Awesome news coffee, I had no idea Harmony tests also gave sex information! Although in fairness I'm still a bit in the dark about Harmony full stop.

juniper my midwife mentioned doing a Harmony test when I had my booking appt yesterday, assume she meant something along the lines of what you were told today? I didn't question as there was so much to take in!

And spooble I feel the same - other than the constant nausea it doesn't feel particularly real yet. Can't wait for the scan in 2 weeks Smile

I hope all those feeling rubbish today are making it through okay!

FizzyPinkWine · 25/06/2015 17:54

Coffee, how amazing to already know you're having a boy! Fantastic news.
We won't be finding out the gender, but I love hearing other news!

Bluenewbie · 25/06/2015 17:59

Congratulations all on your 12 week scans and good results ! Flowers

Juniper I alaso had booking in appt today. Mentioned harmony and my MW said definitely NHS can't do this, it is too expensve. They think about doing it when there is a high risk , but this being in the future. I guess it depend on the area. you are lucky! I will also consider Harmony or NIFTY? if it turns out to be a high risk.

Apart from that, it was pure bureaucracy. For blood tests, mental issues, whatever- pls go to your GP. .. Shock I went to my GP twice before seeing MW also to be just put on the s system and receive some leaflets.. what are these appts for??!!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 25/06/2015 18:05

Jam tarts ladies. That. Is. All.

Oysterbabe · 25/06/2015 18:07

Congrats on the scans and the first official member of team blue.
I'm already team yellow. Smile

MiniTickle · 25/06/2015 18:08

Had my 12 week scan today. The bean wasn't playing ball - was facing the wrong way and then did 180 degree spin but still wasn't the right way. Midwife sent me away to drink coke and chocolate. I returned and the baby spun just at the last moment into the correct position to have a good look and take measurements. It was so exciting although baby has grown again I'm now due on the 28th Dec. Can I still hang around with you guys? X

lilyb84 · 25/06/2015 18:12

WANT JAM TARTS NOW.

Good call, b&w Smile

fishermanswife1 · 25/06/2015 18:16

I'm with you black! Apricot jam tarts, all day long!

Great about scan mini, and baby turning eventually! With the couple of weeks possibility either side of your EDD, you could very well have a Jan baby anyway! And we'll want to know how you're getting on!

I'm off to make the chicken noodle soup I've been fantasizing about all day. Will I ever stop eating?!

SleepyDragon · 25/06/2015 18:21

Just got home to 2 more letters.... One inviting me to talk about Ante Natal care on 29 July (12 wk scan is 10 Juky at 13 week lol) and another for a GTT test but not til 28 September! Lots of appointments stacking up now Grin

Blackandwhitecat3 · 25/06/2015 18:24

Bought a pack of six. Guess how many are left?

Lookingforadvice123 · 25/06/2015 18:36

loveulots we're EDD twins!

mini mine was the same kept standing on its head, dh said it literally looked like it was taking the piss as it would turn upside down every time she tried to take a measurement!

At my private scan 2 weeks ago the sonographer said my cyst on my ovary had gone, turns out it hasn't although it's shrunk by over a cm! So for now I'm consultant lead. Would rather be midwife lead but at least they're keeping an eye on it, hopefully means I will get extra scans as I have my first consultant appt in a couple of weeks.

SleepyDragon · 25/06/2015 18:44

Looking I think my 29 July appointment might be my first consultant led one....

crumble74 · 25/06/2015 18:50

Great news on the scans loveu and mini. I'm due 28/12 too but I'd rather stay here!

Bluenewbie · 25/06/2015 18:52

I had a bowl of broad beans yesterday, was gorgeous! :D

today I'm cooking butter beans, the smell is divine! Shock

and yeah, regular veggie stuff I used to eat puts me off. I want pizza, pasta, cheese etc!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 25/06/2015 18:52

Oyster I will join you in team yellow. Congrats coffee, looking. And anyone else with good news today I'm too busy stuffing my face to tag everyone

Creepily I have lost 2 pounds in the last 11 weeks, but given today's (ongoing) pastry intake I've a feeling that will get reversed soon.

Sorry to hear your morning was terrible kep, hope your day got better.

Well, I had a better day today. Class Awesome lived up to their name. They offered me the job (!) Shock So I made them retract what they'd said yesterday and told them I wasn't convinced they'd support me in the role, so I'll think about it overnight thank you.

Being pregnant has given me some balls! Prob going to take it, if nothing else, to see the looks on their faces when I give them the bird tell them I'm duffed up. Grin

flyinghighinthesky · 25/06/2015 18:54

ladies who are further along remind me when the horrible sick and tired period ends?
Had an awful day today which began with throwing up in front of my DD at breakfast and ended with nearly dozing off at my desk this afternoon and spending my tube ride home desperately trying not to vom all over the horribly smelly sweaty people.
Cannot wait for this sick period to end!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 25/06/2015 18:58

Flying how far along are you? I felt better at 10+6 and have 5 easier days on the trot now 11+3 can't believe it. Still some nausea but nowhere near on the same scale. Tons of energy today.

lilyb84 · 25/06/2015 19:07

Is yellow team not finding out? I want to be on that team but don't think DH agrees with me!

brickiemum2 · 25/06/2015 19:21

Ooh, we're not far off needing thread #5 lol.

Lookingforadvice123 · 25/06/2015 19:27

flying I'm still not feeling great at 12+5! Although nausea has definitely reduced from 9/10 weeks.

To give everyone a laugh, I'm funny about my weight and am usually slim, so not loving the weight gain and was dreading getting weighed! Not only did the midwife weigh me BEFORE the scan, so was full of liquid as instructed, but she wrote my height and weight in the wrong boxes. So it now looks like I weigh 171kg as I'm 171cm Grin have to admit it made me laugh.

Oysterbabe · 25/06/2015 19:29

Yep team yellow isn't finding out.
DH and I are the other way round. I wouldn't mind finding out but he really doesn't want to so we won't.

mrschatty · 25/06/2015 19:40

We're team yellow...100%...neither of us want to know

crumble74 · 25/06/2015 19:42

I also have lots more energy now (13+2), my fitness tracker tells me I've walked 11,000 steps today. Smile

Juniper44 · 25/06/2015 19:56

I'm team yellow too Smile

Glad to hear you got the job, B&WC and well done for standing up to them! They sound like arseholes, but it's only for a term and then you can laugh in their faces (on your higher salary!)

Looking I had that once when I signed up for a GP. I said I weighed 7 10 and he wrote that as kilos! I was sitting in front of him; you'd think he'd notice if I were that big!

Juniper44 · 25/06/2015 20:00

Can I make a suggestion for the next thread?

Can we have a link to the stats sheet in the opening message, so it shows up on every page?
