Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 31st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 49th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

Was just showing nursery pics to show you can get a 'proper' sized tree if you look for long enough if these things bother you, as they did me! :)

DulcetMoans · 28/06/2015 21:28

That's so much better zyla! A full sized tree. I will have to think through what I will do with my stubby trees first. Haven't really decided!

OP posts:
ZylaB · 28/06/2015 21:41

dulcet can you pretend they're full sized but a long way away? Grin Grin

DulcetMoans · 28/06/2015 21:44

I guess to the baby they could look full sized as it will be quite small and across the room...

WilHarlot · 28/06/2015 21:59

Grin Grin Grin to the tree perspective. I will post a pic on fb tomorrow when Mini is up Dulcet. Ours is very pink and girly just because it matched the room and we couldn't be arsed to redecorate but you can get it in other colours too. I like the quality of them and they look nice so worth it in that sense but probably depends how much spare cash you have lying around. Certainly not a necessity. And La wouldn't like them as the animals aren't their proper colours Wink . I can't post a link on here but it's the tinyme woodland range.

WilHarlot · 28/06/2015 22:01

And that thread feels like a lifetime ago!

Toast85 · 28/06/2015 22:11

Oh cripes you'd all hate our wallpaper- it's got pink and orange and turquoise elephants, trees that are smaller than the elephants, and birds that are half the size of the trees. I love it though :)

We have a crib- not a sidecar type but we're going to have it alongside the bed. Not getting a Moses basket. Teething rails on cot beds- useful? Any issues if the cot doesn't have them, other than a dented cot if baby starts gnawing? Makes me think of a hamster chewing its cage!

oneyorkshirepud · 28/06/2015 22:37

Oooooh Zyla your tree has OWLS in it! obsessed with the current owl trend do you have a link to where you got your stickers from?

Purpleball · 28/06/2015 22:42

Toast our cotbed doesn't have teething rails. I'm sure you can buy them though if they become necessary.

I've just opened a box and found a Medela swing electric pump, a tommee tippee freedom pump, and a Kari me sling wrap Smile
Oh and 9 Moses basket sheets!
This is in addition to what I found earlier in all the stuff from my brother.
I need to buy them something, I'm not sure what but I need to do something to show our appreciation.

Niffertiti · 28/06/2015 22:48

Wow zyla, that's a beautiful nursery! I do love la's monkeys in trees too - I've looked at those stickers on Amazon but am intimidated by the fact they come all squished together in the wrong shape and you have to put them together right yourself. Isn't that a bit fiddly not known for my patience

Dulcet I think I'm just going to have to stuck with Tuesday, I'm out of the country next week and I'm bang on 12 weeks today. We were planning on using the rest of tomorrow to do baby shopping - need to get it done in the next few weeks before DH moves overseas (I'm following a couple of months later). I wanted to have done the scan first for reassurance, but I've persuaded myself since everything was fine at 7 and 9 week scans and I still seem enormous pregnant I can do baby shopping still.

I went maternity shopping today. Either I'm grossly fat or my bump is making an appearance. I'm hugeBlush. I'm surprised - I'm 5'7, have a really long body and have hips as wide as a supertanker. I'd have thought there was loads of room in there...

gaggiagirl · 28/06/2015 23:19

Niff you do know that this new information means we shall require a bumpie dont you?

LaLaLaaaa · 29/06/2015 03:28

Owwwww
Heartburn
Fanjo stabby
Prickly bump pain
Reflux

batfish · 29/06/2015 04:35

Oh no la that doesn't sound fun all at once! And at that time in the morning!

My friend had a swingy crib next to her bed for her baby that she is going to lend us as she is planning to out her baby in her own room in a few weeks, it's a lovely white one - not one of the ones with only 3 sides but saves us having to buy one and she has got on fine with it.

DulcetMoans · 29/06/2015 07:01

I look forward to seeing wil, I need inspiration!

That's very nice of your brother purple, would some flowers and a card be enough or you want to do more? You can get them a meal out or something?

Didn't even know teething rails were a thing toast! I am guessing not essential...? Glad you made it out of town!

Does that mean today is still baby shopping day niff? What you buying?!

Heartburn has been back here this week to la. Popping my rennies like a crack head - maybe I can call the baby rennie! What's the prickly bump pain? Is that heat related or something else?

OP posts:
jellypi3 · 29/06/2015 07:25

Morning viroids.

niff exciting baby shopping!!

purple your brother sounds very generous.

Not much happening with me. I'm a bit emotional (watched some old re-runs of glee yesterday and was in tears!). Got my booking Blood tests today (they don't do them at the appointment round here).

LaLaLaaaa · 29/06/2015 08:26

Morning everyone! Catching up...

JC that sounds like you felt your baby Grin it feels like bubbles or butterflies at first at end it feels like something's beating you up from inside and those first few feelings are just incredible

Chat I can understand why you'd want to get pg again as soon as possible. I hope these next few weeks pass as quickly as possible so you can start again. Are you back in Belgium now? Baby resus must be an extremely tough dept to work in, but also very rewarding when things go right and you're as to save a child's life.

I know where you're all coming from with the stickers! I refused any unrealistic coloured animals and refused to put the palm trees up because they were not to scale with the animals. A headless giraffe would probably finish me off! Ha! Just saw your post about animals wil - I would not approve indeed! Wink

Niff that's annoying about your scan! Grrr! Our stickers were from eBay and came with pic to show design to copy.

Bat - that doesn't sound like you're going to have much time just you dh and baby. Can you ask folk to stay elsewhere?

We have cotbed and it is for up to 4 years old. We have a snuzpod next to bed with drop side so co-sleeper. It's very well made and very slim, the slimmest on the market - so fits our very limited space. Chicco and bednest were both too wide.

I'm wondering about poddlepod. My friend has the cocoonababy and raves about it but they are £100. Sleepyhead is £120.

Poddlepod is £35 but will he grow out of it quickly? I don't have much money left and don't want to buy stuff without having good reason. My friend says I simply MUST get cocoonababy type thing as its amazing but I already have swing chair, bouncer, snuzpod and cotbed plus carry cot for buggy. How many things does a baby need to sleep in??

Zyla do you have snuzpod? Do you lift top off and take it downstairs? Or do you transfer baby?

The incident with bednest was sad but I read the report. The couple had it set at wrong angle, left side down and baby unaccompanied. All of which the instructions say not to do. I feel so sorry for them. But it's so important to read instructions, we have instruction booklets for everything even 2nd hand stuff. You can ask manufacturer and they email you it.

News from me - hips feel like two bones rubbing together at night. Excruciating! Didn't sleep well due to heartburn and nose bleeds. I'm getting dull ache like period pain off and on and stabby pain occasionally but I think it's baby kick rather than anything else.

Getting bit fed up now. 38 weeks tomorrow

batfish · 29/06/2015 08:34

la I've gone a bit mad and have bought cocoonababy and sleepyhead! My friend has both as borrowed them from another friend and thinks they are both great - however I got the cocoonababy second hand for 40 quid and the sleepyhead from a deal website with 35 quid off so pretty much got both for the price of 1 so I don't feel too frivolous!

ZylaB · 29/06/2015 08:57

la it's the chicco next2me, we bring H upstairs while she's awake and do cluster feeding on the bed before she goes to sleep :). She sleeps on her bouncer if downstairs, or in the floor, or us if that's where she goes to sleep!

pud they were from this shop they have plenty of full sized trees and animals :)

honeysucklejasmine · 29/06/2015 08:57

I felt a little bit sick this morning, but was also very hungry. So not sure!

Getting anxious already about whether there is anything growing in me. I don't want an early scan. A friend had one which was inconclusive so it ramped her anxiety up 100% and she still had to wait till 22 weeks for a definite answer. (It wasn't good Sad ) I just want time to go faster so I can be 12 weeks already. That's not too much to ask, is it?

ZylaB · 29/06/2015 08:58

*on the floor, not in it..that'd just be weird!

Niffertiti · 29/06/2015 08:59

ga I'll do a bumpie tomorrow after the scan when I know it really is baby not fat. It is blatantly 80% fat and at most 20% baby at this point but I've been googling bump pics at 12 weeks this morning and have persuaded myself there are plenty of bumps out there which look like mine...

JC how exciting for baby movements! That must feel like a real milestone!

jelly we're mostly going to decide what we want today rather than buy. We're going to babiesrus. Holy cow! I then need to update my complex spreadsheet and decide what we get export packed for shipping and what we air freight. So bloody complicated... It does mean I just won't be buying a lot of things which are nice to haves! Microniff had better be a straightforward baby! so obviously tempting fate

la at least it's not long now til you get a squishy baby! Hang in there...

Fleurchamp · 29/06/2015 09:56

niff I was all bloat at 12 weeks. Fortunately it was around the beginning of January and so just about acceptable. I then went back to normal for a few weeks before the "is she pregnant or fat" stage. There was a definite bump after about 20 weeks.

We have a sleepyhead. It was my nephew's. My sister put it in her washing machine (as I was nervous about the mattress sharing thing) and I have bought new covers - I am perfectly happy to use it. I figure the baby will be able to sleep in this on the floor/ sofa during the day and at night in the bednest.

Other plans for day time nappage include the pram - I refuse to buy anything else for the baby to sleep in.

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling great la I am struggling a bit today with the heat. I did my usual 1 mile walk to the shops but have had to take a rest in the cafe before going back as it is so hot, I may even get the bus.

I must finish packing my hospital bag today - 37 weeks!!

Pisghetti · 29/06/2015 10:00

Sleepyhead is £99 on Amazon - they do keep their value really well though. They were £80 when I got mine and second hand would have only saved me about a tenner. It might be one of those things that's best left until baby is here though so you know if they'll sleep ok without it. DP isn't too keen on it as he thinks she looks squashed. Yeah that's kinda the point you numpty.

Sounds like you might not be waiting too much longer La Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 29/06/2015 10:37

Honey try not to worry - best bit of advice I had at your stage (which might have come from a grad actually) was that worrying about it is not going to change the outcome. Try to keep busy. It's not a fun 12 weeks though I agree! I remember complaining about lack of symptoms at 7 weeks. At 7.5 weeks MS hit me like a tidal wave Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 29/06/2015 10:41

Niff have fun prospective shopping! That's the fun bit!

I might see how baby gets on. We have swaddling stuff, snuzpod and swing chair. If he doesnt sleep I'll get something else

Got a stitch in right hand side and belly feels prickly and funny. I feel like I need a poo all the time
