Hello ladies. Just caught up on all your news and loved hearing about the scans! Frozen I hope you're ok.

DH and I are on a mini holiday to Scotland. It has been so nice to get out of London and breathe lots of fresh air. It wasn't so great this afternoon though when we were driving along very windy roads through the Trossachs and the MS rapidly returned... Cue long spell over the toilet when we finally arrived at our B&B! Ah well, we are on the coast now and went out for a delicious fishy meal so bean definitely got a good omega 3 fix today! Smile

MissMartin10 · 28/06/2015 00:20

lovley blue you can't beat a bit of fresh air Grin

coffeenut · 28/06/2015 01:12

frozen just to reiterate what others have said - there is still a very good chance that nothing is wrong. My cousin's wife had a high risk and went for amnio (before harmony was avail) and has a healthy baby now. Hand holding for now though, I'm sure you're worried out of your mind Flowers

NCT classes - one of the best things I did while pregnant. I can't even remember the classes themselves joey but they did give some good breastfeeding tips and c-section tips (it wasn't just labour advice - in fact there was not enuogh of that really!). Btn NCT and pregnancy yoga, I found a really tight group of friends who all had babies within about a month of each other. Don't underestimate having a mothers group with very close aged babies. It can be very helpful to compare and share any concerns. 3/4 months or more either way makes a huge difference.

Also, whoever said they were having fruit cravings and therefore must be having a girl; sorry but that is the number one craving here and I'm def having a boy! In fact last night I passed up the offer of a magnum for an orange. I'm convinced the feeling super cold thing is a boy symptom too - was never this cold with the girls.

mrsfazruns · 28/06/2015 05:31

Ooohhh coffeenut it's 0530, I can't sleep and you have put the idea of a nice juicy orange in my head .... And I don't have any!! Don't even think watermelon will make up for it!! Must go shopping later

BeeMyBaby · 28/06/2015 07:01

missmartin just to say the second scan is between 18-20 weeks (my mw told me if you have a lower bmi they tend to do it at 18 weeks) so it's not really that much difference if you get a private scan at 17 weeks.

brickiemum2 · 28/06/2015 07:18

It's been a busy couple of days in here! Congratulations to everyone on all the lovely scan pictures. They're fantastic Grin
Hand holding for frozen but things are very much still on your side. Think of it this way....if you were told the odds of something fantastic happening were 1 in 46 you would be really pessimistic of it ever happening. How brilliant that you are getting the harmony done though. Hopefully the results will come through quickly.
I've told my parents our news, they are getting used to the idea and pleased but I think they were quite shocked (we live in a small house with two kids and two large dogs as it is....they worry how we will manage)
Scan tomorrow, very fricking nervous lol.

frozenfairy123 · 28/06/2015 08:03

Thank u so much for all your kind words and hand holding. I really appreciate the support.
Still loving hearing all the other good news and scans from people but finding it hard to write individual comments at the mo xxx

dinosaurdaughter · 28/06/2015 09:08

Lovely to see all the scans and good luck to those waiting harmony results. 11+6 and no nausea for about a week which is good but also a little disconcerting.
Someone was asking about home Dopplers I would be wary of them. I have one and used it loads first time but it was unreliable and I panicked one day when I couldn't get a heartbeat and ended up at hospital who were fab and opened the clinic up for me specially on the weekend to check heartbeat. All was fine but I stopped using it after that as it just made me anxious. Counting the kicks is better. Saying that though the lady who gave it to me used to let her first child listen and it helped them feel more involved. I think if you use them for fun they are fine but don't rely on them.

MissMartin10 · 28/06/2015 09:36

Bee oh that's goodSmile my bmi is still pretty low at 19.5 (even after putting on a few pregnancy pounds Blush) so hopefully i may get it a little earlier.. After the 20 week scan how many other scans do low risk pregnancies usually have?

mrschatty · 28/06/2015 09:48

martin only 2 for low risk on nhs. We've already decided to go back to babybond again further down the line after 20w scan.
I've been advised away from dopplers- like dinosaur said can cause undue panic

MissMartin10 · 28/06/2015 10:28

oh no! i want loads, nevermind hehe Sad

Blackandwhitecat3 · 28/06/2015 10:38

Dinosaur I'm with you on the symptoms. 11+6 today too, and have had 7 good days on the trot with only minimal nausea. V tired today though, have had some really deep sleeps this weekend. Yawn.

Going shopping for clothes this afternoon. I need to get though one week of work in casual clothes and really am desperate. I think I'm just going to buy some stuff a size up as bump isn't big enough yet to hold any mat clothes up. Part of me feels it's a waste because it's buying clothes for about 2 months, but I guess there'll be a period of time after birth with enormous boobs and a bumpy tummy anyway so they'll be useful then too.

Oh and I need to order more bras!

BeeMyBaby · 28/06/2015 11:03

missmartin my bmi is a good bit higher than yours but still in the 'normal' range and I'm meant to be getting a scan at 18 weeks because of this instead of 20. At least by then you can feel baby moving around everyday so the need to visually see it to prove to yourself it's still there goes away.

I realised yesterday that I'm wearing the completely wrong bra size (stupid m&s) so I'm going to look out getting some new bras and it feels less of a waste of money since I would have to do it no matter what due to changing chest size. Yay pregnancy boobs Grin

Blackandwhitecat3 · 28/06/2015 11:21

Just been reading about slings and realised that I'm really looking forward to my first cuddles. Can't wait! Getting very broody Smile

SleepyDragon · 28/06/2015 11:26

Morning all.

Frozen everything is crossed for you, it must be worrying but you've still a strong chance your bubba won't be Downs.

Congrats everyone on their scan pics and news, so impatient for mine, came believe I've to wait til 13+1

Went to my Lets Rock London festival yesterday, was a very long and hot day mainly sat on the hard floor. Only 1 girl realised I wasn't drinking and agreed when I said it was too hot to so I got away with that!

Feeling incredibly tired and sick today, sickest I've felt so far.

Also, put my bra on this morning and nearly cried at the pain at the side/under armpits bit.... Will keep it on for a bit so I don't scare the Tesco delivery man but then it's coming off again!

SleepyDragon · 28/06/2015 11:28

MissMartin and Bee my BMI puts me in the high risk category (not stating what it is, not proud of how high it's got) and my MW said I may be eligible for scans every 4 weeks!!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 28/06/2015 13:33

Been feeling quite good for a few days and the nausea came back with a vengeance yesterday evening and it's still hanging around now. Ugh!

Been browsing moses baskets and other things. I really want to get one but it feels far too soon at 11+1!

aliquid · 28/06/2015 13:48

Two under two for me! There'll be 20 months between them! We're going for the oyster max tandem. Fits the newborn car seat (didn't have this last time and drove me potty), two proper seats rather than one good size and a tiny one, loads of different combinations of seats and converts back to a single once ds is ready for just a buggy board. Steers like a dream too and a pretty decent price for a tandem (just under 600). Before teaching I was a nanny and a bit of a buggy obsessive but we have this clunky graco thing which I HATE so can't wait to have a decent one!

Just back from a very soggy morning in Henley, now curling up with Shrek. May have an 'accidental' snooze!

crumble74 · 28/06/2015 13:56

Aww b&w that's nice you're getting broody. I remember reading a BabyBjorn review in my last pregnancy about how you can hold their little feet whilst kissing their little heads...aaah!

My DS is now almost a year old but I still kiss his little head all day and cuddle him every chance I get. It really is the best. Smile

mrsfazruns · 28/06/2015 14:05

maybemrs I have been the same this morning .... Mamas and papas have a sale on at the mo and got itchy feet wanting to go and buy stuff!! Hopefully if 12 week scan all good tomorrow I might go and put deposit on stuff

kep1979 · 28/06/2015 14:34

maybe and mrsfaz I am desperate to start shopping too! Will start looking after 12 week scan although already decided on the Bugaboo Buffalo Smile I just want to play with them all.

And I am desperately broody. Had a lovely dream the other night about the first cuddles and feed after baby arrives - it felt so real, and baby's face was very clear (no hair, looked like dh, BIG baby). Roll on this next 6ish months!

SleepyDragon · 28/06/2015 14:42

We decided on a Silver Cross Wayfarer (providing there's only one in there!) and a bloom fresco high chair. The Moses basket is being given to us by my SIL.

MissMartin10 · 28/06/2015 14:43

im naughty... i have bought loads! Blush

MissMartin10 · 28/06/2015 14:44

oh me too sleepy i just want it in black so i can use it with any other dc i may have in the future.. a good strong unisex colour ha

mrsfazruns · 28/06/2015 14:49

MIL has already put a deposit on mamas and papas solo MTX which I love!! She is coming down for scan tomorrow so hoping to go straight to the shops to get some inspiration!! Also going to start picking up bits and bobs at each big supermarket shop!
