Mrs faz-good luck with the scan. I was the same last time and got into such a state about it. Try and sleep well and enjoy seeing your little bean

MissMartin10 · 28/06/2015 23:08

goodluck mrsfaz Grin x

coffeenut · 29/06/2015 03:05

Good luck mrsfaz I'm sure it will be fine!! Also good luck aloha cubano and fizzy for scans in the next few days!

I think it was oyster who said she was buying late - probably a good idea if you don't have much space. Baby paraphernalia takes up a lot of room. I think we waited until about 30 weeks (was also a bit superstitious to be honest!). The only thing is, if you buy popular items new from somewhere like say John Lewis, you may have a wait on the order. Friends of ours had to wait over 10 weeks for their Bugaboo and it only arrived well after baby was born. We ordered an ICandy Cherry (loved it, still have it and going strong!) and took at least a few months (granted, this was over Christmas though for a March baby). We also have a phil and teds double which we used a lot.

We bought all new for DD1. Will need a whole lot of new non-pink clothes for this bub which is going to get expensive.

Thanks everyone!! Wide awake again at 5am with excitement/anticipation .... Glad IVE got an early appointment

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 29/06/2015 06:14

Just had the worst night's sleep EVER! DH was tossing, turning and snoring ALL night. If he's like this again tonight I'm not responsible for my actions! Just hoping work isn't horribly busy today so plenty of rest time.

Good luck to everyone having scans today! I'm sure it'll take me ages to catch up on everything this evening Smile

brickiemum2 · 29/06/2015 06:36

Good luck mrsf I've also got a scan this morning at 11am.

mrsfazruns · 29/06/2015 06:38

brickie let us know!! Mine is at 0850! I've worked myself up into a bucket of nerves!!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 29/06/2015 06:39

Ooh, good luck MrsFaz!

Hope for your DH's own safety he learns not to snore MaybeMrs. I just prod mine.

Moonshine I'm short and quite tiny - usually size 8 (bottom half, massive boobs make size 8 tops a giggle). DH is just under average height. I was a tiny 6lb baby born in 3 hours, hoping for but not realistically something similar. As I'm petite I guess there's nowhere for anything to go other than outwards. Also, I have definitely put on some fat on my belly and bum, even though I've lost weight - think it's my body going "ooh, pregnant, better store something".

Thanks for the tip about 10 week delivery coffee

Blackandwhitecat3 · 29/06/2015 06:41

And Tonic, if you read what the mw said to me Sat, keep those stomach muscles slack!

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 08:02

goodluck with the scans Thanks

i just hold my dp's nose and he soon stops Grin

Rollermum · 29/06/2015 08:14

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've missed so much if this thread and the last one. Welcome to all the newcomers and good luck to everyone getting scans today.

I've been out of action with flu the past week (not fun). My morning sickness is worse than ever. Am 11+2 and hoping it eases soon. Anyone get worse before it got better? So much worse than with DD I am paranoid there is more than one in there...

crumble74 · 29/06/2015 09:05

Good luck on your scans today mrsfaz & brickie!

tonic We had the NCT co-sleeper and once DS outgrew the Moses basket he was very happy in there. I didn't have it attached to the bed though but it was great having him so close. We always had the flaps up when he was asleep and he was always on his back for sleeping. I think the accident that prompted the recall was an unfortunate tragedy that could have been prevented. I don't see that the bednest itself is dangerous.

mrschatty · 29/06/2015 09:20

Good luck for today mrsfaz and brickie
I'm going to be M.i.a for a while I'm off on holiday with v sparse wifi availability...

Speak to you all in 11 days good luck everyone!

OrangeBeehive · 29/06/2015 09:45

Good luck for all scans today and enjoy your holiday mrschatty! Flowers

MissMartin10 · 29/06/2015 09:54

have a great holiday!!

loveulotslikejellytots · 29/06/2015 10:42

Overdone some research on prams etc and I think we're going for an Uppababy Vista travel system. I walk my dog twice a day on pavements and along the (paved) sea front for a couple of hours a day. This looks pretty good, good suspension, seat unit is very spacious and the basket is huge. Plus the handle adjusts for DH, the cot can be used for overnight sleeping and it folds down pretty small if I'm storing it folded in the house. Although I doubt that will last long.

I don't think we're buying too much as I'm a bit wary, but realistically we need to spread the cost out as much as we can. My parents and the in-laws have offered to buy some things, not sure what but both mums are desperate to go shopping!

loveulotslikejellytots · 29/06/2015 10:42

Overdone?? I've done.. Bloody autocorrect!

EdgarAllenPoe · 29/06/2015 10:43

Not even thinking of shopping for the baby although I did buy myself some new bras as the old ones were becoming unbearable. Life is MUCH better now! I'm hoping the family will want to buy us some bits and bobs when we finally tell them as this will be the first grandchild on both sides.

Got my scan on Thursday afternoon, I think this week is going to draaaaag.

Pugmumlondon · 29/06/2015 10:56

Morning all.

I caved and had a private scan on sat. All fine and dandy. Baby was moving around, having a stretch and heartbeat located. Absolutely bang on 10 weeks and size wise also bang on. Feeling SO much more relaxed now as scan isn't until I'm 12+6. So now feeling far more chilled.

However, just had first episode of workplace vomiting.
I nearly barfed on the tube and just made to the loo at the office. So not subtle. Hey ho.

Good luck with the scans all! Xx

kep1979 · 29/06/2015 11:20

pug that is good news! Good luck for all the other scans today - looking forward to seeing some more pics.

I stopped wearing my seabands as nausea seemed to be better - regretting it now. So am chomping on crackers to try and keep it at bay. Only working until 2pm today so not much longer to wait!

SleepyDragon · 29/06/2015 11:24

Good luck to all you yummy mummies to be on todays scans!

My lovely MIL has said they will buy whichever buggy we choose as they did the same for my SIL and my Mum wants to buy the highchair for us.

Everything else we'll get oursleves or borrow from friends hopefully. Luckily DH gets ?100 vouchers every quarter as a bonus at work and they can be used in mothercare as well as loadfs of other baby related shops Grin

I felt really really sick and tired yesterday, although i think the tiredness was more to do with spedning the whole of saturday at the festival (btw why did noone warn me that too many blue slush puppies makes 'things' turn green!!!!Shock)

sickness lasted all day though, and hasn't really eased today so far, 11+4 today.

Really not looking forward to Wednesday when its due to be 34 degrees.... my office is unbearable!

Tonicandgin · 29/06/2015 12:05

Jellytots-we have a vista! Bought it for dd, and never regretted it. She wasn't much of a pram fan, but that was more because she preferred being cuddled and looking out. But seat bit is great as its high and so i didn't always have to get her out of it in coffee shops etc, just gave her toys and she sat at table height. Massive basket is amazing too.

loveulotslikejellytots · 29/06/2015 12:27

That sounds good tonic. The only other one I can find that looks similar us the iCandy Peach. I really don't see the point in spending more on the same kind if thing. I like that everything is included in the package with the vista. And the 2015 colours are lovely! DH is excited because there is an Arsenal red Grin

crumble74 · 29/06/2015 12:53

loveu I have a Vista too! Can't recommend it highly enough. It's so comfortable to push around and the storage underneath is a life saver. I'm just sad that the pre-2015 version is pants at adapting to a tandem, I would love to use it with 2.

pug Great news on the scan!

TeenieDeenie · 29/06/2015 13:45
