Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Thanks dobby and everyone else. Obviously I'm delighted to be expecting again, but I'm just finding it hard to believe in it, want to make any plans or think about it much, because I feel so sure it'll be taken away from me again. I don't really have any symptoms either. #anxious!

ImGoingForATwix · 27/06/2015 10:32

It's the Icandy peach 2 smallbird. I could get the conversion kit to turn it into a double on eBay I think, save me spending a fortune on something that I may not use much.

dobbythedoggy · 27/06/2015 22:38

Seems like I might have thrush...avoided it until almost the end when pregnant with dd. Will be counting down the hours until the gp surgery opens monday morning. Think I might get a referal to epau much sooner than I expected, now I have a reason not to wait to see my named gp.

LaraNotCroft22 · 28/06/2015 09:59

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages dobby and goneswimming it must be awful Hmm

I haven't experienced that but still have the anxiety of these first few weeks...

The sooner I get to eight weeks, then twelve the better.

Currently 4+ 5/6 had a cry last night for no reason, must be the hormones! Also boobs starting to hurt, backache and feeling tired.

For those of us one their second - are you finding these early stages the same of different to last time? Just curious. Last time for me boobs sore earlier I think, but less bloating. Nausea hit me at eight weeks.

Fingers crossed so hard for all of us!

Lucy61 · 28/06/2015 11:31

Can I hop aboard. Got a series of very faint lines on internet cheapies but this morning when I tested with fmu, there was nothing. So, I decided to bring out the big guns and a first response test confirmed it with a clear line!

I too had a missed miss carriage (April just gone). This was after 18 months of ttc and taking clomid. This pregnancy is a pleasant surprise as we'd said we'd take a break and didn't take any clomid.

I feel just as much scared as I feel happy.

Herewegoagain31 · 28/06/2015 11:52

Lucy congratulations! I'm so sorry to hear of the miscarriages though. It must be so heartbreaking and make the anxiety of these new pregnancies even more. I have only had my pregnancy with DD which thankfully ended well but I'm so aware of the risk of something happening in these early weeks so I am trying to keep my hopes and excitement in check for now. I didn't sleep a wink before my 12 week scan last time as I was so scared of discovering a mmc and I will be the same this time im sure!

And Lara so far I feel the same this time round I think. No real symptoms so far apart from tiredness (I've been preparing this morn for friends coming round for a BBQ at lunchtime and I'm just having to lie down for a minute now as I am knackered!) My sickness/feeling awful didn't start till 6 weeks so I am bracing myself for that!

ImGoingForATwix · 28/06/2015 12:33

Welcome Lucy and Irritated. The bus is starting to fill up! ????

Same as herewego, I'm feeling the same as last time. I'm more tired than usual but not overwhelmingly so (yet!) and no nausea yet. I'll be expecting it soon though.

Candlefairy101 · 28/06/2015 14:22

Anyone got any symptoms yet? What are they? I still have no idea how far I'm gone, but I just remembered I had a one day period so now I'm confused (really wish I tracked my periods Confused)

Candlefairy101 · 28/06/2015 14:27

Also ladies this is goingb to sound so bad but I'm full of anxiety because I haven't had a miscarriage yet (sorry for those who have I don't mean to be insensitive ) and I keep thinking that surly it's going to happen to me soon, I'm on my 3rd pregnancy now and just keep thinking 'right this is goingb to be the time) I've heard that all women experience this sad experience at least once in their life time Sad is this true or can you go through life never experiencing . I'm really sorry ladies to bring up this horrible subject but I'm just so paranoid and keep thinking it's my turn? X

IrritatedPartyOf1 · 28/06/2015 16:23

The symptoms I have are cramping in my lower abdomen, back ache, tiredness, dizziness, craving sweets and I have nausea literally from conception also have heartburn.
I'm 4 weeks, lots of people have no symptoms try not to worry too much.

IrritatedPartyOf1 · 28/06/2015 16:26

Thanks for the welcome twix Smile

LaraNotCroft22 · 28/06/2015 20:26

Welcome Lucy and Irritated!

Candle, I don't think a miscarriage is something every woman goes through, and you should try and take your two successful pregnancies as a positive not as a sign you're 'due one' if you know what I mean.

It is totally normal to worry though, I will all the way through, then about the baby when it's born, and as they get older.... It never ends Wink

Try and remember that the majority of pregnancies from the point we are all at are successful. This link is helpful if you are worried about the stats.

ImGoingForATwix · 28/06/2015 20:32

Candle, could you do one of those tests that tell you how far along you are?

Candlefairy101 · 28/06/2015 20:38

Thank you lara ur right I'm being a twit, it's totally the wrongn way to be thinking but to stop me from always getting heart Brocken I always think of the worst Sad twix how far along max can those test show? Because my last period was one day (tmi but still needed a tampon) I have no idea if that is what they call spotting ? I could be a further 4 weeks than u thought? I'm thinking anywhere between end of January to beginning of March? I'm going to tell the doctor tomorrow about my last odd period just invade she's like me to have scan and tell midwife earlier? What you think ladies? X sorry all these questions you'd think I know more by my 3rd lol x

ImGoingForATwix · 28/06/2015 21:25

Candle, the clear blue one will tell you 1-2, 2-3 or 3+ weeks from conception, so would at least give you an idea if it was your last cycle or a previous one. Sounds like you maybe had an implantation bleed with the 1 day period, but worth speaking to your mw.

Lucy61 · 28/06/2015 23:02

Thanks for the welcomes.

Re being 'due a miscarriage' - from a statistical point of view, the probability of having a miscarriage is the same for ppl who have had a previous miscarriage and those who haven't. Unless, of course, the miscarriage was due to a medical condition eg weak cervix etc.

It's a bit like me putting 4 apples and one orange in a bag and saying pick one. The chances of picking an orange are the same no matter who picks it!

tapismagique · 29/06/2015 07:41

Just done a test a couple of hours ago - BFP! Now wondering whether I should tell DH immediately or wait until I've been to the doctor? It's the first time for me, and I think it's super-early so I don't want to get his hopes up...or is that silly??

Lucy61 · 29/06/2015 07:53

Tell him! Where I live, you don't get seen by the doctor. They give you a booking appt with a midwife and you go through paperwork and medical history etc. This is not till after a few weeks time.

tapismagique · 29/06/2015 07:56

thanks Lucy61! As soon as I found out I went for a swim hoping I'd know what to do by the time I got home but I'm too indecisive!

Candlefairy101 · 29/06/2015 09:23

I'm useless at keeping this kind of thing to myself, I was going to tell my husband for Father's Day but I just splurged it out the second he got in the door lol xx

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 29/06/2015 11:20

Hi all

I just got a feint BFP an hour ago!! Eek! Waiting for DH to come home from work at lunchtime to tell him!! Calculated I'd be due on the 10th of March!

My 2nd baby, my LG is only 11 months so we will have a 19 month gap which I'm nervous about but it made sense for us to have them close together!

So happy!

LaraNotCroft22 · 29/06/2015 13:20

Welcome tapis and smirking!

What a lovely busy bus we are now getting :-)
