congrats on the scans mrsfaz and brickie Flowers Amazing when you actually see them isn't it? Especially when you don't have many symptoms.

And kep congrats!!! A girl!!! Grin I know exactly how you feel - I was def expecting another girl. Feel like I have no idea about how to look after a boy baby?! What do they wear?! How do you wash them? Which way up do they go?! Wink DH is so excited about him being a boy, it's quite funny. He doesn't want us to tell anyone in RL about the sex though which I'm going to find really hard.

FizzyPinkWine · 30/06/2015 05:06

Excellent news about the scans yesterday! Got mine at 11.10 this morning. Very scared about another mmc. Hence being awake so early!
Kep, congrats on a girl! It's amazing to find out so early!

brickiemum2 · 30/06/2015 05:48

Good luck today fizzy
Excellent news mrsf it's amazing isn't it when you see them living inside you! My third and I'm still in wonder!

frozenfairy123 · 30/06/2015 06:35

Coffeenut the most important thing with a boy is tucking his wily down in the nappy otherwise they pee out the top!!! Also the minute u take a nappy off they will pee in your face so have cotton wool at the ready. Apart from that boys are just much more active but very cuddly too xx

coffeenut · 30/06/2015 06:41

great tips frozen thank you! Smile
I hope you're doing okay, I'm thinking of you. Have you had your harmony bloods taken?

ValancyJane · 30/06/2015 07:08

Congrats with the scans mrsfaz and brickie and good luck today fizzy

I'm feeling very sorry for myself, 10+5 today and morning sickness is back with a bloody vengeance. Was really sick last night and then again quite violently this morning - just rang sick into work as I feel utterly hideous!! I'm prescribing a day of sofa and some quality time with Jeremy Kyle and Judge Judy (I'm not proud...)

On another note, my current food obsession is ice pops - it's one of the only things that's settling my poor stomach this week!

crumble74 · 30/06/2015 07:16

Great news mrsfaz, how lovely!

Good luck for scan today fizzy

Hope the sickness eases soon valancy

jmac88 · 30/06/2015 07:53

12 week scan today. Wish me luck ladies! Have had minimal symptoms recently so looking forward to seeing that it's still there!
Does anybody have any suggestions for questions to ask that they wish they had?

Also massive congratulations to everybody that has had their scans already. There's a lot of beautiful babes in here!

Xxx

Blackandwhitecat3 · 30/06/2015 08:01

Morning! And congrats on th scans everyone. So lovely to hear about those joining teams pink and blue.

I got a shock last night when a midwife rang me from the hospital (brain was doing overtime at this point - combined nuchal scan on sat...couple of days later, phone call.....eeek!). But, it turned out, the hosp hadn't filled in all the details needed on the paperwork and thy just needed some info off me (mostly about the IVF). She was lovely though. Totally understood my panic and offered to ring me even if it's a low risk result. I declined - don't want a phone call at all.

More SMT crap at work. This time from the Head. Just sick of it now.

Oh and I was really sick last night, just before bed, retching and retching and retching til I cried and shook. Nice! Glad that's over.

Sorry this is such a woe is me post. I shall have to get my new balls out!

Good luck for scans and results today x

Chip86 · 30/06/2015 08:39

Congratulations on all the lovely scans yesterday, and a girl how exciting.
I had my scan yesterday was lovely to see baby moving around and made it very real for both of us all excited now.
New baby clothes go up to 10lb and babies tend to lose weight the first week so might be worth buying 3 sleep suits even if it's just for 4 weeks we only got 0-3 last time and DD looked silly even though she was 8lb 3oz so DM went out and brought some Grin
Mothercare do evenings were they demonstrate all the diffrent pushchairs we went to one last time and found it very helpful we got the bugaboo bee love it but usless off road.
Going to wait to find out if we are having a boy or a girl before buying things for new baby.
And agree with advice above try not to buy clothes you will get loads.
All the best to those having scans today Smile

mrsfazruns · 30/06/2015 08:42

Thanks everyone .... Wish I could see him/her every day!! Good luck today fizzy .... Keep thinking positive and that the chances of you having another MMC is SO small! I was dreading that too as not had that many symptoms! Will be thinking of you!

Made me giggle about advice for boys .... Remember vividly my DS managing to pee over his own head when I took his nappy off!! My dad always forgot to tuck his bits in when changing nappy and he always ended up with a leaky nappy!!

babybabynamechange · 30/06/2015 09:11

Mamas and papas have 75% of maternity clothes if any ones is interested - I just got two swimsuits for £6 each which I'm pleased about as I swim with my toddler every week and am also off to Centre Parks in a couple of weeks - my current swimsuit still fits but as my belly grows the neckline is dropping and the leg holes are raising - not that comfy!

TeenieDeenie · 30/06/2015 09:38

Good luck to Fizzy, Jmac and Aloha for your scans today!

Fizzy having been there I can completely understand how anxious you must feel, got my fingers and toes crossed for you. Smile

Sorry you're still getting crap from your employers B&W, really not what you need at this point in time. Hope you feel better today.

Today holds mixed emotions for me as it's my due date from my last pregnancy. it's weird thinking of what could have been. I am however pregnant again with a healthy little one (as far as I know) this time and am very grateful for that.

OP posts:
mrsfazruns · 30/06/2015 09:48

teenie that's toigh but fx all good for this little one! My EDD for miscarried pregnancy is in 3 weeks and my best friend got her BFP 2 days after me so is on Mat leave with a big bump and a perfect nursery! Don't think I would have coped very well if it wasn't for this little gummy bear x

TeenieDeenie · 30/06/2015 10:02

Yeah, similar situation here mrsfaz, a couple that we are friends with are due on 4th July, so 4 days time. She is on countdown and putting up photos of their finished nursery etc on facebook. It's a strange feeling but so happy for this healthy little one. X

mrsfazruns · 30/06/2015 10:15

Getting BFP with this little one really helped I think! But at scan yesterday they didn't have a phlebotomist to take bloods so I had to go to the EPAU to get them done!! Was weird being back there. And was really conscious that I had scan pics in my hand sitting next to a woman that was miscarrying! Made me a little sad but so greatful at the same time

TeenieDeenie · 30/06/2015 10:23

Awww mrsfaz that's heartbreaking stuff. I went to EPAU for my reassurance scan, same midwife, same room, same machine. It was scary and I was very aware I was sitting amongst others that were probably not as lucky as me that day. But, as you say it makes us so grateful for these healthy little beans we have now! X

mrsfazruns · 30/06/2015 10:55
