Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Yes mrs I ended up at doctors last week with it. I normally have low blood pressure and pregnancy can lower it further, which it does for me. I'm having bloods tested Wednesday to check for anaemia so worth getting checked out.

julesldn · 20/07/2015 22:19

Hi all - hope you've all been feeling O.K today!

Good luck for all have early scans/booking in appointments this week!

Went to get my bloods done today. Was a walk in but was so quick and not that bad considering how much I hate having blood taken.

Also went to the GP about back pain I'm having (already - such a bore) and he told me to do some exercises and stop lifting heavy things. Haven't even opened the leaflet yet but I'll get there eventually haha...

Called the hospital too and have been registered finally so should get booking in appointment through the post this week yay. Can't wait for the anti climax haha.

Love that I'm telling you all this boring information haha sorry! None of my friends have kids so as excited as they are they want to see bumps and scans and talk about names. Instead I'm like back pain, constipation and throwing up... Niiiiiceee! ????

JoannaZZ · 20/07/2015 22:46

Wow, this thread has really moved on - I've been away on holiday for a week without internet. Distractions really help keep my sickness under control it seems, I felt so much better being out doing things compared to just sitting at home feeling sick. So I'm gonna try to stay busy the next few weeks.

I'm 7+3 today, can't wait until my scan next week!

Welcome to the newbies and good luck tomorrow maybe!

Kittykitty05 · 20/07/2015 22:48

Lol jules, the anonymity on here means you can share anything!!!

I'm getting a bit peeved with midwives. Last preg (beginning of year), they 'lost' my booking form, so I booked late, in a 15 min appointment, scanned late and at a hospital far away as its all they could get.
So far this time, it's 3 weeks since I took my form in and heard nothing. Now nearly 8 weeks and going away next week for 4 weeks. I called the midwife office to tell them this last Monday. Given that I have kids on hols next week, even if they can see me I can't see them! Looks like I'll be booking in about 13 weeks, that's if I'm lucky! Rahhhh

julesldn · 21/07/2015 00:05

Haha kitty it definitely helps!!

I would call them again if I were you. I know they're probably overstretched but your care is just as important as anyone else's. Hope you get a date soon!

Wonderworldx · 21/07/2015 05:47

I've woke up ever day for the last week feeling ridiculously sick, and this morning i woke starving!! Don't know what that means!! (Probably nothing, probably overthinking!!)

Celen · 21/07/2015 06:04

Awake at 4.30 Angry

Soon I'll be waking so early, there'll be little point going to bed...think it must be anxiety. Bleurgh Sad

BeautifulLiar · 21/07/2015 06:53

Dobby that's really sweet! My parents wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire but I'm determined to be the kind of mum that yours is Smile

Joanna ive found the same. I forced myself to a bahy group yesterday and felt so much better for it.

My 6 year old son did the washing up laat night!! He really is a star.

The cleaners are starting today and I'm strangely nervous... kind of worrying that I'll come back home and think Confused what have they done??

How are people getting on with folic acid? Personally I think it's a nightmare shoving tablets down your throat when you've got morning sickness!!

Paperblank · 21/07/2015 07:16

Beautiful I take my folic acid at night - might be better for you especially if you don't feel as bad at night. I can barely clean my teeth in the morning let alone take a tablet.

BeautifulLiar · 21/07/2015 07:21

Thanks Paper. I have actually been taking it at night Smile not that the sickness has any pattern, it sort of comes and goes. Huge improvement on last time so I'm trying not to complain too much!

The worst thing is just not being "me" anymore, anyone else get that? Can't wait till I get to nesting stage!

Paperblank · 21/07/2015 07:34

I am looking forward to that nesting stage too. I am a bit massively houseproud and I've gone from keeping it beautifully tidy and clean to living in a bloody tip.

I'm going to have to tackle it room by room, just as soon as I can be arsed to get the vacuum out Grin

Indomitable · 21/07/2015 07:52

Beautiful I get that, about not feeling yourself. (I think)

Last time I found having a different shapes body really difficult. I got shot down on here with people mistaking my complaint for that I wasn't slim any more. It was more that I wasn't sure where my new body was in space, I kept getting wedged and stuck in places. My brain thought I still had my normal body, but I really didn't! I think another part of it was the mumsy maternity clothes. I ended up trying to be this maternal womanly grown-up person that I thought I should be. Sensible jeans and cardigans. It took me till DS was 18m to stop trying to play a character and feel like myself again.

This time I'm going to work hard on retaining 'myself' as much as possible. Though when I start feeling sick and changing shape the plan might all go out the window.

Maybe that's not what you meant.

BeautifulLiar · 21/07/2015 08:10

Yes Paper, same here re houseproud. I get morning sickness, the house turns gross, then I hit nesting stage and clean things I never knew I had!

Oh you can get shot down on here for anything. And I do get what you mean. With my first baby, I got to 6 months pregnant without ironing anything. Then I had to iron a shirt for work, but because I hadn't ironed with a bump, and was stood in just a bra, I misjudged and ironed my stomach Sad Still have the scar!

BeautifulLiar · 21/07/2015 08:11

Ok that sounds worse than it is! I hit my stomach with the edge of the iron I mean... I don't have a huge iron print across myself Grin

lilmisshopeful · 21/07/2015 08:21

Welcome Charley and the other newbies. Goodness this thread moves so fast I can't keep up!

We also are looking forward to our early scan on Friday (at 7+6). After 3 previous mcs there's no way I can wait until 12 weeks. Am a bag of nerves this week but still feeling v nauseous which I didn't have with last two (unsuccessful) pregnancies so hoping it's a sign that all is well.

dobbythedoggy · 21/07/2015 08:35

beautiful my mum and dad are amazing, wonderful parents and grandparents, ever so lucky to have them. Dh gets on with them so much better than his own parrents, his mum is very hard work! They might help out if he was really in need, but it would be forever held over him.

I've not managed to keep the folic acid down the past few days, given up on the vit D all together. The pills are far too big.

I'm looking forward to being me again too. Dd and I are usually out of the house 2 or 3 times a day, walking, visiting the park and meeting up with friends if we haven't got any groups on. But at the moment walking further than my parents, in the next road over, feels like too much. Walking the 1/4 of a mile to the park seems about as likely as climbing mount everest nude! Can't even manage too long sat out in the garden forget running around after her. I miss cooking too, although thinking of it makes to feel ill. Can't even manage to concentrate on my usual evening activity of crochet, I've got a couple of projects that really need finishing up too!

Missdee2014 · 21/07/2015 08:47

Dobby, I had huge folic acid/vitamin D tabs and mentioned to my midwife who gave me a multivitamin that was tiny in comparison. Worth asking.

dobbythedoggy · 21/07/2015 08:52

Thanks missdee I'll ask when I see her. The folic acid I have at the moment is tiny, just the act of swalowing anything solid makes me gag. Trying not to worry too much as I was the same when pregnant with dd but have built up 6+ months of stores before getting pregnant this time.

Missdee2014 · 21/07/2015 08:56

Yeah no point worrying Unnecessarily Mine are the same tablet that covers all, toaty wee things Grin

QforCucumber · 21/07/2015 09:03

I've been using the Centrum pregnancy ones - they're quite small, especially in comparison to pregnacare!!
GP appointment today to see if my blood pressure is low enough to need monitoring, hope all is ok.

BeautifulLiar · 21/07/2015 09:49

That's what it is dobby - forever held over us! We don't really speak anymore, although they went to a solicitor to see the children, so I'm wondering whether they'll be keen on taking four? I somehow doubt it, but they can't just leave one out! I'm not planning on telling them I'm pregnant but I'm sure the DC will Wink

And yeh i definitely miss just being able to DO things with ease, not struggling to get up in case I dry heave.

Good luck everyone with scans and GP appointments. Sort of wish I'd told the clinic my LMP dates, as they might have phoned me by now... oh well, hopefully soon!

Missdee2014 · 21/07/2015 10:05

Should we get a new thread started before this ones full?

Rosieblossom123 · 21/07/2015 10:47

Missdee2014 I agree, who wants to start the new thread?

maybebabybee · 21/07/2015 10:49

Good news everyone, saw my bean this morning on the scan - measuring 6+3 with a nice heartbeat of 118bpm. Got to go back in two weeks to see how its progressing, but pretty reassuring for the moment!

BeautifulLiar · 21/07/2015 10:51

congrats maybe - fab news!!

Im too scared to start a new thread...
