Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Hi all! AF not due till Thursday but I've had about 15 positive pregnancy tests since 10dpo and they are getting darker every day! By my estimation I'm due 2nd/3rd of March 2016. I have one little girl already.

happyendings345 · 23/06/2015 15:48

Hi everyone
I also got my bfp approx 5 weeks and think I am due at beginning of March. Had midwife call today to book me in for 8 weeks app . It's in the summer hols and my husband as offered to come. Is it worth him coming to the first app or not. First pregnancy x

Littledancer13 · 23/06/2015 16:40

Happy - I wouldn't bother to be honest, it's just paperwork, taking blood and weigh you. To be honest I didn't bother with DH coming to midwife appointments only the scans, it's much easier!! X

happyendings345 · 23/06/2015 17:00

Thanks... I was nt bothered about him coming but he is off work anyway. And usually is nt one to offer so did nt want to just dismiss it. Will tell him what it's likely to be though x

Candlefairy101 · 23/06/2015 18:02

With my 1st I couldn't keep my husband away! I'm now on my 3rd and I think he's actually forgot I'm pregnant ????

ImGoingForATwix · 23/06/2015 18:17

With my 1st dc Dh just came to the scans, although it may be nice for him to attend the later midwife appointments where you hear the heartbeat Smile. The first is mainly paperwork if I remember correctly. If you do want to bring him, check it's ok first as they ask about domestic violence at the first appointment I think (and they may want you on your own for that).

Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 18:38

Hello all new people and congratulations on all the positives!! I've just calculated my due date again and now it's coming up as 27th Feb so I'm confused. My last period was 23 May and so that makes me now 4+3 and due 27th feb - not 1st March as I originally came up with, I think I must've used a dodgy website! Happyendings if you are 5 weeks already you must be a very late February too as that would be a due date before me

OP posts:
Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 18:40

Does anyone know how to make one of those stats documents so we can add our details and due dates to keep up with everyone? We had one from my last DD's mumsnet group when I was pregnant but I have no idea how to do it!

OP posts:
Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 18:41

Oh and having had no symptoms so far I feel rubbish today - well just this afternoon actually - I was at the park with DD in the sun and felt sick and lightheaded and exhausted all of a sudden. Still feel awful but at least it's nearly bedtime for her and I can lie down!

OP posts:
happyendings345 · 23/06/2015 19:45

Herewegoagain my last period was 19th May but I have pcos and really long cycles. Midwife said to call it 5 weeks to make sure scan is early not late. So that would make it end of Feb. But I think I am more likely 4 weeks and beginning of March. Either way... wait and see

Phoenix80 · 23/06/2015 20:33

I was just trying to work out my dates too, although I have no period to go on (pcos and very irregular periods and ovulation) the clearblue digital said I'm 3+ weeks and the instructions said that would make me 5+ weeks now so if I am at least 5-6 weeks then I'm also due in February not March.

I didn't see a doctor today but I have had a sample sent off for testing so I will have confirmation on Thursday then I'll have to fill a form in and wait for a midwife to contact me.

Hope everyone's feeling ok x

LaraNotCroft22 · 23/06/2015 21:24

Hello all the new bfp's!! Congratulations!

I'm currently 4 weeks, tests getting darker so praying for a sticky one.

I'm also a pcos sufferer with long cycles, though weirdly going by my ov sticks this cycle would have actually been around the 30 day mark.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 21:42

phoenix that's exciting - quite nice to be further along before realising! I've known since 9DPO so feel like I've been pregnant for ages even though I've only just missed my period!

Does anyone else feel sick yet? I'm wondering if I actually have mild food poisoning. I had some chicken in a sandwich for lunch that I cooked the night before last and has been in the fridge since then (so 1 and a half days old).. wouldnt have thought of it but it's just odd I felt fine this morning and since late afternoon rubbish. Nauseous tummy a bit sore. I can't remember when I started to feel ill last time but it seems v early at 4+3. Wondered if anyone was feeling similar yet? Seriously hope it's not food poisoning, that can't be good for the baby

OP posts:
Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 21:46

And happyendings that's good to be able to have a bit of an early scan either way! Waiting for the scan always seems to be the longest time worrying whether everything is ok in there

OP posts:
ImGoingForATwix · 23/06/2015 22:29

I wonder if any of us will have a leap year baby on 29th Feb!

No nausea here yet. Think it hit at around 6/7 weeks last time. Feeling tired though.

purplecat27 · 23/06/2015 22:42

Congratulations to all of the new BFPers!

Here I'm 4+3 and have been feeling intermittently nauseous for the last 3 days. I don't know if it's because I know I'm pregnant so my brain is making me feel sick because it thinks I should be... I've known since 9dpo as well, got my BFP on Friday Smile. I hope you feel better soon if it is food-related.

Lara I've taken 6 tests so far and they've been getting steadily darker so I'm hoping so hard for a sticky! It seems once you start peeing on sticks it's hard to stop!

I'm planning a private early scan at about 8 1/2 weeks if all is well up to then (FC soo hard), anyone else planning an early scan or had one before? (This is my first pregnancy Grin).

Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 23:13

Well my sickness seems to have got much less since I had supper so I'm thinking it probably isn't food poisoning just pregnancy sickness. This is much earlier than my last pregnancy :( I was thinking this morning how fine and not pregnant I was feeling so probably serves me right for speaking too soon! Anyway note to self not to let myself get hungry as I guess that must've been the cause.

purplecat I am exactly the same as you 4+3 so we must be due date buddies on 27th! I'm not having a very early scan but am tempted to have the harmony test at 10 weeks as that involves a scan as well as doing the downs blood test I might also be justifying it just so I can find out the gender early!

OP posts:
Herewegoagain31 · 23/06/2015 23:17

I read though that a good scan with a strong heartbeat after 7 weeks is a very positive sign for a healthy pregnancy so if you do get a scan at 8 1/2 weeks and all is well it would be great to put your mind at rest early rather than having to wait till 12 weeks!

OP posts:
purplecat27 · 23/06/2015 23:34

Here I think my due date is 1st March, but I used the due date calculator on the NHS website which factors in cycle length rather than just LMP. My usual cycle length would be about 30 days and I ov'd on cd17 or 18 so I think that would be about right.

If I do have an early scan that will be in about 4 weeks time, which feels like forever right now! I'm most likely going to have an ELCS if all goes to plan, due to a heart condition, so I'll know my delivery date in advance. I'm not planning to find out the sex because I want a bit of a surprise!

I don't know very much about the harmony test, am I right in thinking that it has to be done in London?

Herewegoagain31 · 24/06/2015 10:18

Oh I see, I OV'd on cd 15 so I guess that's why my due date is a couple of days earlier. I had an ELCS last time due to a back injury and it certainly is nice to know your exact due date in advance!
I don't know much about the harmony test, i didn't have it last time. I just know a friend had it done and found out her baby's gender at 11 weeks! Obviously that's not the main purpose of it which is to check for Down's syndrome and a few other genetic issues. There are a lot of places that do it in London (I am in London) so it's easy to access for me. I guess it's not so easy in other areas of the UK.
I had the worst stomach burning and discomfort all last night, only managed about 3 hours sleep so am feeling less than ideal today. I'm wondering if my nausea and then the stomach pain (v bad indigestion?) might be because of a new pregnancy vitamin I started taking yesterday that might've made my stomach sore. I can't think of anything else. Anyway, am not taking it again today just in case!

Are any of you taking a multivitamin? Which one are you taking?

OP posts:
Candlefairy101 · 24/06/2015 10:24

Hi, I'm scared to take any vitamin because my last pregnancy I suffered from HG and I'm paranoid it's going to happen again but the vitamins DID definitely make me feel like poo last time and I had to stop taking them ( but baby came out a healthy baby girl) I now wondering whether to start those horrid vitamins again ????lol, urggh I just do t know what to do? X

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 24/06/2015 10:52

Morning all!

Candlefairy I'm just taking the folic acid and vit D, I didn't take the pg vits last time as they do make you feel rubbish, I'm sure of it. I'll take Floradix for the iron if I need it but try to do it through my diet.

I'm feeling quite well, 4 weeks today, no more headaches and just a slight bit of nausea. My boobs have already grown some but I guess that's normal (please let it be normal). I have an appt with my GP tomorrow to discuss my meds (anti-depressants) and an appt with the MW on Monday but might not need that.

DP is so excited, he keeps texting me throughout the day to ask how I am Grin.

smallbird · 24/06/2015 11:25

Hi all, can I join? According to the NHS calculator I'm due 2nd March. If all goes well this will be DC2, I've got a DD already who's 13 months.

This afternoon we're off to the shops for folic acid!

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 24/06/2015 11:27

Ooh, lots of us are due on 2nd March! Welcome smallbird Smile

smallbird · 24/06/2015 11:34

That probably means no babies will arrive on the 2nd!
