Welcome pug

How have the scans gone?? Mine was GREAT baby jumping about like a little bean heartbeat pounding everything normal and good! They have put me back a bit now though I had guessed edd 11/12 jan been told today 16th but I'm going to keep as is until my '12wk' (14 more like...scan) see how things stand then! We're so pleased dh is thrilled!

Oysterbabe · 14/06/2015 15:08

Fab news on the scans. x

Juniper44 · 14/06/2015 15:20

I haven't told work but I've had a few people ask me about having more children... think the bump is getting too noticeable! I'm only 7+4 but my stomach muscles are blatantly shot to hell. Trying to wear my baggiest clothes but it's blatantly raising eyebrows...

Amazing. Scan this week was good - heard the heartbeat. I'm hoping to conceal it from work until 4 months. But we'll see.... I'm not showing at all really just look a bit bloated!

mrschatty · 14/06/2015 16:03

Oh wow juniper what #dc are you expecting now?

AmyFlame1986 · 14/06/2015 16:39

Wow juniper that's an impressive bump already! I can't wait for a bump, I am in that 'oh she has put on weight hasn't she' phase. I lot quite a lot of weight before my wedding in April so it's literally all gone back on but it a good way. I am sure people are thinking that I have let myself go.

Definitely feel less tired today, the joys of the weekend I guess.

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/06/2015 16:48

Great news on all the scans ladies!

brickiemum2 · 14/06/2015 17:52

Good news on the scans Smile

TeenieDeenie · 14/06/2015 18:01

Thanks for the new thread manatee.

Welcome pug I'm also 8 weeks tomorrow.

Thoughts are with all the ladies that are struggling, I can relate!! I've felt bloody awful all weekend and spent most of today in bed. Terrible nausea, exhausted, also a bit achey... Lying still with my eyes closed in a dark room is the only thing that makes me feel better. My oh been lovely, told me to go back to bed even though we were supposed to have plans this afternoon. Have just managed to have some steak pie for dinner so at least I've eaten but no idea how I'm gonna deal with work tomorrow feeling like this. I never felt like this in my first mmc pregnancy so trying to convince myself it's a good sign...

Juniper44 · 14/06/2015 18:14

Only number 2 Shock

I've lost weight too, so can't blame it on too much cake!

mrschatty · 14/06/2015 18:40

Can't wait to look like you juniper!!!!

ValancyJane · 14/06/2015 18:44

Scan was amazing - baby was measuring 8+2 so slightly ahead of where I think I should be. Heartbeat lovely and strong, 162bpm, and hearing it was amazing - both OH and I were blown away by it. All good things really! Got some nice pictures - you can see a clear head in one of them, in hindsight I wish I'd asked more questions about what was what, but quite honestly I was so relieved there was a good heart beat I just went blank!!

Mrs Glad yours went well too :)

Juniper That is definitely a bit of a bump already! A friend said she thought I had a bit of a bump the other day, I pointed out I've been craving sweets for two weeks and it was probably more sugar related than baby related!

Teenie I sympathise, have felt hideous all weekend - am seriously considering phoning in sick tomorrow if I feel like I did this morning.

TeenieDeenie · 14/06/2015 19:03

Yay for the lovely scan news ladies!! Smile

FizzyPinkWine · 14/06/2015 19:33

Lovely hearing about the scans!

SleepyDragon · 14/06/2015 19:43

Thanks for the new thread Manatee!

And also huge thanks to all the ladies who held my hand on Saturday.... Your support was reassuring and so far I've not had anything further.

Thank you so much xx

SleepyDragon · 14/06/2015 19:50

Also, welcomePug I'm also a first timer, EDD 14 Jan by OV date or 16 Jan by my GP so I reckon I'll go with 15th lol!

Scan date is 10 July for me.

I've told my direct boss and 1 other colleague so they can 'watch out for me' as we're doing office moves and shifting furniture etc at the mo. My MIL, FIL, SIL,BIL and my Mum know but not telling anyone else till after the scan.

Although I am going to the Lets Rock London festival on 27 June and no idea how I can hide not drinking from the girls!

CubanoHabana · 14/06/2015 20:10

marking place...

BeeMyBaby · 14/06/2015 20:24

Wow juniper - do you mind me asking if you had a cs for your last baby?

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/06/2015 20:53

Sleepy so pleased you're feeling better and haven't had any more scares.

Juniper that's an impressive bump! Mine is much much smaller and I can only see it because I know what I normally look like (and my bulge is a bit lower than where I would normally get some tummy fat).

Valancy exciting news from your scan. Good to know your baby has a head Wink

Yokyil I can't believe you've had your 12 week scan already (though I'm sure it didn't feel like "already" to you).

Teenie sorry to feel you've had a tough weekend. I was like that yesterday. I'm sure there's an evolutionary reason for it - like, it forces us to rest up when our bodies need to spend the energy on developing the little bean and its placenta. Amazing how lying down and closing our eyes makes everything better.

Really hope tomorrow is like today for me, if it's like yesterday then I just don't see how I can go into work.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/06/2015 20:53

"hear" not "feel" LOL

Juniper44 · 14/06/2015 21:29

Nope, Bee.

I really don't know why I'm showing so early. I had a definite (noticeable) bump at 11 weeks last time, but not this early.

I'm pretty short (5'1) and quite slight, so I don't know if it's just because there's nowhere for any of it to bulge to, or if my stomach muscles are just pathetic! I really did try (kind of) to do the abs of steel workout before I got pregnant, although my pelvic floor did not agree with some of the exercises Blush

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/06/2015 21:48

Great new sleepy.

Great news valancy on the scan! Where I am they don't measure the speed of the heartbeat which I find weird as I've seen on here that obviously some places do, but the sonographer told me that they just check to make sure it's fast and regular, then they're happy!

Phizpop · 14/06/2015 21:59

Only my DH, my immediate line manager and my running partner know. Hoping mum isn't noticing the decreased amount of contact - she will not be able to keep it quiet! she is busy decorating so hoping that will occupy her for another 4 weeks! I sound really boring at the moment , trying not to give the game away with how rough I've been feeling!
Was hoping to catch up with a uni friend on skype in a fortnight, but just tonight she has announced she is expecting DC2, not sure I can keep it quiet while being excited for her (already doing so at work for colleague 4 weeks ahead!).

Anyone else found the last 3-4 weeks the longest ever? How long will the next 4 weeks be till scan... (v exciting for those of you having early scans!)

Pugmumlondon · 14/06/2015 22:13

Hey Phizpop - I know what you mean about the waiting. I just know the next 4 weeks will be agony and I only found out a week ago so I really feel for all of you that have known for longer!

I had an early scan because I was having bleeding - although it was great reassurance it was hellish going through that for 2 days having only just found out!

Anxiously awaiting my appt from the hospital as I've only just referred in! Bit late to the party!

Pugmumlondon · 14/06/2015 22:15

Ps. The nausea is pretty bad. Better this afternoon than yesterday though - spent nearly the whole day in bed! Have just started a new job too so hugely awkward re. Being just about on time every day as opposed to 7:30/8am (yes people do do it) and needing to leave on time as I'm exhausted :(
