Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Ga sorry about your Sainsburys experience. A new one opened up just a couple of roads away from us and it's huuuuge. Has a great selection of clothing and home stuff. I got a new dress which is all floaty and soft and stretchy. Perfect for this warm weather, and because of the style (goes in just below the boobs then floats out), it's also got plenty of room for a growing bump. Good purchase that will last me for months. And then in Autumn/Winter I can wear with leggings and cardigan. Boom.

Rain forecast for around midday here - me and my colleagues have already discussed and are going to go out and dance in it!

And I have some Fab ice lollies to get me through the day. The tricky thing will be to not eat them all before 11am...

I don't envy anyone having to go anywhere in this heat.
I'm sat here in a short dress with a fan on my legs. I may get the trug and fill it with water later again. Hope no one comes to the door, my white tree trunk legs are a sight to behold!

Pud I'm glad the kitten is doing better

Oh and Ga, I'd complain about the woman. That's a disgusting way to speak to anyone

La how about Croatia?
The coast is meant to be gorgeous, and inland there are some amazing 'country parks' with waterfalls and lakes and mountains.
Not sure if it's far enough to get some sun in November though.

Or a Greek island maybe? Santorini averages ~19 degrees in Nov apparently. Is that hot enough for you?

maemay · 02/07/2015 09:24

Jelly if you puke on your work boat trip, you could pass it off as seasickness rather than MS?? Is it meant to be a 'team bonding' kind of thing? Or do you have really posh clients?

LaLaLaaaa · 02/07/2015 09:50

I'd love to go to Croatia but for this holiday we want hot hot so would probs need to be further away

Do you mean like proper long haul la?

Hopefully that's a bit of progress pud but she's making you worry still. Poor thing. I agree, might be good to ask the rehoming place if there is news from the rest of the litter.

That's not good mountain! Hospitals are always so warm, would hate to have to be there in this heat (including being in labour!). Do they take extra care of you when it's like this, stop you being the ones being admitted!?

La I am going to be massively pregnant in Thailand in November! Come and keep me company. Tho I don't think I'll be moving far away from the hospital in bkk...

Doha/Dubai are hot and have good facilities and reasonably short flights. Not so much culcha though...

I am trying to find us somewhere nice and swanky to spend Xmas that's not more than a 90 min drive out of Bangkok but will feel countrysideish. It'll be a weird Christmas!

Or just go to the Caribbean. I lived there for a little while, it was well lush. Ideal waters for baby dunking!

Oooh Thailand! Is it quite child friendly? We've wanted to go there for years.

We were thinking for this one we would need to go to resort to get the
child friendly status.

We were thinking Egypt perhaps?

Where in Caribbean? I'm bit clueless!

Thais LOVE babies and you could definitely find a nice family friendly resort. Long flight, but I've seen lots of people do it with tiny tots. You could combine time on beach with some interesting sight-seeing. November isn't a bad time to go - Jan/feb best as it's cooler. I'd not do less than a fortnight though cos of jetlag.

I was in the French speaking Caribbean for part of my degree (hard lifeGrin) but I've always wanted to go to Tobago. It looks A-Mazing. Shorter flight than SEAsia, and easier time difference.

Niffertiti · 02/07/2015 10:50

I can't offer any advice on Egypt though!

Thailand would be lovely la - obviously I like Dubai or I wouldn't live here and November is my favourite month here weather wise but if you usually go off the beaten track then Dubai is probably going to be a bit new and shiny and culture-less for you, however if you don't think you will end up getting much further than the pool then the hotels are amazing so could be worth a look. I absolutely love Sri Lanka too.

Thanks mae but I don't think I'll be able to face Sainsburys again.
Shit you not my house got struck by lightning last night and it fucked the Ariel and fried everything attached to it so my telly my HD recorder and blu ray player are all dead. Fuck. My. Life.

No way Ga!! That's so scary!
Can you get them replaced on the insurance, or does it count as an "act of God" and therefore insurance companies refuse to pay out??

Report
Purpleball · 02/07/2015 11:40

Shit Ga, should be covered by insurance. Scary though!

Have nothing to add to holiday conversation. Egypt is one place I wouldn't go back to. I'd be wary of hotel rooms as you might need to heat bottles, or take a travel kettle etc.
you might be better in an apartment

honeysucklejasmine · 02/07/2015 11:44

Oh Ga! How annoying! Hope you can get it sorted with insurance.

:( ga that's shite! I've just told my dh that it happened as he's always saying I'm stupid for wanting to uplug everything during lightning storm

I'm really sorry :(

I've suddenly noticed that my hands have swollen up a bit - it's not much but I can't close hands into fists. It's likely just the heat isn't it? But should I be phoning someone to check?

Couldn't get through to midwives - it's useless in my town, they are just too busy. Phoned day unit and a student midwife who sounds about 15 told me it sounds fine and not to worry.

so I'm going to go out for lunch with the NCT girls and not worry!

OMG ga! That is shit luck! At least you are all ok. Were you the only ones or were others on the block affected?

It could be the heat la but keep an eye on it as it can indicate other things too. On it's own it's hopefully not too big a deal and will go down soon. (I'm off for lunch with NCT ladies too - first girls only event!)

Bloody hell ga that's scary. Happened to my grandparents when I was young, the aerial wire ran through the house and scorched all of their wall paper.

I am still scared of thunder and lightening now!

My next nct lunch is next Tuesday Grin

Not sure what to eat today. Yesterday wasn't exactly healthy but all I want is breakfast cereal and icecream Sad

pud I haven't been following your kitten strife so ignore me if you've been there/done that.

Have you tried gastrointestinal control food? My boy was extremely malnourished due to D&V and the vet wasn't sure if he would make it as he wasn't thriving. Sensitivity food did nothing but the gastrointestinal stuff sorted it. He's still on it now but he's just over a year old now :)
