I haven't sat down to read it properly but quite a lot of Emma's Diary has irritated me from the bits I have read, so agree with all your comments! I guess they're aiming for some sort of Everywoman which is tough but I resented the bit where she went to see a chick flick (well, that was implied) and also that she couldn't remember the name of the 'American, indie' band her partner went to see, like such things are such a mystery to us girly girls. I think at that point I decided reading in depth would get me nowhere
mrsfaz yes, it's been dresses only this week so far (except today when I haven't got dressed at all, thanks sick day) as my trousers are now out of the question and jeans aren heading that way. I don't even look particularly bigger unless I've eaten too much and haven't put on any weight so it feels weird that clothes are getting tighter!
