It has been really warm, our room in the hotel we were staying at on Sunday night had a window but it was sealed closed!!! I could've cried. Luckily they provided an air con machine in the room but we couldn't sleep with it on as it made an absolute racket. Needless to say it was a very sweaty, sticky night for us!

I am LOVING this weather...I'm British but honestly was born in the wrong place, I'm always freezing and this temperature is sooo nice for me! I've gotten up early to run the last couple of mornings which has been amazing too (I'm 12+6 and determined the end of the first trimester exhaustion is nigh!!).

Teenie - I am simply enormous by bedtime, look about 6 months pregnant. Then in the mornings, pretty normal...weird.

EdgarAllenPoe · 30/06/2015 12:54

Yesterday evening was spent painting bits of my kitchen. It was boiling. Many ice cubes were eaten. I'm doing it some more this evening. I'm not looking forward to it. I can't handle heat at the best of times. And my office at work is boiling too. Woe is me!

At least I don't feel sick any more.

crumble74 · 30/06/2015 13:02

Just had Harmony results back, all low risk below 1:10000....
....and
....wait for it...
It's a girl!!!

I cannot believe it, I was so sure we were having another boy! I think I know exactly how you feel kep!!!

It's crazy how there's now a few of us that are expecting the sex they weren't expecting. I am too excited to have one of each! Smile

floodwoman23 · 30/06/2015 13:06

Phew, just caught up with all the chat after our holiday. We had a lovely time, and it wasn't too bad coming home as we've got our 12 week scan at 8am on Thursday to look forward to. Smile
Another pre2015 Vista owner here - think it should be ok for this baby as DS will be 3+ in January. Am planning on slinging baby as much as possible this time - I have a stretchy sling from last time but I didn't feel that confident with the ties so I think a sling library visit will be order until baby is big enough for a buckle sling - got my heart set on a Tula I think. Any advice would be very welcome!
Lovely to see all the scans and catch up - love the support on this thread!

MissMartin10 · 30/06/2015 13:14

welcome back flood

Joey0805 · 30/06/2015 13:15

Crumble!! Fantastic news, so pleased for you...

Am I next to find out the sex (thurs)?!?!

MissMartin10 · 30/06/2015 13:15

yeah sleepy so so sick and Dizzy aswell Sad

jmac88 · 30/06/2015 13:48

Had scan this morning. All looking good, babe was very active, and scan was amazingly clear! Turns out my septate uterus is more like bicorniate (when it splits in 2) so baby is tucked into one cavity. Going to have extra scan at 16 weeks to check length of my cervix to determine risk of premature labour, and then extra scan at 28 weeks to check baby is growing ok and had enough room. I don't mind though, just means I get to see the little cutie twice more often!

AlohaMama · 30/06/2015 14:02

Congrats on your scan jmac. That's a great pic!

I had my scan this morning which was fine. Baby growing well, I think a couple of days ahead of last count, but they won't change EDD now. Moving well. The cyst has also grown which is less happy, though at this stage it is just something they watch. If it's still there at the next scan I'll get referred to a consultant which is a pain because (a) Soton hospital is ~1hr drive with traffic, and (b) I hope it won't interfere with my desire to have baby in a midwife led unit.

And so exciting for those of you knowing gender. I was looking at the scan thinking, you know if you're a boy or a girl but we don't know. I can't wait to find out!!

As for the weather - loving it! My parents came down for the day to look after the kids while we went to the scan apt, so we're all off for a swim in the sea this afternoon Grin

crumble74 · 30/06/2015 14:18

Thanks joey! Fingers crossed for you getting that call soon, looks like they have the results available as early as 7 days. Smile

Good to hear more positive scan stories from everyone x

SleepyDragon · 30/06/2015 14:24

Valancy i just about managed to eat my lunch and its stayed down so far but still not feeling great.

Hope you're feeling better too.

SleepyDragon · 30/06/2015 14:33

Congrats Crumble and JMac lovely news for both of you.

MrsF i live in London but i'm originally a Northerner (Yorkshire) so anything above 23 is incredibly tropical, i am also fair and freckly too so i feel your pain!!!

MissMartin yes with the dizziness too.

Joey i had the same think yesterday, i was ok on my way to work then im sure my stomach started expanding - by the time i went to pick DH up from the station i looked about 8 month pregnant - even DH said 'bloddy hell where did that come from' when he got in the car!! lol

Lilliana · 30/06/2015 14:35

Congrats on all the scans. I can't believe you can find out what it is so early. How long has harmony been around? No one had it on my previous a-n thread with DD.

Sickness has pretty much gone but hayfever is killing me - I really want to get DD outside and do some gardening etc but I just feel like I need to curl up inside and take lots of antihistamines (sp?) Sad

Wynsey · 30/06/2015 14:46

I also can't believe you can find out so early!! It's amazing!! I'm so
Jealous!! Grin
Funny moment from last night - my DH said he can really see my bump now - because there's no spare tyre in the middle - it's all jointed up hahahaha how nice!! It's getting a struggle in work to hide it! I can imagine all the bitches in work are saying I look fat!!

Thanks Babybaby - I think I'll invest in a maternity swimsuit! I was wondering why it wasn't fitting me - now makes sense!! The chest bit is very low and high at the legs! Lol xx

SleepyDragon · 30/06/2015 14:59

Wynsey thats what my DH said too, there's no gap anymore its all one bbump/lump lol!

i have the same thing with bitches at work too... roll on next week when i can tell them its not just fat its 13 weeks of babydom and shut them up lol!

Joey0805 · 30/06/2015 15:39

Crumble - my clinic doesn't do results over the phone, they combine giving them in person with an additional scan (in all cases, nothing to do with what the results say) so I defo won't get them before Thursday even though you're right, they must have them there by now. Not long to wait now though!

MissMartin10 · 30/06/2015 15:41

great news on the scans Grin
im lucky when i have to go back to work ill be 12+1 and will be having my scan that week so i won't have to keep it a secret that long. .. ive been off since i was 7+3!!

mrst83 · 30/06/2015 15:57

Hello, newbie here! I am a bit late to the party but finally had my booking in appointment today and is all starting to feel real! I'm 10+6 and due on 20/01/2016. It is my second child, DD1 is 2. And I am from Bristol (waves!)

Annoyingly I haven't got a date yet for my 12 week scan, but hoping to find out soon, getting rather impatient!

Congrats to you all on your lovely scans!

nicnicspicnic · 30/06/2015 16:16

And another newbie here as well - although I'm leaving it a bit late to join. I'm 12+2 going by my latest scan and am only getting my booking in apt this Sat! No 12 wk scan apt yet but I had my harmony test last night and I've already had 3 scans so I've had some reassurance. I have a bet with my sonographer about the sex of the baby. I have 3 boys already and am convinced this one's a boy as well. She reckons that going by the pointy nub bit it's a girl. I'll find out in 10 days but honestly don't mind either way. Good luck to everyone else with their scans.

FizzyPinkWine · 30/06/2015 16:26

Well, we had the scan... It went brilliantly!
Beautiful baby, moving around loads, great strong heartbeat. It was a bit overwhelming.
Great to hear all the other good news! Another girl!!

MissMartin10 · 30/06/2015 16:29

aww great news Fizzy Thanks Congratulations x

Welcome newbies (Waves) Grin

hotcrossbun83 · 30/06/2015 17:23

Congrats on all the scans!

mrsfazruns · 30/06/2015 17:43

Wow loving all the scan updates!! Agree fizzy that it was overwhelming .... Now today bit deflated and have irrational fear about my nuchal screen .... For no reason!! Think I must just be destined to worry from one appointment to the next!

Lookingforadvice123 · 30/06/2015 17:58

Congrats all on the scans, harmony tests and finding out the sex! Can't wait to find out what ours will be but will have to wait until the 20 week scan which I haven't had my letter for yet. Convinced it's not though!

mrsfaz didn't they look at the nuchal fold fjring your scan? I'm sure they would've mentioned it if it was higher than normal, plus you'd be able to see if it was big on the scan pic.

Well at my scan and bloods Thursday morning I asked the phlebotomist when I would get a phone call if I was high risk...she said Monday or Tuesday and here we are and I've heard nothing! Do we all think it's safe to assume that all is ok? I'm irrational and anxious but I can just imagine me relaxing then they ring me tomorrow! The letter comes in the post but not for a couple of weeks. Do all your letters say the risk? Ours in South Wales don't, it just says "low risk". The phlebotomist was lovely and said I could call to ask but part of me thinks it would be more sensible to just stick with "low risk" (assuming mine is)? Because of the type of person I am I can just imagine I'll start analysing it if the risk isn't as low as I'd like (a friend called to ask for hers and it was 1 in 100000 which is so low so I know if mine is say 1 in 1000 I will worry)!
