Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Hi ladies. I'm 6+1 today and the tiredness has really hit me. Just cannot wake up today and feeling permanently hungover! (I wish!)

So frustrating that the part where you feel at your worse is the part you can't tell anyone!!

Herewegoagain31 · 20/07/2015 13:37

When I was pregnant with dd we didn't tell anyone but my parents and sister till 12 weeks. This time I've told quite a few people (relatively!) - two of my NCT friends and two of my old friends who also now have babies. I haven't (and wouldn't) tell my friends who don't have children yet till I get to 12 weeks, just because I feel with my mummy friends they would get what was happening if I lost the baby and would provide invaluable support, whereas my non baby friends wouldn't 'get' it so much, just because they haven't been pregnant yet and I know I wouldn't have understood fully before I had been pregnant myself. So I've definitely told more people this time but I feel comfortable with those who know, although DH thinks I'm tempting fate!

I haven't told anyone yet, I quite like having a secret. I want my parents to be first to know but my mum had lots of issues with mc and an ectopic when I was growing up so I really want to know all looks well before I say anything so fingers crossed all goes to plan till the scan.

First day back after my holiday and its proving hard work but not stressing because I can smile to myself about my little secret Grin

Missdee2014 · 20/07/2015 13:56

To all those wondering about an early scan, I've had early scans with my previous 3 pregnancies. Not through choice. DC1 I had a suspected ectopic pregnancy which turned out thankfully to be nothing more than a urine infection Shock. I then had a mc with my next pregnancy, bled at c6 weeks and continued to bleed and be scanned every week til 11+6 when all was confirmed as being well. And then mc at 12 weeks exactly. DC2 I again bled from 6 weeks til 14 weeks and was scanned weekly - she is the sweetest 8 year old I've ever met Grin No bleeding as yet this time although I'm on permanent knicker watch! Fingers crossed I have a smooth one this time.

I am tempted to pay for an early scan privately though, only because I'm not used to having to wait til 12 weeks to see my wee baby bean.

maybebabybee · 20/07/2015 14:07

I'm having sharp pains in my side. Really worried. Should I call the GP? I know they'll just send me for an early scan but they won't be able to see anything this early anyway.

Indomitable · 20/07/2015 15:15

Hope you've rung already, maybe. Hope it's wind or something.

Rosieblossom123 · 20/07/2015 15:40

Had a massive argument with my hubby last night about having an early scan :( he really refuses to do it even though I told him I want it for my bday but he still doesn't want to 'Jinx things', I guess I'll have to wait until mid August :(

maybebabybee I would call your gp, last week my side felt different and I had on and off pain and went to my gp and she done an internal examination where she was nudging some parts of my body and she said there is nothing wrong at all sounds a bit like trapped wind or something, I was worried about ectopic but she said If it was ectopic when she was nudging me I would've been screaming!

maybebabybee · 20/07/2015 16:10

well I've called and I've been referred for a scan tomorrow morning at the EPU. It's a walk in clinic so I could be seen any time between 9 and 12 which is a little bit annoying. No bleeding or anything so hopefully it will be ok.

Rosieblossom123 · 20/07/2015 17:14

maybebabybee good luck hun, you're lucky that your having an early scan I literally begged my gp and all she kept saying is you don't need one :( I wish we had a walk in one where I live, our EPU is by gp referral only! ARGHHH

QforCucumber · 20/07/2015 17:47

Fingers crossed for you maybe if everything is ok with these pregnancy's we will look back and laugh at all the worry!

Me624 · 20/07/2015 18:23

Hope your scan is ok tomorrow maybe

Rosieblossom123 · 20/07/2015 18:33

QforCucumber that's what I was thinking, hopefully we'll read back and say look how silly we were haha

LaraNotCroft22 · 20/07/2015 18:36

Welcome newbies!

Wow, we're nearly at the end of our first thread already Shock

Maybe, fingers crossed all is well with you, the not bleeding is a good sign. Will be thinking of you.

I have my booking in tomorrow and then early scan at eight weeks on wed. Praying all is ok!

Can't wait to get to 12 weeks, I've known over a month already and it takes soooo long the first trimester!

Paperblank · 20/07/2015 19:03

Lara you're right, it is a loooonng twelve weeks Smile

I'm 6+3 and it feels like I've known for ages. The time will fly (eventually) and then we'll be going "do you remember when we'd just found? 12 weeks took forever to go and now they're off to school!"

LaraNotCroft22 · 20/07/2015 19:09

Ah paper you're right! It just feels like agessss at this point. In a few weeks we'll be having the first 12 week scans and then they'll come think and fast :-)

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 20/07/2015 19:10

I had an early scan with my first pregnancy as had suspected ectopic but was just stretching pain. I don't plan to have one with this pregnancy unless anything happens to be of concern - I too believe that what will be will be!

I've got more or less constant nausea some days but have had the odd day when it's not too bad! I'm quite tired and exhausted running round after an active 11 month old!

We've told our parents and my close friends and mummy friends as I see these people a lot and look like death at the moment plus I needed to talk to my friends about it! I figure if I do have a mc these are the people who will help and support us and who I would tell anyway! But judging by the sickness this baby is going to be as strong as an ox!

Lucy61 · 20/07/2015 19:32

Good luck at your scan tomorrow, Maybe.

I've just had a scan and was lovely to see the flickering of the heart beat and to have someone say that all is as it should be! Can't stop looking at the scan pics.

We really needed this scan as its only a couple of months since my mmc and surgical management...

Rosieblossom123 · 20/07/2015 19:46

Lucy61 I bet you are so relieved I can't wait to see my little bean and put my mind at ease

Celen · 20/07/2015 20:02

Lucy , how far along are you? I'd like to get a scan before my hols but I'll only be 6+4, I'm thinking it'll be more likely (and less of a waste of money) at 7+ weeks!

Lucy61 · 20/07/2015 20:25

I thought I was roughly 7 weeks and scan showed little one is 6 +5 which is about right because I have a long cycle.

We felt that an early scan was right for us because if all wasn't well, it is potentially 'easier' - although it's never easy- to manage a miscarriage when a fetus is small. With my recent mmc , there was no heartbeat but it continued to grow and I had surgery to end it. Id rather know sooner than later.

Paperblank · 20/07/2015 21:07

Aww Lucy I'm glad it went well. It must have been lovely to see that everything is okay.

Paperblank · 20/07/2015 21:08

Sooo...March mums....who's starting the next thread?

dobbythedoggy · 20/07/2015 21:31

Hope you have good news tomorrow maybe.

Congratulations lucy.

I have to say I really love my mum and dad. They've really taken charge after seeing how bad my sickness is have decided to take charge of all food related duties. So mum popped dd in a packed lunch before she went to work and my dad cooked her dinner, all I had to do was turn up at theirs when dh went to work. Dh is trying to get into the habbit of leaving her breakfast out before he goes to work so I don't have to face the kitchen.

Sickness was awful yesterday, wiped out all day. But has eased a little today, still there but not cripling. Have decdied to wear sickness bands at all times, cool enough to get away with long sleves today. Managed to eat a mouse's portion of dinner, which seems to have helped with the exhaustion. Also managed to nibble on a finger of kitkat as it actually smelled apatising!

Mrsrsw · 20/07/2015 21:32

Anyone else feeling quite light headed? I've had a few days now where I've felt close to keeling over. (Usually on an evening) x

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 20/07/2015 21:46

Hi all,
Before this reaches 1000 posts, please can I tentatively join the bus? Found out nearly 2 weeks ago that I'm expecting and have just about got over the shock Grin am around 6+3...estimated date at the mo is 11th March, but am not quite sure if I'm really that far along yet. Already have a 19 month old DD and we weren't trying for another just yet, hence the shock!
Have been having sore boobs and tiredness for about a week and just today the nausea has started. Joy. I can see the next few weeks being a struggle at work!
