Not started a new thread before, so I'll give it a go....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
julesldn · 24/07/2015 01:38

Lilmiss - yes I'm in south London atm, vauxhall. Whereabouts are you?

I'm also struggling with the hunger/sickness balance! Luckily I'm self employed so I could schedule a snack break every hour in between clients but struggling to stomach things that aren't comfort food so lots of s&v crisps (squares especially mmm...) and pizza and pasta and mash etc. Oops!

I'm hoping for a home birth too so glad lots of others are as well! Dp not convinced and thinks it's a bit odd but I hate hospitals and the idea of being pushed into drugs I don't really want isn't nice. Plus, the fact that you may not get a birthing pool - Id be really upset if that happened! So I'm slowly grinding him down until he agrees that my idea is best, as usual Wink

lilmisshopeful · 24/07/2015 05:23

Uurrrgghh nausea really sucks. Feel so grim. In bed quietly trying to eat a pack of s+v crisps to ease it. I did try a banana first for a healthier option but no effect.

Jules I'm crystal palace way. Well actually South Norwood but people often don't know where that is! Is Tommy's your nearest hospital? Not too bad a plan b if the home birth doesn't work out (obv fingers crossed it does!). A couple of friends had babies there in the rooms overlooking Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster. Pretty amazing first photos!

I wanted a home birth first time but DH was really not keen. And in the end it was pretty much vetoed (in a 'it's your decision but I must strongly advise against' way) by obstetrician because my platelet levels were low and kept dropping as d day approached. And omg my hospital experience was soooo far from a relaxing home-from-home set up as you could possibly imagine! But that's another story :-)

Morning all!

maybebabybee · 24/07/2015 06:17

I'm still not having traditional nausea but still did random dry heaves when making myself a cup of tea this morning, God knows why as I didn't even feel sick really :s

Rosieblossom123 · 24/07/2015 06:19

Morning ladies

I'm off work now for 10 days on holiday then it's my booking app on the 3rd so exciting!!

Really feel sorry for myself crying because I'm giving my two cats to mum for a week as I'm away! Everything makes me emotional :( arghh they also know something's up they keep sleeping on my belly all the time ... Weird!!

missnatalie · 24/07/2015 07:00

Morning all. Hope that you are all doing well.
My sickness has gotten the best of me today and I ended up puking in the super market. Was so embarrassed Blush. I worked it out last night and I am roughly 7 + 1. I'm hopefully getting my dating scan next week so will know for sure then. My last baby is 4.5 now and I feel lost like I've forgotten everything. Speaking of forgetting. Has anyone else got pregnancy brain already? I'm forgetting things. TV remotes in fridge, mobile phone in bathroom cabinet. Don't remember being this clumsy last time lol Confused

Indomitable · 24/07/2015 08:21

Oh no missnatalie! Hope you feel better soon.

I've been pretty symptom free so far. I'd even had that worry about how well I felt. But I've been having a lush afternoon nap for a week.

But I missed the nap on Wednesday. Yesterday I felt a bit rubbish. By the evening, and a second missed nap I started to feel sick! (I'm 5wks today, didn't get nausea till after 6wks last time). So moral of this story is the I will sleep as much as is humanly possible! (And have told DH this). Fortunately we're all on summer hols.

marmitemofo · 24/07/2015 08:43

enjoy it while it lasts indomitable Smile I had no symptoms until 6 weeks, now at 6+5 I feel awful. sick and starving. I woke up this morning thinking I can't cope with life at the moment! and I still have another 9 weeks or so of this Confused

on the plus side, I realised that because my predicted due date going by ov is 5 days later than going by LMP, I might get my scan a tiny bit earlier. it's not much but trying to look on the bright side!

BeautifulLiar · 24/07/2015 09:21

Same here marmite re dates. I think the midwives will go by your LMP as you can be sure of that but can't, apparently, be sure of when you ovulated.

I keep crying Sad

Herewegoagain31 · 24/07/2015 10:05

I'm another one who felt pretty fine until 6 weeks and have felt awful from then onwards - so definitely enjoy it while you can if not at the 6-7 week stage yet! This week is the worst so far, I'm 8+6 today and I cried last night I just could not face the thought of eating anything for supper but I knew I had to and I'm so fed up of feeling sick and energy-less all the time. Why does time go so slowly these 12 weeks??! I am counting every day down as one day closer to feeling hopefully normal again and it just seems to be taking forever. I can't remember not feeling rubbish! Sorry - I'm a proper moaner this morning, I'll stop now!

Mrsrsw · 24/07/2015 10:21

I've got a referral to the EPU, so at least now I'll get an idea of what's happening. I'm fearing the worst though as I don't "feel" pregnant anymore.

Got everything crossed for a happy ending, dreading this scan.

Herewegoagain31 · 24/07/2015 10:26

Fingers crossed for you mrs - will you be scanned today?

lilmisshopeful · 24/07/2015 10:41

Just out from our scan and all looks as it should. Strong hb and measuring right for dates. I burst into tears as soon as the sonographer asked if we wanted a photo. Most of my memories of these early scans are sad so it was such a relief to get good news

lilmisshopeful · 24/07/2015 10:42

mrs it's great you got the referral. Thinking of you and sending best positive wishes x

missnatalie · 24/07/2015 10:45

fingers crossed [mrs] whenever I've been to the EPUthey always take bloods and scan. Fingers crossed that your bean is a happy sticky one that's just being a naughty bugger x

camembertlovernomore · 24/07/2015 10:49

Am I too late to join? My stats are: 4+2 EDD 25 March 2016 - ov'd on 3 July - super excited! Today I started my morning by throwing up then snacking on nuts and crackers - my boobs are a bit sore and having a bit of cramping but it is easing off - so excited this is my first pregnancy!

camembertlovernomore · 24/07/2015 10:50

also wanted to ask - does anyone know how early I can book into a private early scan for? google comes back with 7wks - can you see a heartbeat at that stage? TIA Smile

Mrsrsw · 24/07/2015 10:52

Yep, scan this afternoon which is good.

Mrsrsw · 24/07/2015 10:53

Lilmisshopefull that sounds great! Xx

Indomitable · 24/07/2015 10:56

Oh no, beautiful and herewego. I remember the despair at feeling so utterly awful. Sleep if you can. Put the kids in front of a film and snooze on the sofa?

Camembert I saw your POAS thread! I've got EDD of 25th March too, but I'm 5 weeks today. (I don't think I could be earlier as I got a BFP at 12DPO).

camembertlovernomore · 24/07/2015 11:04

Indomitable ooh we have the same date - yeay! I am so excited but trying to keep myself in check DH and I haven't told a soul but it is soooo hard to keep it secret. I had a family dinner last night with lots of wine and was hard to keep saying I'm coming down with a cold so I don't fancy drinking - not sure they bought it much knowing how much I usually like my wine Grin just want to get to 12 wks out of the way then I can stop fretting about every twinge or ache

missnatalie · 24/07/2015 11:05

Can someone please help me work out my due date. I know 100% that the bean was conceived on 17th June and I was due to ovulate on the 18th (according to my period tracker). How do I work out my due date from that? Confused

Kittykitty05 · 24/07/2015 11:09

camembert I'd wait till 8 weeks. I've had scan where hb is visible at 6 weeks but bubs literally looks like a blob. 7 weeks it'll look like a bean, but by 8 weeks you can start to discern baby shape! Reassurance scans after losses start at 8 weeks, my consultant won't do it before then as there is a risk of not seeing a heartbeat when baby is actual fine and causing unnecessary distress. Hope that helps x

OP posts:
camembertlovernomore · 24/07/2015 11:16

thank you KittyKitty05 I will wait until 8wks then :)

julesldn · 24/07/2015 13:08

Maybe - im also randomly dry heaving now. Stopped bothering even going to the loo - so gross!

Lilmiss - Ahh you're not too far from us then! Yeah I'm registered at st. Thomas' but think we'll end up moving a few months before due date - anyone had any experience of transferring hospitals during pregnancy??

Glad to hear those having early scans are going well!! Smile

Bring on the weekend ladies!!!!! Xx

maybebabybee · 24/07/2015 13:10

I've lost my acidic feeling in the tummy and constant starving hungry feeling today. And I'm not so turned off by food.

Really worried this is a bad sign :S anyone else had experience with disappearing symptoms? My only other pg symptom is sore boobs, which I still have. And fatigue, but I have trouble seeing that as a pg symptom to be honest, as I'm always tired!
