Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

congrats indomitable. I'm going to do a CB this week I think - been holding off for as long as possible but I'm six weeks today by when I think I ov'd (6+5 going by LMP) so I think I'm going to cave this week. tried to convince DP we should have an early scan but he doesn't see the point Hmm so just going to have to wait another six weeks!

sherazade · 19/07/2015 09:29

Sorry to hear about your mum miss dee Sad

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 09:39

Im so confused about my due date!

LMP was May 31st, so in theory I should be 7 weeks today.

But my cycles have been around 30-35 days for the past few, so I'm putting myself at 6+3.

However, I do remember having fertile EWCM around June 13th - we then dtd June 13th, 16th and 18th. BFP was June 30th - quite a dark line.

I know thats complicated but could I be further along than 6+3?? Could I have randomly had a 28 day cycle?

Hope everyone's well x

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 09:40

If it makes a difference i used a Superdrug test which can apparently give you a result 4 days before period is due!

Me624 · 19/07/2015 09:45

BeautifulLiar I have long cycles (32-34 days) but I was doing OPKs and I know that I always ovulated around day 14 despite the long cycles. So I am going by my LMP. If you had ewcm on 13 June you could have ovulated around then and be a few days further along than you think.

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 09:57

Thanks, Me, I hope i am!

Actually with my last baby I had a 40 day cycle, but conceived on the next one which must have been around 28 days going by the due date (which she was born on).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you always start AF 12-14 days after ovulation? The luteal phase is it?

Sunny4124 · 19/07/2015 12:17

Hi All,

Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!

Can I join too? I am 7 weeks today, first pregnancy, and totally clueless! I'm soooo excited and a bit worried :-)

My last period was 31st May and my predicted due date is 6th March.

Haven't announced to friends and family yet, until scan (only me and my boyfriend know!) so will be great to have other people to share this with!

I'm 37, and terrified something will go wrong! Just need to relax I think! :-)

It's a pretty long thread so going to read through it all now :-) Good luck everyone!
Xxx

Me624 · 19/07/2015 12:27

No not necessarily Beautiful, most people do of course but I definitely ovulate around day 14 but don't start AF until almost 3 weeks later. When we first started ttc I assumed like you did that I'd be ovulating later and we were focusing our dtd round the wrong time, as soon as I started OPKs it became clear!

Me624 · 19/07/2015 12:27

Oh and congrats and welcome Sunny!

QforCucumber · 19/07/2015 13:01

Afternoon all Smile
apparently I needed 13 hours of sleep last night - feel amazing today from it though, keep getting dull aches, like period pains but not a strong. Keep telling myself they're normal but so hard not to worry.
Hope everyone is ok today.

maybebabybee · 19/07/2015 13:37

Everyone's luteal phase is a different length but it should always be the same from month to month, though your ovulation date can shift. My cycle is usually 27 days. My luteal phase is always 12 days so I usually O on day 15. But if I'm stressed my cycle messes up - didn't O til day 25 once. But my LP was still 12 days.

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 13:38

Welcome, newbies! We've got a lovely bunch on here :)

Aaagghh so should I just go for it and go by LMP?? If so then I can skip a few days and will be 7 weeks today! Im tempted, and after all that's what midwives will go by, but then don't want to be disappointed if the scan puts me back by a few days...

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 13:40

Aahh that makes more sense that ovulation day can shift. I definitely had the EWCM on day 13, but it can't have been the same in previous months as cycles were up to 35 days.

maybebabybee · 19/07/2015 13:56

I wouldn't worry anyway. You won't know for sure how far along you are til the scn, and that's fine :)

Bear in mind though that lots of women get EW a few days before ovulation - I get it 5 days before!

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 14:22

Oh crap, that's true! And it would make more sense that I'd ov'd later. But I want to class myself at 7 weeks Envy Grin

maybebabybee · 19/07/2015 14:29

beautiful I'm actually in the same boat as you, I had a MC at 5 +5 which started on June 1 and was pregnant again with no period in between. Therefore the midwives will use the first day of my MC as my LMP and date my pregnancy at 7 weeks. But because I was temping and using OPKs I know I didn't ovulate until June 20, making me 6 weeks today. So they are bound to tell me the baby is too small :)

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 14:34

Sorry about your mc, maybe. Don't worry, they will date you quite accurately at your scan Smile

Im sure i only had ewcm for that one day, possibly two - so could i really have ovulated quite a few days after it stopped? Why are we so complicated?!

maybebabybee · 19/07/2015 15:30

beautiful possibly you still could ovulated a few days after EW...my usual cervical fluid pattern was one or two days at the max of EW and then about 4/5 days of watery...

On your day of ovulation it's not uncommon for your CF to have gone back to sticky or dry, actually.

rebeccax2 · 19/07/2015 15:38

Hello All,

Think I'm about 7 weeks. Was on the February thread but I'm ACTUALLY due in March so Here. I. Am.
Second baby. First was a little girl delivered by Forceps 14 months ago. So I'll have 2 under 2!
I'm going to opt for an EC this time round, so planning my case to take to the midwife. I will NOT take no for an answer. :-)

maybebabybee · 19/07/2015 15:45

Welcome rebecca

What is an EC?? Need to learn the lingo :S

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 15:55

Is it an elective caesarean?

I had a forceps delivery with mg first baby too, but then two home births after that.

And thanks maybe x

Kittykitty05 · 19/07/2015 16:38

Not sure where my due date will be. We only dtd on day 8 that month, and I normally ovulate day 14, so I either ovulated very early, or one little swimmer hung around for quite a while! So by dates I'm 7+2, but potentially may have fallen sooner. Dh and I will be taking bets at the scan!

BeautifulLiar · 19/07/2015 16:57

Bets! That's a good idea. I'm going with March 8th for me (although going by LMP I'm due on mother's day, aww)

Paperblank · 19/07/2015 20:00

Evening all!! how is everyone?

I may have to abandon you and join the Feb babies gang. Midwife has told me I'll be induced at the end of February (leap year baby anyone??) but I might just make it to March!

It felt really strange to be talking about delivering a baby when its still such early days but I now have a lovely purple folder with my maternity notes in and I also got given a Bounty pack...Most of the contents are in the recycling bin. Able and Cole Organic Veg delivery is nowhere near as appealing as say a delivery of 12 original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts!

Embolio · 19/07/2015 20:24

Wow! I'm gone for a day and we're at 900 posts! Good work everyone and congrats and welcome newbies Flowers

missdee so sorry about your mums news, cry as much as you need too, it's a lot to process. Hopefully now she has a diagnosis they can crack on with treatment for her. My dad has prostate cancer and is having treatment at the moment, it's shite really isn't it? Sending love.

Not much to report on pregnancy front. Exhausted, nauseous from time to time, bloated like a whale and sore boobs. 6+3 today I think, have to tell work tomorrow, bricking it slightly!
