wynsey my thought exactly! Grin its a surprised whenever you find out

TeenieDeenie · 02/06/2015 18:53

So a real mix of finding out/not finding out! Does anyone have an inkling of what they might be having? Smile

moonshine25 · 02/06/2015 18:56

No idea Teenie, I think my hubby thinks girl as he's a pilot and there's this myth that they're more likely to have girls....although probably no truth in that at all! Haha.

I'm still worrying about mmc which I know is stupid but I just so don't want to go to my first scan and there be nothing there,

How is everyone else feeling?

mrschatty · 02/06/2015 18:57

ready congratulations to you and Mr ready on double bundles of joy!!! Did you have double symptoms extra nauseous etc or did you have no clue!!! I'd LOVE twinnies!!
Mrsfaz so pleased to hear all is well!
Do we think we will see any more twinnies come our 12wk scans xxx

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 02/06/2015 18:57

I don't think we'll be finding out what we're having. DH wants to know but I'd love to have that really special moment at delivery where he can tell me boy or girl. So he WILL be convinced, I'm not going to be changing my mind.

Got a slight boy feeling so far. Not bothered what we have but so many girls seem to have been born to friends and family lately it must be time for a change! DH wants a boy, and says he'd be terrified if we had twins!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 02/06/2015 19:00

Oh and congrats on the scan mrsfaz! You have a great DH booking that for you!

And congrats on the twins ready, incredible news!

AmyFlame1986 · 02/06/2015 19:00

Congratulations on the twins ready how exciting! I want someone to slap me for whining about my lack of sickness. I have felt so sick all day...haven't actually been sick but I haven't been sick for like 15 years so I'm actual quite scared of being sick. Thank goodness for pickled onion monster munch it's the only thing that doesn't make me fell sick, that and orange juice and Tonic water.
Me and DH will find out, i like to be organised and plus I have lots of friends who has just had boys and girls so need to see who I need to hit up for hand me downs

AlohaMama · 02/06/2015 19:11

Congrats ready on the twins. I love the idea of twins (for other people) but as this is my #3, if this bean turns out to be twins I'd have a breakdown. It was enough for dh to persuade me to go for #3, I could not cope with four. Helpfully it was the first thing my mum said to me when we told her we were expecting - as twins run in the family but neither me nor my sisters have had them, she thinks we're due some. Not helpful.

Only thing that makes me not feel sick right now - fizzy strawberry laces. Not sure if that counts as healthy diet or not Confused

loveulotslikejellytots · 02/06/2015 19:25

Alohamama I've been craving the really sour laces and jelly sweets. It's been mostly salty stuff so far but these I could eat all day!

BeeMyBaby · 02/06/2015 19:34

aloha I'm very much in agreement with you, the idea of twins is lovely but as this is dc3 as well if it ended up being twins there would be a lot of problems, namely having to get a bigger car. Where as my friend has no other dcs than her twin boys and life seems easy for her as her boys are into the same things at the same time so she doesn't have to work out an activity which is suitable for both and will amuse them both unlike myself with a 2 yr age gap.

lovelylara · 02/06/2015 19:40

Hello everyone!
Joining the thread at 8+2. DD is 10 Jan.
Feeling a bit nervous as I previously had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks (my baby had died at 7 weeks :( but I had no bleeding/cramps at the time).
Fingers crossed this time round!

MissMartin1992 · 02/06/2015 19:49

i have a feeling im having a boy.. no idea why thoughHmm

MissMartin1992 · 02/06/2015 19:50

hellooo!! welcomeeeee Grin ..
Congratulations xx

ValancyJane · 02/06/2015 19:52

Evening all! Wow, was too tired to log on last night - quite impressed that we're already on thread #3 and over 200 messages!

ready Congratulations on twins, how exciting :)

OH and I will definitely find out what we're having, I'm far too impatient and while I'm sure we'll love a boy or a girl, we want to know either way.

6+2 today and symptom-wise am just shattered with huge achey boobs! Still nausea on and off, but if I keep eating it tends to go away. aloha and love I've reeeeally wanted fizzy cola bottles since yesterday, not normally a sweets person either!

mrsfazruns · 02/06/2015 20:16

Love logging onto a few more pages of thread to catch up on and especially when it's news of TWINs .... How exciting!!! DH sure is a keeper .... Think id happily stay Pregnant forever as he's been such a star since we found out and so so happy!! He suffers PTSD and this baby just seems to have settled his mind!!

I don't pink bits of pink but I HATE pink hair bows on a newborn baby girl ... Don't know why but just think it's weird!! I have a feeling mines a boy but happy with either!!!

Readyforthefuture · 02/06/2015 20:17

Thanks aloha just sinking in the realities of twins, cost, complexity, risks. Lots to take in, if I'm honest I'm just glad they found something, I had this awful thought that I'd get in there and they'd tell me I'd imagined a bfp.

teenie can you add me to the stats? I'm 33, this is my first pregnancy, I'm from Hampshire, and due 15th jan, still waiting on a 12 week scan date.

Nausea is still going, but mostly evenings. Trying out the acupressure bands at the moment, will report back if they are the holy grail I hope they are (preggie pops work like a dream temporarily)

Joey0805 · 02/06/2015 20:49

Ok I am now officially the biggest cliche going... I have just eaten about 1/2 jar of PICKLES! Walking through M&S, saw them, had to have them. They were amazing.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 02/06/2015 20:54

Glad your scan went well MrsF where did you go in the end (you're in Oxford aren't you?).

Congratulations Ready and hope you are getting used to the twins news. We had 2 embryos transferred so I was secretly hoping for twins, but also secretly glad it's just one. So complicated! When will you find out if they are identical/non-identical? (The chance of identical twins is higher with IVF/IUI than natural conception - I think it must be the drugs) as well as the increased chance of non-identical too.

Soooo tired. Quite nauseous again today but not as bad as yesterday which was a massive relief. Not suffering fools gladly at the moment, and I work with plenty of them so I'm working hard at keeping my cool......Hmm

Welcome Lara a dang other new peeps I've missed. Congratulations! Teenie it's a full time job updating that stats sheet, you are a Star

Congrats Mrs and Ready lovely news!

We will be finding out the sex of our bubba, I hate yellow and want to be able to decorate the spare room and buy clothes etc lol! I always wanted a girl but since our nephew came along I wanted a boy... Either way I'll be chuffed!

Had to secretly print out maternity policy off at work today too to read up!

Lookingforadvice123 · 02/06/2015 21:22

The nausea has ramped up a notch for me Envy anyone else find this at 9ish weeks? I still haven't been actually sick but it's now virtually all day nausea with only short relief when I eat! Glad to have the symptoms to reassure me but also counting down the days until trimester 2 when I'll hopefully feel normal again!

mrsfazruns · 02/06/2015 21:40

blackandwhite I went to baby moments in didcot .... They are quite reasonable price wise and LOVELY professional people and a lovely atmosphere x

AlohaMama · 02/06/2015 21:46

I would love to be counting down the days till second trimester, but that would mean having a better clue of where I am in this pregnancy! Can't wait to feel better. DH has been amazing, including putting up with me crying all the time because I feel so pathetic at not being able to do everything.

crumble74 · 02/06/2015 21:52

Welcome lara and congrats!
All the best for this pregnancy. Smile

Blackandwhitecat3 · 02/06/2015 22:04

Looking nausea ramped up for me yesterday at 8 weeks exactly. Have a nasty feeling it'll go up again next week too! I agree, eating helps. Fizzy drinks...I never have fizzy drinks but I've drunk them all and need to get more - sending DH to supermarket tomorrow, I can't bear the supermarket at the moment - anyone else finding that? I must start internet shopping for food....
