Really lovely to hear about all the happy scans so far, congrats to those of you seeing healthy beans! Smile

BeeMyBaby · 14/06/2015 22:21

Hmm, very interesting juniper - I wondered about the cs thing because 3 out of 4 ladies that I know who've had a cs at work have permanent small bump, even though one of them is a size 8-10. I don't think it's a height thing though as I'm only 5ft2 and I have no lovely bump ??

Billi77 · 14/06/2015 23:27

Hello again. 8 week (+ 3 scan) on Tuesday. Will keep you posted. So so nervous about it all being a hoax ...

coffeenut · 15/06/2015 06:17

Nice bump juniper!

Congrats on the scans ladies Flowers

We will be finding out the sex with the harmony results (forget who asked sorry!). Whoever has their 12 week scan on the 25th, I think you will be the first? Several of us on the 26th.

Having a bit of an anxiety hit today. Realised I haven't had any nausea at all for about a week (not even mild nausea) and have actually been feeling fine & not at all pregnant. Boobs def not sensitive at all.

MiniTickle · 15/06/2015 06:31

I'm the 25th June, 10 days and counting! Bean is the size of a fig at the moment. Each week from now they seem to make huge leaps! Hopefully a bump will appear soon so that people understand the weight gain rather than judging.

Congratulations to all those receiving good news.

Lookingforadvice123 · 15/06/2015 06:42

I'm the 25th too! Counting down the days. I'll be 12+3 or 12+4 based on last week's scan. Is anyone actually having their 12 week scan before they're 12 weeks?

OrangeBeehive · 15/06/2015 07:20

My 12 week scan is on 26th too (when I'll be 12+6!)

Sorry I've not been around for a while ladies. All is well, I'm just trying not to think about things too much to keep anxiety levels at a minimum. Once the 12 week scan is out of the way I'll be back with bells on! Hope everyone is well Smile

impatientlywaiting · 15/06/2015 07:50

Thanks for the new thread!

lilyb84 · 15/06/2015 08:06

Looking - my 12 week scan is on 7th July when I'll be 11+2 or thereabouts, so yes!

ValancyJane · 15/06/2015 08:08

Rung in sick today, been sick and feeling bleh! Have emailed the human resources person and said that it's pregnancy-related, as I understand that they have to treat it differently from normal absences and can't hold it against me (I've already racked up a few this year).

Keep looking at my scan pictures from yesterday - feeling this rubbish is definitely worth it! :)

loveulotslikejellytots · 15/06/2015 08:13

I don't blame you valancy.

I've felt fine up until now (10+1). Woken up this morning and the nausea has really ramped up. I keep gagging at nothing. But I feel all clammy and shaky. I'm supposed to leave now to get to work for 8:30 but I'm just having a lie down on the bed. It's the only thing that makes it go away! I think it's worse because I'm hungry but I just cannot think of eating right now!

loveulotslikejellytots · 15/06/2015 08:13

Oh and work don't know yet so I can't really say anything yet.

frozenfairy123 · 15/06/2015 08:17

Yes me! My scan is 24th! I will be 11+2/4 depending on lmp or ov date. Midwife got confused with my dates but didn't want to change it. Excited and scared but can't wait! Xx

Joey0805 · 15/06/2015 08:21

I'm all boarded for a flight to the states (work trip, back Weds) - compression socks on, water in hand, regretfully turning down the champagne (I know it's 08:15 but it's Tattinger and cold and looks sooo good). This is my first long haul business trip that I can't use caffeine and sleeping pills to deal with long days in a different time zone... Hoping I'll be busy enough that the adrenaline will see me through!!

I have 3 of my close girlfriends due 3, 4 and 6 weeks ahead of me...so lovely and I can't wait to tell them there's a 4th baby on the way as well. So far I've told my 3 closest girlfriends and that's it - they all have kids so have been really really helpful with advice on consultants, dealing with work etc so I'm pleased they know. We're telling my mum this wknd, in laws next wknd and my dad when he's back from hols. First grandchild for the inlaws and I know they're going to be over the moon so that's who I'm most looking forward to telling...everyone else will be after the Harmony results when I also tell work (with social media these days I feel like I need to tell work alongside everyone else lest someone picks it up from a random FB comment).

MiniTickle · 15/06/2015 08:21

On last weeks scan I'll be 12+6. Super excited.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 15/06/2015 08:30

Valancy snap, I've called in sick. But I haven't told work yet so as far as they're concerned I'm ill.

loveu I'm also in that dilemma or eat/don't eat. I know I will feel worse if I don't eat but can't bring myself to do it.

lilyb84 · 15/06/2015 08:31

Feel your pain, valancy and jelly! Had a horrible night, felt too sick to sleep so only got a few (not very restful) hours and now even though I'm meant to be working from home I don't think I'm going to make it out of bed... Envy

moonshine25 · 15/06/2015 08:44

Oh no I think this is the day for feeling rubbish as I'm joining your boat! Had tea at my neighbours last night, came home and was promptly sick and then spent all night tossing and turning through my nausea. Yuk. I work from home too but going to try and get some done in between naps I think.

Hope everyone feels a bit better soon!

mrschatty · 15/06/2015 08:52

Hay everyone :) I'm also feeling the nausea this morning don't start work till 10 so just taking it easy with my cornflakes and banana hoping it sorts me out! Refusing to let the cat in because cannot face her food ugh just gagged at the thought Envy-sick face

crumble74 · 15/06/2015 08:57

My 12 week scan is 22nd June - in a week! - when I'll be 12+2. So far only the in laws know about pregnancy and 2 close friends. My mum will be too excited, which I can't handle at the moment!

coffeenut · 15/06/2015 09:16

Gosh crumble that's so close! Will you be the first then? Looks like it's all starting to happen next week!

Joey I have to admit, I probs would have had a sip if it was cold tattinger!!

ValancyJane · 15/06/2015 09:43

Aww love that sounds rubbish. When I've been like that, sucking on sugary sweets helps - I find it gets some sugar into my system without upsetting my stomach. (I am so not the poster girl for a healthy pregnancy diet at the moment!) Hope you made it into work alright.

b&w Thought about just doing that, but I know I'm about two days from the point at which you get called into a meeting about your absences and given a bit of a warning - I had flu earlier this year, and along with half my department had a week off with stress too. So figured I'd come clean, then they have to give me some leeway.

Lily I'm on the sofa in comfy clothes and blanket watching Jeremy Kyle, but am seriously considering going back to bed!

Sorry you all feel so rubbish, but glad to be in good company at least!

fishermanswife1 · 15/06/2015 09:48

Hi all! Lovely news of everyone's early scans and up coming 12 weeks scans. Welcome newbies.

Thanks for new thread manatee

I've been off grid at a hen do since Friday. Now still laying in my bed at nearly 10am thoroughly exhausted. It was so active, swimming, archery, lots of dancing and rounders, on top of the late nights. Ended up telling the hen in private, and another pregnant friend knew. Didn't want to look like I wasn't getting involved (drinking, hot tub, sauna). But think I got away with not telling the others. It was lovely being a bit more active, as I've been less nauseous the last few days. But barely moving now!

Also arrived home to a letter with my scan appointment! 23rd June! Only next week. earlier than I expected, I'll be 11+5 by my calculations.

OTheHugeManatee · 15/06/2015 10:00

Jealous of everyone whose scans are imminent! The further I get from my early scan at 7wks the more I fret that something might have gone wrong in between. I've felt pretty okay over the weekend, just quite tired, and am now pointlessly worrying. It's not even that I want the nausea back but I just want some reassurance that I'm still pregnant iyswim.

I'm 10+1 today and still not got a date for my booking in appointment. Apparently the midwife is supposed to ring me this week to arrange it, so eagerly awaiting a phone call. They won't give you their number, so you just have to wait. Here's hoping I can get it to fit around work, since I haven't told them yet.

When I read all of your scan dates etc., I'm happy for you but also annoyed at how left in the dark I am, when clearly other areas of the country manage it differently and it seems to work for them. I'm hoping I get the 12 week scan arranged at booking in, but like everything else I have no idea. I can't find any online resource that explains it either. They like to keep us as uninformed as possibly round here.
