Snap Crumble. Was going to invest in a rumble seat..is it not worth it?

I've heard they're hard to get?

OrangeBeehive · 29/06/2015 14:33

Great news on the scan Pug

Our house sale / purchase might be about to fall through...please tell me this stress and anxiety and constantly waiting for the phone to ring isn't going to harm the baby!

Lilliana · 29/06/2015 14:36

loveu we have a vista too - love it. We used it instead of a Moses basket for a few months and the DD was ready to go straight into her cot bed. Love the basket space and as tonic said they sit at table height in coffee shops. DD will be 3 so I'm hoping we can get away with a board and baby in a sling if we really need the buggy for DD rather than a double. Stupid question but how do you do steps with a buggy board on the back?!

kep1979 · 29/06/2015 16:22

orange oh I do feel for you. Buying/selling houses is v stressful. Baby is well insulated from it all... well at least I hope so 'cause we have been having house buying stresses since I conceived! Have been ready to exchange for about a month now.... thought it would happen finally today, but nope apparently tomorrow - aarrgghh. I hope yours all gets sorted soon.

I've finally got my booking in appointment tomorrow! I am sure it will be nothing of note but I've been told to allow 1.5 hours and that is not including any wait beforehand!

And I'm feeling properly sick this afternoon - glad I've had an early finish - I was going to try and do some more stuff from home but having a nap seems preferable Smile

babybabynamechange · 29/06/2015 16:41

My booking appointment took a full 1.5 hrs kep - I was glad that I only had to wait 15mins for them to call me.

Had to do my booking bloods today - they do the NT bloods at the same time in my trust and so took 6 vials, 6!

kep1979 · 29/06/2015 16:42

Just had a call with my harmony results - was very unexpected as it's only been 7 days! All low risk thank goodness, and we are having a little girl!!!! So team pink for us Grin

I am absolutely gobsmacked - I have two boys and have totally assumed that this would be another boy. So was not at all prepared! OMG!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 29/06/2015 16:49

Ooooh kep congrats to you!

I'm sticking with team yellow. DH would like to know but I've told him finding out is not an option! Smile

ValancyJane · 29/06/2015 16:59

Ooh yay, congratulations kep Smile

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 17:14

aww yay kep Grin .. Congratulations Thanks Thanks Thanks

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 17:17

I've always wanted a boy first as i had my little family planned in my head as - boy.. boy Then girl and i thought it was a boy up until i had the scan now i can't help thinking its a girl. .. as long as its healthy im happy Grin

SleepyDragon · 29/06/2015 17:21

Congrats Kep lovely news!

I always wanted a girl but since having our nephew around I wanted a boy instead.... Lol!

Either way we'll find out at week 20 and be chuffed Grin

brickiemum2 · 29/06/2015 17:27

Congratulations kep lovely news.

I had a lovely scan this morning Smile mw spent ages showing me all of baby's features, limbs, cord, heart, brain etc. She kept congratulating me as well. Baby measures at 12+2 at the minute when my dates were only 11+4. If it's still the same story at my dating scan them my edd might get brought forward a bit.

kep1979 · 29/06/2015 17:31

Aawww brickie glad the scan went well.

We are still in shock. We were so convinced Bean would be a he-bean! Got to get my head around it. I don't know what to do with a girl! At least on the name front we should be fine - we both agree on a girl's name (although I still want a list to choose from)!

Joey0805 · 29/06/2015 17:35

Kep - oh yay! Congrats on everything being well, that's great news... And a girl, eek!! DH and I can't wait to find out on Thursday!!

Phizpop · 29/06/2015 17:37

Congrats to those with scans and harmony results. Our scan still feels sooooo far away (11 days.... Im not counting at all!) was at an event yesterday, so many times I could have said "I'm pregnant" or "I'll have baby by then (all being well)"!

Not even started to look at buying things (although did just look up the vista out of interest... We are on a tight budget so will be hoping for lots of second hand finds... )

aliquid · 29/06/2015 17:51

Lovely news kep! We're team yellow. We were with DS even though I just 'knew'. When DH told me we had a son in delivery room I wasn't surprised! Gut saying girl this time but think it's because I'd like to see what that's like!

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 18:01

wonderful news brickie so pleased for you Grin

crumble74 · 29/06/2015 20:21

Oh wow kep, that's great & so quick as well. Can't wait for my results now, hope they're ok. I am also pretty much convinced it'll be another boy so good to hear you can get a good surprise!

Good to hear your scan went well brickie!

tonic I read the pre-2015 Vista rumble seat isn't great at all... We're now looking into getting a whole new double system. Need inspiration!

Wynsey · 29/06/2015 20:21

I am So.......... Impatient!!! I'm 9+5 and feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER!!!! I'm so jealous of everyone having scans and even finding out the gender!! Sad I don't get my scan until 22nd - I'll be 12+5 by then. Can't come quick enough!!
I've been looking into my maternity pay today - looks like I'll be back after 6months. How do people manage 9mths-1year. So jealous!
Also heard about a Sure Start Maternity Grant for First time mums and mothers of twins - you need to get some sort of benefit but it's £500 so really good.
I defo have a growing bump! Went shopping on Sat and spent a small fortune but boy it was worth it to be comfy at last!!!
My boobs are still the sorest in the world, lost my appetite & keep randomly being sick in my mouth (sorry tmi) but no nausea or sickness really. Is it not an old wives tale that if u have a good pregnancy - u have a terrible birth??!!! Confused
Thanks for the tips about exercising. I've been careful at the gym and I loved swimming. I want to stay active but I'm worried about people staring at me!! People can be so opinionated!

Had a quick nosey at the Vista pram some have been talking about - looks good - so many colours and so many other prams! How do people decide??!!

Anyway - Good Luck to all the lucky people having scans!! Xx

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 20:37

swimming is great when ur pg isnt it wynsey the weightlessness of my boobs is my favour part haha! Grin
i might go tomorrow now

TeenieDeenie · 29/06/2015 21:07

Kep Yay for team pink, we have one of each now on the bus! Smile

Brickie Fab scan news!

Wynsey I'm up the back of the bus with you at 9+4. The weeks seem to take forever don't they?! I wonder if they'll speed up a little once we've had our 12 week scans!

So I got my scan date today, 2 weeks today and I'll be 11+4 going by last scan. I thought that was too early for the nuchal measurement but apparently it's 11 weeks to 13+6... Is it weird I still feel a bit nervous about it being taken before 12 weeks?

Loving all the shopping chat, this is my first so a lot of good recommendations and tips! Still won't be buying anything until after my 12 week scan though, too nervous!

My OH has agreed to start swimming with me once a week. Even if he only comes for a few weeks it'll get me started and stop me feeling so paranoid. If I can get a swimming session and a few walks in a week, I'll be happy with that. My body shape is really changing... At night I just look massively fat and feel very unattractive. When does the extreme bloating ease?

hotcrossbun83 · 29/06/2015 21:37

Wynsey - I'm not sure but last time I had a tough first trimester, easy later pregnancy, easy birth (maybe not easy... It wasn't terrible)

We have the uppababy vista too. I REALLY want to sell it and buy the new one so it can be a proper double, but I suspect dh won't agree. It's a great buggy though

mrsfazruns · 29/06/2015 21:49

Awesome news on all the scan and harmony results! I got a bit emotional at my scan can't believe the difference from my 6 week scan!! Measuring 13 weeks and she commented on how active it was .... Even has a little stretch and saw it full length!! It's amazing that there is a real human in there!! Went for a nap this afternoon and DH kept waking me up to say "we are having a baby" think it really hit him seeing it right there kicking away!!

As for buying stuff .... MIL today said she is buying our pram so I'm pretty pleased! Then DH took me to mamas and papas (amazing sale at the mo) and put a deposit on cot and changing unit! I know it seems a bit early but could let a 60% off deal go past and the deposit is fully refundable! So excited now! Only 28 (ish) weeks to go to meet!

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 22:20

aww mrsfaz so cute Grin .. its amazing isn't it

mrsfazruns · 29/06/2015 22:54
