Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Christ, Ga, sounds scary. Hope you can get the telly replaced before you get pinned to the sofa feeding.

La, they admitted me when my hands swelled up. Bloods and BP were done, were normal, so then we said it was the heat. Think the student might be being a little blasé about things...

Mountain you have my sympathy. I've done the crash team/pregnant in summer combo. It was not pretty.

Hope the cat is eating some more and putting weight back on, Pud.

Argh ga that's shitty luck, I am scared of lightning after hearing a story like this when I was little and in that story the windows were shattered too, eeeeek!

Oh my god Ga! This is why I am scared of thunder and lightning. I used to live in the states so I know when storms are 'bad'. DH thought I was mental one night (in the UK) for getting up in the night to check the house hadn't been struck as I could HEAR the lightning striking close to us. He didn't believe me and the next day we found out there had been 3 damage - causing strikes within a mile - so ha!! I also won't shower or go for a wee during a thunderstorm in case I get shocked through the plumbing, don't want a lightning bolt up the bum!

Thanks for the cat love all, vets are being good but don't feel that I can call for reassurance at 10pm when I am having a panic, you guys are really helping me to stay calm! Will call the vets again today re lack of eating and take in the 'poo samples' tomorrow. The samples are really just litter that have some diarrhoea on as there is nothing to actually sample! I will try her with the boiled cod. She seems to be into new food but then will refuse to eat it the next day - I guess if it gives her a sore tum then she learns not to eat it? Yes still on the probiotic when she will actually eat it. Come on little kitty!!!

Rooting for her Pud.

I heard some thunder last night but don't think we had much of a storm. If we did I slept through it.

La we went to the Algarve in October and it was about 27 degrees but think November might be a push for heat there. Tenerife? I actually find it a bit stressful being in the hot sun with a baby as you spend half your time trying to keep them cool, but suppose you and Mr La can do shifts inside in the air con. I don't think I'd risk Egypt at the moment with the current terror attack issues but am sure the foreign office will have it on alert if there's a real threat. For November I'd probably go long-haul. What's Cuba like that time of year?

Dulcet my HV is actually fine. It's just I pester her a lot for referrals etc and probably give her a headache.

There was masses of lightning here, a bit of thunder but no rain. Pics on local FB group of red skies - very bizarre!
I slept through the whole thing with my earplugs in

Do they still advise scrambled egg for poorly cats? I had to give mine it after their op or maybe that was the dog

Had a lunchtime nap today - hurray for working at home Smile

November is a tough time of the year because the Mediterranean won't be that hot. Not sure about Croatia and Bulgaria? Long haul like the carribean and the states will be nice.

Bristol is cold and wet :( not happy. Still I'm in a nice hotel room and just took advantage of the free coffee and biscuits.

la the forum is pet forum UK. It's a bit clickey but there are some super knowledgable people on there. They've helped me loads when my cat was really unwell last year.

And yes, I'm is flying. I'm starting t to relax a bit more now I'm almost 10 weeks. I know your never "safe" but I feel the most dangerous part is over. I just need to get my scan over with on Tuesday.

Afternoon viroids

So sad to hear of the mcs :( I hadn't seen that. Feather didn't return here after her bleeding, I take it it wasn't good news after her final scan? Flowers

Hands have returned to normal size - I phoned my midwife again just in case child-midwife was wrong and she also said it was likely the heat.

Just had cream tea with NCT girls. They are all lovely but I'm the oldest and I do 'feel' the oldest. It's quite hard to relate sometimes as I've lived all over the place and have had a bit of a chequered past, so sometimes I have to tone it down a bit otherwise I come across as a bit much and almost like a show-off, talking about things I've done. The girls from my exercise class are a bit older and I think that's why I find them easier to talk to. With the NCT girls I end up babbling a lot and trying to fill conversation gaps.

Hopefully we're just still getting to know each other and it'll get easier.

I don't mind thunder and lightning but I don't like being out in it.

ga how's the tv? Is it past repair?

mountain does crash team mean you are the person who has to resuscitate people if they go into cardiac arrest? I am fascinated by the many different roles doctors and nurses have in hospitals, there seem to be so many different types of expertise.

pud she is maybe just being a typical cat/kitten with her food-aversions, they can be bloody tricky animals! The general rule is the smellier the better - if mine won't eat I blast it in the microwave for a couple of secs to get the aromas going and that usually tempts them. So the fish should get her going. If she's getting fluids then you're halfway there with her - as jelly pointed out it's dehydration that's the killer. Keep persevering, you're doing brilliantly.

I think we'll have to go a long way for November heat. We were thinking something like Thailand or Sharm. We went to Sri Lanka for honeymoon and LOVED it, but should probably go somewhere different. We did think of Cuba, that's definitely on the list. We are normally very much all about culture etc. but wondered with young baby whether it would be better just to go for an all-exclusive package where we can relax for a couple of weeks and don't have to do much. Many of the resorts are family friendly and have baby facilities.

would I've added you to the stats sheet but didn't know your EDD, you can fill it out yourself when you feel ready :)

miniLa is shoving hands out one way and feet out the other, it's definitely cramped in there.

I'm the same la definitely the oldie of the nct group and DH, who is a few years older than me, is positively ancient

Still they are a nice bunch, I have to check myself not to come across as all "know it all" - it's just that I have been round the block a bit and most of my friends have kids (plus I have nieces and nephews) so compared to some of them who have never held a baby / haven't even left home yet ( Shock ) I am a wise old owl.

I am off out for dinner tonight with friends. Stupidly excited after being at home all day and have even straightened my hair Grin

Cuba is a good shout, I loved Havana and would like to go back to see how it's changed.

Mexico? Never been myself though

Ooh la I think you should go to the Caribbean because I really really want to
Yep that is what the crash team is in a nutshell! Usually made up of a rota of people from a&e or medical team, we work our usual shift but carry a bleep so if someone gets very unwell in other part of the hospital then off we go! I was only on call till 1 though, then went and supervised students having anatomy lessons: working in a fridge Grin.
Sadly fleur they seem to forget that we have to run around like crazies work, i find it does mean that people tend to work better together though as it's like an 'all for one' atmosphere

pud my cat is currently being a little madam and refusing to eat the food in her bowl (which is usually her favourite) sometimes I think they are just fussy!

La one of my friends who travels a lot says that Cuba is the best place he has ever been!

Had my 16 week appointment earlier and met my new mw who is lovely and only a little bit batty which I think is a good combo. Good news; I don't have syphilis, herpes or HIV so Yey for the lack of venereal diseases! I got to hear the heartbeat too which was lovely. I presumed I wouldn't at 16 weeks but she found it straight away.

I typed my post earlier while waiting for my appointment so didn't get to answer all of your advice about Eris. I called the cattery last week to see if they had any more info on her background (no luck) and to see if they had any ideas. They were lovely but none of the other kittens were ill so couldn't help. We tried the GI food too but she is not into that at all. I have just tried her with boiled cod however and she has gone totally mad for it. She ate it from the dish herself (unheard of so far). And I have had to take it off her twice for half hour breaks as I was worried she would make herself sick - she is now meowing and looking for the cod, again unheard of, could be a good sign? desperately tries not to get hopes up

Pud that's fantastic that you heard hb and also that little one is eating, hooray! Little and often as you're doing will get her strength back up.

Fleur have a lovely evening! 'Been around the block a bit' - yes that's how I'd describe it too Grin

Playlist for hospital is done and contains such masterpieces as 'birdhouse in your soul' and 'push it' as well as a tribute to britpop and some Motown.

I've been thinking about playlist. We can take an iPod but might be safer to have a CD. I like the idea of my favourite music playing when baby is born.

I've also been around the block and at 41 I'm definitely an older mum. I have 3 nephews and 2 nieces and 2 godchildren and I've been involved in all their lives from being tiny. So I do know a fair amount about little ones. It's the parenting aspect that I'm less sure of. I need to keep myself in check as well. I don't want to alienate anyone by coming across as a know all.

Looks like I have sold the surplus cot at a £5 loss - I can live with that Smile I'm just glad to get rid of it.

New bath being fitted tomorrow so I'm going to work at mums house as I've got web sessions to run. Best take my fan with me Smile wonder if they'll mind if I take my leggings off Smile

I am sure, however, that between us we could come up with some additions such as:

Anybody seen my baby
Scream
etc Wink

Go to Cuba and report back to me please, I'd love to go Grin .

I didn't have any 'mummy friends' before having my baby Mountain, don't worry.
