/2015 12:05

me I've had a bad cold for about a week now and haven't been able to breathe. The ONLY silver lining is that I can't really smell anything so have been puking less than normal.

I don't know why I get morning sickness so bad as I'm NEVER sick when non-pregnant. So annoying!

Definitely having issues with the online food shop. I knew it would happen so made a list before I got pregnant and I just re order that every week. Rarely want to eat the stuff though...

BeautifulLiar · 03/08/2015 12:07

DH and I made a pact that if I got pregnant again he'd go out every night and buy tea (he couldn't drive last time). But now he's working away all summer so that plan's out rhe window!! Ugh.

MyNameIsSuz · 03/08/2015 12:57

I'm having that problem maybe, I can't face cooking either so dh is cooking every night. I could probably exist off cheesy pasta for dinners. It's breakfast and lunch I'm having the most trouble with, realised today that I fancied rubbish cereal, two happy bowls of cinnamon grahams for lunch Smile

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 03/08/2015 13:01

shield no, you're ahead of me! breathes sigh of relief :)

maybebabybee · 03/08/2015 13:29

mynameissuz can't face cooking either, so upsetting to me as it was a genuine joy in my life before!

DH can hardly make toast so he can do diddly squat.

julesldn · 03/08/2015 14:10

Maybe - yes, that's me exactly as well!! Also eating filled pasta - DP persuaded me to put some tomato sauce on it the other day too as opposed to just butter. Really felt like I was taking a step forward into normality haha.

I'm also gaining weight quickly too. Went shopping for holiday clothes on sat and I'm already a size up. SO DEPRESSING!!!!

MyNameIsSuz · 03/08/2015 14:21

Ahh maybe I'm lucky, at least mine can cook.

I think a lot of the weight gain will be bloating, it'll even out!
