I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and the sickness has been getting worse and worse. Urgh.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 02/06/2015 22:06

Joey just read your pickle post, and I normally hate this acronym but LOL!

Hello. Total (almost) newbie to everything. Due 23 January, or so they say. No morning sickness but faint wooziness, insomnia and very sore boobs. Fingers crossed. And everyone knows thanks to an over excited and drunk aunt whom I mistakenly told to cheer her up after a heart attack. Ah well.... Trying not to get stressed out and anxious as priority .

MissMartin1992 · 03/06/2015 07:19

hello billi Grin Congratulations! im due the day before you .. or so they say Wink

I'm so ill this morning! Tmi -im always sick just bile no matter what i eat or what time of the day, so im taking the day off work! it's great having a supportive bunch of people behind me.. i had to let my manager and section manager know im pg and they treat us pregnant ladies like royalty lol but i suppose that's because there is hundreds of us and im not needed as much as at smaller companies! How is everyone else feeling today? Smile

Oysterbabe · 03/06/2015 07:19

Welcome Billi.

I don't feel good today. I have a really bloated, crampy feeling, like I'm about to start a heavy period. I hate it, it's terrifying and I keep expecting blood. I'd definitely prefer sickness.
Had anyone else been super thirsty?

frozenfairy123 · 03/06/2015 07:38

Hi Teenie, please could u add my stats? Edd 11/1/16 first scan 24th June, 1dc, I'm 37, West Sussex
Can't think what else? Thank u xxx

frozenfairy123 · 03/06/2015 07:51

Congrats on twin news! V exciting! Although if I was having twins I would freak out. Took a long time to convince hubby to go for no 2 and he is pretty scared about coping, let alone adding another into the mix. Honestly I really really want a girl and so I'm going to find out at the scan if I can. Wish I didn't care but I do xxx

Billi77 · 03/06/2015 07:55

Hello. Can I join you January people? Due 23rd... Or so the GP says

Billi77 · 03/06/2015 07:57

Woops. Have joined already! Thanks for welcomes.

Billi77 · 03/06/2015 07:59

Having curry last night was NOT a good idea...

SleepyDragon · 03/06/2015 08:09

Morning ladies,

well... i caved in this morning and bought a sausage McMuffin on the way to work.

Thoroughly enjoyed it mind you.... and have now drunk a full 500ml bottle of water since 7.30am (its 8am). that's probably good for me though as the GP has always told me off for not drinking enough.

my sicky feelings only seem to be when i have to get up early, if i can sleep in i feel much better.... had a dull tummy ache last night though and a very sore right boob this morning lol!

OTheHugeManatee · 03/06/2015 08:10

Oyster - yes, I get super thirsty too.

Unlike lots of people here though I seem to get nausea worse when I've eaten, rather than when I'm hungry. Being hungry seems to feel generally fine Confused

Welcome, Billi! What a lot of us there are now Smile

Saw the local midwife yesterday. She's referred me for consultant led care because of this huge fibroid, and my booking in appt is tomorrow! It's all starting to feel a bit more 'official' now Smile

MissMartin1992 · 03/06/2015 08:11

oyster - i was feeling like that yesterday at work and had to keep running off to the toilet in a knicker checking panic mode!

mrschatty · 03/06/2015 08:20

Morning everyone welcome to newbies :) x

Chip86 · 03/06/2015 08:20

Welcome billi
I am 8 weeks today and baby is the size of a kidney bean with arms and legs Grin
Still feeling sick, Yuck!

SleepyDragon · 03/06/2015 08:31

I've lsot track, but has anyone had their booking appointment yet?

I have mine on Friday and eveywhere i've researched says it should take 1 - 2 hours with a midwife yet mine is with my GP and he has only scheduled 20min!!

Confused
OTheHugeManatee · 03/06/2015 08:35

Sleepy - are you sure it's booking in? I saw the midwife yesterday and all she did was fill in the referral form for my chosen hospital, sign the free prescriptions form for me and make me a booking in appointment. If this is your first appointment it might be the same.

moonshine25 · 03/06/2015 08:41

TMI question but does anyone else have a dodgy tummy? Nicest way I can think of putting it!! Haha.

Don't know whether it's pregnancy related or something else! Trying to drink loads of water though!!

mrschatty · 03/06/2015 08:50

I'm going to a personal friend for my midwifery care- she is a nhs midwife- and she said my booking in will be 1 hour, I tagged along to my friends booking in 2 years ago and it really was about an hour xx

loveulotslikejellytots · 03/06/2015 08:51

Moonshine25 - I did around week 5/6. Now 8 weeks and it's gone thankfully.

I've not had my booking in yet (8+3) so I'm going to ring my go later and find out when they do it here. Not easy to phone though, working in an open plan office! There's only one small private room and it's always full! Will try again today.

I seem to have found my holy grail of food to keen my nausea at bay. A ham sandwich and diet coke Hmm nice and healthy! But I've had it 2 days in a row and so far it's worked at making me feel better. Still no actual sickness here, so I'm hoping it's just good luck and everything is ok. I keep having visions of going for my 12 weeks scan and there not being anything there, like I dreamed it all.

SleepyDragon · 03/06/2015 09:00

Hi manatee

When i phoned the GP when i got my BFP i was told my first appointment would be to book me in at around 7/8 weeks (i will be 8+1 on Friday)

They then text me and wrote to me confirming it as a 'booking' appointment which is why i'm so confused at the time etc lol!

the receptionist also told me that when i get there i have to ask them for the paperwork to take in with me.....

frozenfairy123 · 03/06/2015 09:00

It's weird how u don't really believe there is a baby there till u see it on the scan! No idea how they coped before scans. Booking apps should consist of bloods drawn and loads of questions about your family medical history. I think 20 mins wouldn't give u time for all that???
Anyone else got a constant runny nose? Not sure if I have a proper cold or nasal drip? X

OTheHugeManatee · 03/06/2015 09:09

In that case Sleepy I don't know. 20min seems short.

Maybe your GP writes really fast?

Oysterbabe · 03/06/2015 09:13

I think my booking appointment will only be about half hour. I had to fill in loads of forms before and send them off, I think we'll just quickly run through them and she'll take some blood. It says I should take a urine sample though?! I'm not going to as I don't have a suitable pot, they can have one when I get there.
