Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

bat I think some days they go a bit crazy! As far as I'm aware all movement is good news - though maybe not for your ribs and bladder Smile

Morning everyone. DS is at his GPs and I still can't lie in waaaaaaaah.

I'm really curious to know - wtf is an Epi-No...?

ThursdayLast · 12/07/2015 07:28

Oh and also Zylar eeeeeeeeek indeed.

DulcetMoans · 12/07/2015 07:36

Could just be post ironing itself bat, or you could have had something to eat or drink that it hates/loves. Some days they do just go a but mental!

So keen to put things up the foof la, we are meant to be pushing things out!

Welcome back niff! What is a Singapore hospital like then? Did they take good care of you?

Has she had it ga?!

Urgh... Baaaad sleep last night. Hot and so uncomfortable and cat kept wanting a cuddle with my face. Woken up achey and in a grump.

Wow niff, pretty exciting though! I did love Bangkok though I guess if you're looking at it from a mummy's perspective there would be a lot to get your head around!

Glad you had a good weekend away bat. Sorry about the wine. What was it? I do miss a glass of wine on a sunny evening.

CarrotPuff · 12/07/2015 07:41

Marking my place. Nice title Dulcet!

I hate first trimester. Bleurgh, just bleurgh...

jellypi3 · 12/07/2015 08:02

Yay new fred :) Thanks dulcet :)

Zyla how exciting :D this could be the start of the circle of viroids!

Thanks for the advice all. I haven't mentioned it to DP yet, I fell asleep at 8:00pm last night and he didn't get in until 8:15 Blush I'll hopefully talk to him about it today. And yeah indigo my scan was at 10+3.

Last few nights i've been getting pounding headaches, is this a pregnancy thing?

Welcome molly :)

honeysucklejasmine · 12/07/2015 08:09

Niff! Welcome back! Sounds ds just like the Bangkok I remember. I think the moto should be "look where you're walking!" As the pavements are all do uneven.

Indigoblue2 · 12/07/2015 08:20

Welcome back bat and niff!

dulcet I dreamed you had your baby last night Shock No joke. We were all living in a giant hostel type thing, all the grads, it was a bit like a school. Think this may have been inspired by me reading the Ina May Gaskin book about The Farm... Anyway dulcet, you're next I bet.

la the Epi-No has two main functions, training the pelvic floor and stretching the perineum. I suppose you could use it as a sex toy if you were so inclined. When you inflate it to "ooh that's stingy" point, it actually blows up like a lightbulb shape, so there's an even wider point further inside you. When you have done 10-15 mins of stretching you "birth" it out whole which simulates crowning.

LaLaLaaaa · 12/07/2015 08:23

Indigo - ow! That sounds sore!

Niff welcome back!

Bit low today - very very tired, can't sleep at all due to hips and pressure of the bump, just want it out now :(

oneyorkshirepud · 12/07/2015 08:30

Ahh, sorry you fully baked Viroids are struggling, come on babies, time to make an entrance!

Yeah Carrot, first tri is a bit pants. Are you feeling sick? Sympathies.

We just dtd. It has been a while. Happy Mr and Mrs Pud Grin

Indigoblue2 · 12/07/2015 08:36

You are meant to inflate it till you feel a bit of burning/stretching but it shouldn't be painful, just a bit uncomfortable. You just pump the balloon up in little amounts so it's easy to not over do it!

ThursdayLast · 12/07/2015 08:45

Jeeeeez, that sounds like some kind of torture! Don't pregnant viroids have enough tube desling with???

ThursdayLast · 12/07/2015 08:46

*to be dealing with

RPopz · 12/07/2015 09:34

What is it actually stretching indigo? The foof?

Nessalina · 12/07/2015 09:52

Owchy Shock One foof stretching was enough for me!
I'm hanging about until there's some babies arrived! Grin

Indigoblue2 · 12/07/2015 09:53

thursday its not that bad!! They've been shown to reduce tearing and episiotomy rates. They are recommended by midwives in a lot of other countries inc Australia. The lady who distributes them in the UK has told me two hospitals in London have consultants who are recommending them. They've also been shown to reduce the length of second stage labour. She said to me "would you rather do the splits in one go or practise over several weeks?!". It's really not that bad because the stretching is gradual!!

popz stretching vaginal tissue and perineum, it only goes in about 2 inches max so not involving your cervix.

pretzelpieces · 12/07/2015 10:00

carrot amen to that. First tri is rubbishhh.

I've had a LOT less sickness the last two days and seems like today as well. Obviously I'm glad because I had reached breaking point with it really, but I'm also wondering if it weird for symptoms to suddenly vanish like that (although it may well come back). I'm 11 weeks tomorrow.

ThursdayLast · 12/07/2015 10:01

Yes, I suppose I can see the logic indigo!
I don't plan on going down that route so ill think I'll give it a miss all the same Smile

ThursdayLast · 12/07/2015 10:03

pretzel I believe it's your placenta kicking in and taking over growing duties - I think it's perfectly normal for around 11weeks Smile

Indigoblue2 · 12/07/2015 10:04

prezel think the exact same thing happened to la

Niffertiti · 12/07/2015 10:07

Well, no babies yet, but BIG HOORAH for all the BFPs! Good to see you all over here, lots of names I recognise! Sorry the belly dwellers are outstaying their welcome though la dulcet and Fleur. I'm sure this week will be action packed though...

Epic catch up so I'm not going to attempt to comment on everything from the last week except to say that clearly a saveloy and a battered sausage are not the same thing. A saveloy is a disgusting red Herta-frankfurter type thing, whereas a battered sausage, when consumed after 8 pints as a student, is a veritable delicacy. dulcet I am a former chip shop employee too - my weekend job in sixth form. I used to eat all the crispy batter fresh out of the fryer yum yum. Also, I was the dog's favourite person when I got home from work. I've had worse jobs!

The trip was exhausting but I'm glad I did it - I feel much better having seen where I'll be having the baby, the hospital in Bangkok is very swish, and I guess it will be fine, just a more American experience than we get in the UK, ie, more medicalised, everything on demand and at a price. But as we won't be paying ourselves that's fine, and there's a lady doc who specialises in water births/natural birthing so I'll get myself registered with her. DH impressed with provision of Apple TV in birthing suite... We've also found a couple of good accommodation options near the hospital for the 3 months or so I'll be in BKK. There's also a branch of mothercare nearby and it's a part of town i know reasonably well. So all goodSmile.

As for the country where we'll be living longer term, a different story entirely! Whereas BKK is very developed these days, where we'll be living is... BlushNot. It's more India than South East Asia, just without the posh bits of modern Indian cities. It's going to be a challenge but I've spoken to a few people who have kids out there and they do fine. We'll just have to stay quite close to home til we've got the hang of things. Which I think is what you have to do with any newborn right (graduated grads?). My instinct that a pushchair won't be much use was 100% right! And I think once microniff starts toddling I will be needing some very robust reins. Or perhaps a baby-sized climbing harness and rope attached firmly to me, just in case it toddles into an open sewer with missing manhole cover. Hmmm....

In other news I've posted bumpie #1 on fb page. You can't actually see the full scale of it there but I am enormous for 14 weeks. but it's not particularly squishy so I don't think I've put weight on on my belly (my arse and thighs are a different story). I might have to rename microniff massiveniff...

LaLaLaaaa · 12/07/2015 10:08

Oh yes 11 week 'symptoms gone I've gone the fear'? Yup placenta taking over, try not to worry

Niffertiti · 12/07/2015 10:10

Pretzel I've felt basically fine since 11 weeks - don't fret, just enjoy it! As Thursday says, placenta kicks in around then and it takes the strain off you a bit. I still tire quicker than before, but I'm no longer nauseous/permanently exhausted like with MS.

pretzelpieces · 12/07/2015 10:17

Ah thanks everyone that's a relief. Hopefully it's a sign things are good and placenta has formed rather than something bad then! What would I do without you lot?

niff your bumpie is so cute! My belly looks that size already but I always carry weight on my tum so I think mine might be the toast and hula hoops I've been living on for the last two months Grin it's so interesting to hear about Bangkok etc., I'm glad you got to see the hospital and everything. It must be reassuring to be able to make firmer plans about how things will go.

Niffertiti · 12/07/2015 10:25

Thanks pretzel it is good to be able to picture it. Still terrified though I won't lie!

I am supposed to be going swimming but am farting around on interweb instead. Might have bought some newborn stuff in mothercare sale. Oops... SO CUTE THOUGH!
