Hi louwn!

That CBdigi result is a good-un!

lilmisshopeful · 23/07/2015 18:25

Welcome louwn and congrats on your bfp :-)

lilmisshopeful · 23/07/2015 18:27

beautifulliar I'm also grazing like mad. Eating all sorts of rubbish. Going to have this for dinner: deliciouslyella.com/turmeric-and-lentil-soup/

The recipe showed up on my FB feed and it was the first vaguely healthy thing I've craved in weeks so thought I should embrace the moment. Making it now. Making dd sausage pasta at the same time-there's no chance she'd eat carrot and lentil soup!

Rosieblossom123 · 23/07/2015 18:33

lilmisshopeful I know its easier said than done but don't worry hun, we are extra cautious because we know the feeling of loosing the baby so early. What you need to do is look after yourself, try not to worry and see what happens in the morning. Keep us updated and I'm sure it'll be good news. Praying for you hun!

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 23/07/2015 18:39

Found you all! This thread moves fast! My stats are 30, #2, edd 11th March, am 7 weeks tomorrow.
I keep alternating between feeling really hungry and feeling a bit nauseous...trying not to binge too much though as am a bit overweight- never really lost the baby weight from first time around, and just know the midwife will have something to say....so trying to keep it healthy(ish) Confused

QforCucumber · 23/07/2015 18:52

I had fajhitas without the wraps just picked at a bowlful of the filling topped with some grated cheese, sour cream and guacamole Smile
if anyone is at a loose end and would like to spend the evening beating up my dp id be more than grateful - apparently I can't be exhausted because 6 weeks is barely even pregnant! Angry

Celen · 23/07/2015 18:58

Men can be buttheads at times = fact Grin

Just retaliate by boring the crap out of him about what exactly is going on in your body while baby grows etc. Grin

Mrsrsw · 23/07/2015 19:02

Feeling crappy tonight. I've had some brown discharge like the kind at the end of a period. Obviously doctors is closed now so will have to call in the morning. It's going to be a long night!

marmitemofo · 23/07/2015 19:21

welcome louwn and congrats! Grin

good luck with the scan tomorrow lilmiss. also that soup looks yummy! I've pinned it (I have an obsession with recipe hoarding on pinterest) and may try it out tomorrow. I had a lazy dinner of vege sausages, mash and peas. I had some boursin to use up though so made super garlicy mash! thought my stomach wouldn't have been able to handle it so gave myself not much and more to DP and DD - regretted that decision quite quickly!

My DP is being quite understanding about my general knackeredness and taking over a lot of the care of DD. I think it's coz a) he is going away for a week on Saturday and feels guilty and b) last time when I was pregnant with DD he was pretty unsympathetic and I moaned about it a lot afterwards so he is trying to make an effort. who knows how long his patience will last but I'm going to take advantage of it whilst I can!

mrs I know it's easy for me to say this but try not to stress. brown = old blood so is far less likely to be an issue. my DP's SIL had spotting in early pregnancy, had an early scan and all was fine, she's 31 weeks now. FX for you.

lilmisshopeful · 23/07/2015 19:39

Thanks marmite. We're crossing fingers and toes here too.

Just having a bowl of the soup and I can confirm it is delish. Feel all wholesome for eating it after all the Nutella indulgence this morning.

mrs listen to marmite her words are v wise. Try not to fret x

Celen · 23/07/2015 19:53

mrs my sister had bleeding during her first pregnancy and that baby is now an obnoxious 19 year old Wink

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 23/07/2015 19:54

Yay treehousethunderstorm another from the north west! We bought up here in February and so far enjoying it although I go to a lot of groups with my DD in Chester still as thats where we were renting when she was born last year! We shall be delivering at Arrowe Park too, I've not seen the maternity unit yet but I've heard good things and the leaflet is rather good! My husband was sold when there was a little video about the Liverpool Footballer's wives giving birth there stating 'if its good enough for them, its good enough for us' Hmm

We had Asda filled pasta and a bolognase sauce for tea, quick and easy. I really enjoyed it, which was a change as tea is usually when I struggle to eat. I've taken it really easy today and I must say I feel better for it!

Celen · 23/07/2015 19:55

Oops didn't mean to post so soon.

I don't mean to sound glib at all, it must be very worrying and none of our words will help alleviate that worry but bleeding can happen during perfectly healthy pregnancies. Hope you get an apt tomorrow to ease your fear x

purplesnail · 23/07/2015 20:37

Hi, can I join, my stats are 34 #2 EDD 5th march, 7 +5weeks
I'm feeling really sick most of the time, struggling to eat much and really finding it hard to cook anything, just picked at some salmon and green beans for tea then had a chocolate spread and marshmallow fluff sandwich which was very naughty.

Paperblank · 23/07/2015 20:56

Hello purplesnail Grin cool name!

I am feeling very sorry for myself. I have "done" something and have a very very sore back. The Dr said I've twinged a nerve because I've got a pain in my bum and down the back of my thigh.

The pain made me cry twice today and I am super snappy Sad

Lying here with a hot water bottle on my back and munching a freddo - gah!

dobbythedoggy · 23/07/2015 21:04

Relieved to say I think the anti sickness meds are working. My stomach still doesn't feel right, the only way I can describe it is it feels like I've been eatting gravel, but it's way better than the releantless sickness. Trying to make sure I eat every couple of hours to avoid getting hungry; just dreading feeling that sick again! Actually been able to hug dd away, without having to push away to be sick, it's made me rather weapy. Also has the added advantage of the nesting sea guls we're surrounded by aren't waking me every couple of hours, I just sleep very heavily.

Scarily, my dad is already talking birth plans with me. I had a c-section with dd. Although not a medic his very medically minded and is already researching vbacs and multipul c-sections. He'll be well armed with pros and cons when I get to that stage of thinking.

mrs I know it's really hard but do try to get some rest tonight. I know nothing can really reasure you at the moment, not until you can see medical proffessionals. But a couple of weeks ago I had similar brown spotting/dishcharge, just like the end of a period, got the all clear from epau and touch wood still all fine. It might sound strange but will mention incase it helps you, randomly found lying a pillow across my hips was somewhat reasuring. Hope you get seen quickly tomorrow.

LaraNotCroft22 · 23/07/2015 21:08

Mrsrsw- sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish, fingers crossed it's all ok when you get to check tomorrow, you could maybe call the nhs helpline if you think that may be reassuring?

Lying on my sofa feeling sorry for myself, can't be arsed to cook anything but haven't eaten and dh is painting the kitchen.

Had a scan yesterday and all was well, measuring 8+5 but think I'm a couple of days less than that.

Our bus must be nearly full! Is there an April bus yet? It can't be far off!!

Kittykitty05 · 23/07/2015 21:20

Had bbq tonight with my best friend and another good friend. So when I turn down wine, my bf gave me a knowing look, then promptly arranged to take me out next Friday for a 'better catch up'. So much for telling no one till harmony results back. I shouldn't be surprised, she knows me so well and has helped me through 3 unsuccessful and 1 successful pregnancy over the last 11 years!

OP posts:
Mrsrsw · 23/07/2015 21:30

Thanks everyone, I've calmed down a bit as there's been no more since I posted (been frantically knicker checking all evening!)

Mrsrsw · 23/07/2015 21:31

Plan is to call docs first thing and see if I can get a referral for my own sanity. I'd already booked a private scan next weds but with this I'm now desperate to know all is ok. We go away next Friday too, only Ireland so not too bad!

lilmisshopeful · 23/07/2015 21:34

Hope you can get a referral mrs. The worry is so tough in these situations but as others have said try to rest and look after yourself x

Missdee2014 · 23/07/2015 21:57

I'm too tired to read the latest on the thread tonight. But from skim reading I see some have bleeding today. I bled for 16 weeks with dd2 and she's now a happy, healthy 8 and a half year old Grin Fingers crossed for you that it's nothing to worry about.

JoannaZZ · 23/07/2015 22:16

Glad to hear I'm not the only one eating all the time, about once an hour I go from feeling really full and slightly nauseous to absolutely starving (as in I can't even wait for the toaster to finish toasting). I've completely gone off sweets and chocolate though. Shock Been grazing on fruits, veg, yoghurt, pancakes, pasta and ham on toast. I bet these healthy cravings are just temporary though!

I had no idea there were so many options about how to give birth! I thought you just go to the hospital when it's time, and they tell you what to do/when to push... It's still early days though, I'll look into these things in a few months.

Pannacott · 23/07/2015 22:26

Thanks for the welcomes :) Mrs I hope you get seen quickly and get some reassurance. Brown blood is not a sign of a problem usually, its red blood with pain which is more ominous.
I wanted a home birth with my first but then my blood pressure was increasing and they wanted to induce, at which point I thought 'this isn't the low-intervention, low risk birth I wanted' and decided to go for a hospital birth. I didn't want a chemical induction so they gave me a sweep Friday morning, then I went to work, early labour all day, contractions all night, went to hospital the next day Saturday. All was going well (hypnobirthing, visualisations, TENS machine) and then it wasn't :( I ended up with a crash general anesthesia cesarean, inverse T cut, she was undiagnosed breech, placental abruption, lost loads of blood, four transfusions, my baby had undiagnosed IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction). She weighed 3lbs 9. So I'm back to hospital for a planned caesarean this time! Firstimers please don't worry, this is fairly unusual.

purplesnail · 23/07/2015 22:48

Hi paperblank, I have some siatica pain down my leg too although I get it every now and then anyway. Rest up and look at seeing an oesteopath which will help lots, one experienced with pregnancy will be good but you might need to wait until you are 12 weeks depending on the policy they have.
