Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Hurray for new Fred La - this could be your lucky one

No more client visits for me, just a fuck ton of web sessions for the next 6 weeks til I finish. Laptop issue has been ignored by bosses so I need to pursue it when I'm in the mood!

I'm currently thinking about putting cold water in foot spa or a bucket as my cankles are huge

NDN who is also pregnant has invited us and 2 other couples to a BBQ on Saturday, all of whom are expecting soonSmile
I'm really chuffed and looking forward to it. I don't know anyone around here so I need mat leave buddies - esp as I missed out on NCT classes

Just did some kegal's. Made me do a poo. Win.

When do you recommend signing up for nct.

Sooner the better jelly. I left it til 25 weeks and all classes were full. They possibly run less in summer though

I think we have just decided on our baby names and for some reason it has made me mega excited and I can't wait to use them! Although also terrified someone else will get in there first, everyone else I know who is pregnant is due after me but one has announced her name after 20 week scan so I'm worried others will!

Report
WilHarlot · 01/07/2015 20:08

She'll probably change her mind Bat! Are you sharing or is it a secret?

Report
batfish · 01/07/2015 20:11

Oh the one who has announced hers isn't the name we want luckily but I'm worried now that someone else will choose ours as we hardly like any haha. Boy is Flynn James (my maiden name is James) and girl is Mila Rose Eva (Rose and Eva are our late grandma's names). Baby naming is so tough!

No word of a lie, I have been working from home today with my feet in a wok of cold water, intermittently topped up with ice. It was the largest thing I could find. The glamour, the glamour. ...

Report
batfish · 01/07/2015 20:15

Ha deeply a wok - love it! Desperate times! You'll all hate me but I've been under a blanket tonight as mr bat has the AC blasting, bloody freezing!

Aw that's lovely of you neighbour purple, that will be a nice little gang hopefully.

The pre-baby visit does seen weird wil, as by this stage if they come in with a concern what are they gonna do?! Do you have any health type visitors there when baby born?

Lovely names bat. Naming is really tough - still nothing here! The chances are they won't use the same names but you never know! You could still use them even if they did...

Feet in a bowl of cold water now. Short term relief!

Honey I am so glad you found your cat! I didn't have time to post earlier but I was worried. She is a beaut too!

Also enjoying the weather but a) whoever invited clothes is an idiot and b) bras should be illegal in temperatures over 25 degrees. To be fair, I really need to go and get measured for a mat bra, but the shops are soooooo faaaaar awaaaaaay

Stupid preggo hormones are making me feel weird today. Like I have feelings. I'm from Yorkshire, this is disconcerting.

Ice lollies for tea Mountain!

Baby names are really tough. We've got Harrison and Dominic. I still want Finley but I won't get it.

They are all on our culdesac dulcet so I'm hoping they are all nice, I'm sure they will be

I've got a trug with 6 inches of cold water in, and I'm soaking my feet and ankles in it while watching wimbledon Smile

Loving the names bat and purple!

Purple your NDN sound lovely! I like my nct group but I'm more at home with the girls from my exercise class, so definitely think it's good to meet as many groups of folk in same position as you.

I went to fit mummy class - are you impressed! Teacher was very pleased to see me and let me have the big fan on my spot the whole time. She took photos with me at the end coz she says she will be surprised if I'm back next week.

Back to lying on bed in pants with fan pointed up bits.

Bat - well jel of your a/c!

Jelly I would sign up once you've got 12 week scan out the way. Don't leave it too late - as purple says they get booked up

Should really eat tea but it's bit late and I'm not hungry

What did you have in the end mountain?

Did I start a trend with the feet in water thing? I'm pretty certain it was fleurs suggestion but I'll happily take the credit Grin

Bat our top spot for a girl is currently Myla (with a y, rather than an i). It means "merciful" which I really like. And it's unusual -don't know anyone else with that name. Does Mila mean the same?

My sis chose a middle name for her DS that's been on my list for yonks. She'd had it for ages and she didn't know it was on our list too! I don't think it will stop us using it if we want to (come the time) though.

Entrée tonight was pringles.
Followed by main of a Thai fish cake and Chinese crispy spring roll.
Ready meals for the win!

We've had smoked mackerel and salad polishes halo

I've been looking at my poor swollen feet all day thinking of paddling pools when I remembered the trug. It's definitely the future! I do find that my feet regulate my body temp though

Report
maemay · 01/07/2015 21:24

Yes, apparently feet do regulate the body temp. It's the same reason you need socks on in bed in winter!

La I nearly cried when I got the invite. I'd just said to mum that I was worried about meeting local mums and babies. I'd heard some baby groups were a bit clicquey as they'd met at NCT first.
I found a local baby group on Facebook so I joined and they've told me to go along and meet people before I have the baby which is lovely too Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 01/07/2015 21:49

Purple you should be able to join nct after the birth and go to their meet ups

Ended up having strawberries and some cheese and biscuits. Just not really hungry and don't know what to eat! Dh not home yet so might snack with him when he gets back. Trying to think up something tasty/desirable in hot weather/low gi is bloody hard.

Loving the names!

The thunder has just started here...

I'd love a cold foot bath right now.

Purple it's great to have neighbours on mat leave at the same time. I also met good people through breastfeeding group and at a baby music class. There are lots of opportunities. I'm not particularly friendly so if I can meet people, anyone can Grin .

Yes Dulcet we have midwives for 10 days postnatal (or longer if required) and then discharged to HV. I am on email terms with mine because I have to see her so much! I think she might hate me. Our bf group is also run by HVs.

Lovely baby names folks.

Kiddos sports day and graduation ceremony at her nursery today. I cried uncontrollably. I'll pop a pic on FB.
I got sunburn today. Finally! There was a power cut so Sainsburys was selling off the fridge and freezer stuff and it was in the dark Shock.
Sainsbos fitting room attendant insulted me...'oh are you going to see what you can try and squeeze into?' Fucking poisonous bitch.

She's in a pop-up sunshade Mae but we didn't get to use it because (I shit you not) it's rained on and off all fucking day. Hottest day of the year my arse Hmm

Aw some lovely names Smile

Purple I've also met people at breastfeeding group and the sling meet ups. We're doing baby massage (run by HVs - they have their uses) which BabyPis seems to like but I've only been once and all the other mums seem to know each other already.

We don't get prenatal HV visits here either. Seems a bit of a waste of time really?
