frozen sorry for your news - is bound to be worrying! But the likelihood is still in favour if not having it. Glad that they're giving you all the support you need at this time xx

aliquid · 27/06/2015 08:28

Sorry to hear you're in for a worrying time frozen am going to reiterate kep and hope we can help next couple of weeks Flowers

Yokyil · 27/06/2015 08:30

Anyone know if you can tint your eyebrows?? I know you can't dye your hair.
Was at the docs yday to see if they can recommend anything for the indigestion - so have now got tablets for that & crossing everything they work!! Been having icky discharge (tmi) so had to have a swab taken partially with a speculum Shock which scared the life outta me - scared of tempting fate poking around 'down there'. Anyone else been to the GP lately? Did they press down v hard on belly? Felt like she was trying to poke baby bean in the eye or something!!! Def forceful from just under bra, all over tummy and around where your bladder is.

kep1979 · 27/06/2015 08:33

What do people think about home dopplers? I am totally on the fence having seen pros and cons, so just wondered what others thought.

I am having a pinterest morning - loving planning the nursery need to move in the new house first!

And 11 weeks today Smile... Only 9 days until the scan and 10 days until i tell the world!

kep1979 · 27/06/2015 08:35

Yokyil you can dye your hair, so i presume eyebrows are ok. I am getting mine done if that makes you feel better Smile

Yokyil · 27/06/2015 08:38

That's all the encouragement I need kep Grin these brows are out of control!!

mrsfazruns · 27/06/2015 09:15

It's a beautiful day and all I want to do is lie in bed and have a cry .... Stupid hormones

mrschatty · 27/06/2015 09:38

frozen I'm sorry to hear that I bet it was a shock. Let us know how the harmony goes thinking of you sweet Flowers

I feel quite well today Smile that 12w mark is looming only heaved at the cat food once!

Ifelola · 27/06/2015 09:51

Sorry to hear your news frozen, hope the harmony test can ease some of your worry.

I am the quiet one sitting in the middle of the bus with my head in a book, but I have been listening in to all the conversations and this group has really helped me feel better about everything that's happening.

I do have a bit of a moany story though. Last week I had my contact lense check so I told the optician I'm pregnant as they usually but this chemical thing in my eye and I didn't know if it was ok. She said it was fine, but didn't use it anyway and said that my vision test was coming up soon, but that pregnancy can make your eyes worse so didn't recommend I do it. Then afterwards the shop assistant asked me about getting new glasses and when my vision test is so I told her I was pregnant and probably wouldn't have it because of what the optician said about pregnancy affecting my eyes. She burst out laughing really loud in my face 'pahahahaha!' like it was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard and I had made it up or something. It really annoyed me, and I don't even know why! It seems that everyone has to have an opinion about pregnancy and they are certain that what they know of it is the 'right' way. It put me off telling anyone else, so now I am back in the closet until after my scan and / or start showing more (although have told close family and close friends and my line manager at work as needed some time off). Only a week and a bit now to 12 wk scan on 7th July first thing in the morning.

mrschatty · 27/06/2015 10:06

lola that's shocking. Some people are just so patronising. Screw em all. Celebrate your blossoming button and all your doing is protecting your baby. Flowers

lilyb84 · 27/06/2015 10:07

lfelola we're scan date buddies Smile

frozen I'm sorry to hear you're going through that - glad to hear you're getting support and free harmony test, though. Thinking of you.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 27/06/2015 10:27

MrsFaz hope a sleep helps you feel better. Remember, easier times are ahead. I met one of the midwives as the Spires today (she took my bloods) and she was awesome. Just the kind of lady I'd like to have by my side in labour!

Interestingly, as she was commenting on my physical fitness (whaaaaat? I haven't done any exercise for four months!) she advised me not to build up my stomach muscles, apparently the slacker they are, the easier baby comes out. Hurrah! She did admit a bit of pregnancy yoga to build up core muscles would be a good idea though, but I'm going follow her advice and develop some truly slack tummy muscles over the next 6 months mainly by eating jam tarts.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 27/06/2015 10:30

So....wonderful people, let me introduce you to B&WKitten. 11+5 today and bang on CRL. Having a determined snooze but eventually after a lot of jiggling had a little stretch and gave us a wave Smile. 2 arms, 2 legs, a strong heartbeat and a thin nuchal fold. A good day. Fx bloods come back with similar good news.

lilyb84 · 27/06/2015 10:54

Brilliant, b&w! Congrats on a lovely clear scan Smile

FizzyPinkWine · 27/06/2015 11:20

Great pic b&w! Lovely clear scan!

TeenieDeenie · 27/06/2015 11:24

Congrats B&W, I just logged in on my laptop to see your piccie, lovely!! And so clear! You must be over the moon Smile Fab scan news and photos this week ladies!

Sorry you're feeling poorly MrsFaz, I find having a nap always helps when I'm feeling like that. I hope it lifts at some point today so you can enjoy some of the sunshine.

Frozen I'm sorry to hear about your results. Am glad to hear you are being referred for free harmony testing though. As others have said, the odds are in your favour and we will all be here to support you through this. Hugs.

Anyone having scans today?

Bluenewbie · 27/06/2015 11:25

Frozen so sorry to hear that. I'm also 37 and I'm scared it can happen to me as well. How did it work that despite not living in London they offered you a Harmony test there, if you don't mind me asking?

sending you and your Bean warm wishes Flowers

mrsfazruns · 27/06/2015 11:28

Thanks for support .... I've got up dusted myself off and booked an eyebrow wax!!

blackandwhite are you on about spires in oxford?? That's hopefully where I want to give birth!! Is it nice .... Heard good things!

Bluenewbie · 27/06/2015 11:28

I'm off for my early scan. They called this morning, they have a slot for me today. I'm really scared they won't find anything there.. my discharge even stopped yesterday- will feel like a hoax hmm

If I'm not back, means it didn't work out this time.

You are lovely bunch of ladies. Wish you all happy PG and healthy babies at the end of it xx

mrsfazruns · 27/06/2015 11:32

Good luck blue lots of finger crossing for you!!

babybabynamechange · 27/06/2015 11:55

Notes question:

Did anyone NOT get given their notes to take away after their booking appointment? I had mine yesterday and it was only when I got home that I realised that she'd kept my notes and not given them to me. With my son I got given them in that first appointment and kept them myself for the rest of the pregnancy. Was she supposed to give them to me or do different trusts do it differently???

TeenieDeenie · 27/06/2015 11:57

I didn't get mine either baby I was told I would get them at my 12 week scan along with blood and urine results.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 27/06/2015 12:03

Good luck Blue hope it all goes well.

MrsFaz yes! They sent me up there from ultrasound to get my bloods done. It is nice up there. MW was so positive and with-it that I just felt like signing myself up then and there for pain-relief-free birth. Nice views from the top too. Maybe we'll see each other in there Smile.

MissMartin10 · 27/06/2015 12:04

I'm off to host my family BBQ today..Grin .. bye!
