Bloody hell mrsfaz! Hope that heals quickly and you don't feel too stressed for the little bean.

FizzyPinkWine · 05/07/2015 08:29

That looks horrible and very sore. Make sure you look after yourself. Lots of rest today. X

fishermanswife1 · 05/07/2015 08:37

Bloody hell faz! You poor thing. I guess you're lucky it wasn't a few centimetres lower. Did the hospital give you ointment to minimise scarring? DH had some when he split his nose open a while back. Wish I could remember what it's called for you.

Try to rest up today and take it easy.

Lookingforadvice123 · 05/07/2015 08:46

Congrats lara! EVERYONE on this thread is having girls, mine is so definitely a boy, even the Chinese baby calendars say so Wink

mrsfaz what the actual fuck?! This happened at a 50TH BIRTHDAY PARTY?! It's shocking enough when it happens in some dodgy club. No one else seems to have asked this but...did you call/speak to the police? You should for sure, someone attacks you in the face with a glass bottle, they're wanting to seriously hurt you. And you're pregnant!

loveulotslikejellytots · 05/07/2015 09:04

Omg mrsfaz!!! Hope you're ok xx

It's raining here, and as awful as it sounds I'm kind of glad, the nice weather comes with an expectation I should be up and out doing something. I'm snuggled up on the sofa with the dog and a pot of my 'nice tea'. Now I'm 14 weeks I've treated myself to a whole pot of loose leaf Assam Grin I know how to live!! I didn't have any up until now because I wasn't sure of the caffeine content.

Is it awful that I'm already thinking about Christmas??? I love Christmas and usually go so over the top, but my due date is 2nd January, I'm not sure I'll have the energy to be putting up and taking down all the decorations when I'm that pregnant or possibly with a newborn!! I'm also thinking of how I can avoid the shops, I have a feeling amazon will be my friend this year!

ValancyJane · 05/07/2015 09:10

mrsfaz Oh my god, you poor thing - what a nightmare! Like others, hope you spoke to the police, that's just disgusting.

I had a bloody awful night's sleep, vivid pregnancy dreams seem to have kicked in with a vengeance. Last night featured creepy ghosts coming back for their dead children (horrible - I actually woke OH up with that one was I was breathing hard and making noises), my OH dumping me and then being chased across Africa by people trying to kill me. All in separate dreams, not the same one. Absolutely awful and I feel shattered (but for obvious reasons didn't try to doze this morning!) OH is making a cooked breakfast - I've said it can be his apology on behalf of dream him for dumping me last night!! Wink

crumble74 · 05/07/2015 09:44

Goodness me mrsfaz, what a night! I hope you're ok and heal well, what a horrible thing to happen.

I also agree that it is nobody's business to comment on your choices and to pat your tummy like you're public property. People are strange. Nobody ever patted my belly, maybe apart from one friend at work who was over-excited once. I think they know not to!

Thanks for the tip about the toothbrush b&w, I'll try that in a minute. I had a double retch last night as the smell of the toothbrush holder made me gag as well. Confused

MissMartin10 · 05/07/2015 09:50

mrs faz that is horrendous for someone to do that to anyone let alone a pregnant lady! it's sickening. .hope your okay.. yep your doing the right thing for the baby staying calm Smile xx

brickiemum2 · 05/07/2015 10:03

WTAF mrsf Angry Someone did that to you at a 50th party? Where about in Scotland are you just now?

Blackandwhitecat3 · 05/07/2015 10:15

Omg MrsFaz that's terrible. Hope you are ok and that you are safe now. Bio oil will definitely help stop that scarring permanently - friend of mine used it for a facial sporting injury. Not sure when you start using it I.e. after stitches have closed maybe, I can ask if you like?

And about the bump touching, I agree it's out of order. There's a whole thread on it on the pregnancy board.

Crumble hope it works!

MissMartin10 · 05/07/2015 10:42

i wouldn't mind my close friends or family having a touch.. my cousins did it last night and i didn't mind. . if a random lady/man in e.g tesco did it i wouldn't say no or stop but I'd be freaked out.. my sister is always rubbing me but she's so excited as im the oldest so im the first to have a baby she can't wait to be an auntie hehe Smile

MissMartin10 · 05/07/2015 11:21

I've given in! im booking private scan for this week to check up on baby after what happened the other night I've been worried ..and for the sake of £50 im going making sure everything is okay. . not yelling dp though cz he will talk me out of it

Juniper44 · 05/07/2015 13:37

Oh wow MrsFaz! What a party... Hope it heals well and you're not in too much pain. I'd be tempted to inform the police too. Could have got you in the eye! So irresponsible.

Re Christmas, I think the hardest part will be being sober! My family tend to get sloshed- it's part of the tradition Grin
It's also my birthday on 9th January so I'll be massive and grumpy by then...

mrsfazruns · 05/07/2015 13:53

Thanks for the support ladies!! Because I was the only sober one I had to phone an ambulance and the police came at the same time so all documented etc! Sorry for ranting on here but DH not with me so felt very isolated and alone and needed some pregnancy love!! Bio oil is good but need to wait till it heals so should be around 7 days I think!!

crumble74 · 05/07/2015 14:10

Glad you're ok mrsfaz!

Oh and b&w, it worked! Amazing. How did you figure that out?

Wynsey · 05/07/2015 14:20

Omg MrsFaz!! That is terrible!!! Hope you are ok! What a horrible thing for someone to do!! Angry xxx

AlohaMama · 05/07/2015 14:30

who was it who mentioned [whispers] christmas??

you're right of course, will need to plan this one way ahead of time as the kids will still want all the bells and whistles but I'm not willing to give it head-space just yet!!

BlueEspoir · 05/07/2015 15:43

Oh wow MrsFaz you poor thing. I'm not surprised you're furious. What a horrible thing to happen. Definitely let the police know.

Congrats to the new team pink members. I'm still definitely team yellow but am pretty sure I have a blue bean - will be great to see how the teams shape up in the coming months!

Not sure what's changed in the last few days but I finally have started relaxing into pregnancy a bit. It might be something to do with my nearly-bump-like tummy (I can make it look like a very small bump if I stand in a certain position and breathe in!). I have my 12-week scan tomorrow (along with a few others I think - Kep, Spooble and tennis?) and cannot wait to see how bean has changed and to finally be able to take home a photo! Also looking forward to being able to be more open with friends, family and colleagues - keeping this secret has been rather a challenge!

loveulotslikejellytots · 05/07/2015 15:59

Aloha, that was me Smile I love it! I can't wait until next Christmas when we have out little flump here to spoil!!

SleepyDragon · 05/07/2015 16:04

Oooooch MrsF hope you're not feeling too delicate still!

I had an 'interesting' car journey with my SIL today. She's lovely but has very strong opinions and a 2yr old. So far I am not allowed to:

Eat kettle chips
Take any time off work ill
Eat anything fried or roasted (except possibly 1 roast dinner a week)
Not eat prawns
Not drink coke
Shouldn't use my annual leave to break up before Christmas

She has made really good sense on what to buy and what not to buy for bubba but I slipped into smile and nod mode on the above.

MissMartin10 · 05/07/2015 16:26

ive been banned from running down the stairs now! when will this end haha

nicnicspicnic · 05/07/2015 16:31

Well I'm having a moan today. Not only did my MW miss my booking in apt the other day but I went for my 12 w scan today (although Harmony scan said I'm 13 w) only to find that there was no sonographer there who did obstetric scans! I got sent over to the other half of the hospital to the usual maternity side to be told that they didn't have any space for me either. So all my anxiety and stress wasted. I'm feeling very unloved at that hospital. Sad And moan over...

FizzyPinkWine · 05/07/2015 16:38

Nicnic, how annoying. Have they said when you'll have the appointments? I would be so annoyed if that was me!

I am now nearly 14 weeks, I was really hoping the sickness would have improved by now. But it has been worse than ever the last couple of days. Just wish it wasn't the weekend! Has anyone got any idea when it will get better? I didn't have any sickness when I was preg with my son, so it's getting very annoying now!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 05/07/2015 16:43

Nicnics that's just not funny. I feel a complaint coming on...

Coffee I am delighted that it worked for you too. It was such a chance thing, just my facial expression at the time and couldn't believe it!

B&wkitten demanded chicken ramen soup at lunchtime. It was the best thing ever Smile

Sleepy kettle chips!? I've not heard that one!

MrsFaz you sound remarkably calm, glad everything got reported too.

SleepyDragon · 05/07/2015 17:31

B&W apparently they're fried and contain too much salt which will make me put on too much weight.

I'm more 'miffed' at the 'you must take time off ill' - I'll take it if I need it, SIL is a very strong person full stop, she didn't have any time off, worked right up to due date and didn't even realise she was in labour as didn't really feel the contractions...

I feel as if I have a lot to live up to!
