This little bean does not like any of my favourite foods at all Confused have felt sick alllllll day...the nausea is completely kicking my ass Sad

SleepyDragon · 01/06/2015 16:34

That really is bizarre then joey I'd be phoning them in a panic by now I think lol!

EdgarAllenPoe · 01/06/2015 16:37

Thought I'd share the random food I have eaten today, no meals, just spread evenly throughout the day:

nectarine
ready salted crisps
a small brownie square
4 x wholegrain crispbread
2 x cheddar slices
half a tin of peaches
another packet of crisps!
liquorice stick

I looked at some cucumber but couldn't stomach it. I usually eat loads of veg. I'm not sure if I'm feeling crap because of morning sickness or because my diet is suddenly crap!

Yokyil · 01/06/2015 16:45

edgar I'm the same - my veg intake is zilch at the minute. Having chips and trying to force down a peppered chop as well....it's taking some chewing Confused

moonshine25 · 01/06/2015 16:46

Oh my, tiredness has just hit me big time! I'm also struggling with food at the moment - feel like I'm starving all the time but just don't know what I fancy.

Like you Edgar I've had two bags of crisps and feel rubbish - again don't know whether this is my diet or the moment or just another symptom of pregnancy...

moonshine25 · 01/06/2015 16:47

Oh and can I ask about scans too please? Do you get your first scan date after your booking in appointment?

brickiemum2 · 01/06/2015 16:49

I've had...
2 bowls of dry muesli with fruit
Small cup of lentil soup
1/2 a snack size pork pie

About to have...
Lasagne
Garlic tear and share
Large salad....if I can stomach it.

moonshine25 · 01/06/2015 16:51

Oh Brickie lasagne sounds delicious to me right now!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 01/06/2015 16:59

Edgar Maybe try fruit vegetables when you're feeling not quite as queasy, or mix it with something else. I couldn't eat an apple on it's own, but love eating an apple with a mini babybel.

Today I've had...

  • About five or six m and s ginger biscuits (I checked the packet and they're not that calorific! Impressed!)
  • er....a mini babybel. My new obsession.
  • seven of those quite big ravioli parcel things (filled with veg apparently) with most of a mozzarella ball.
  • Three chewy sweets
  • A good half of a bottle of schweppes zero lemon. It's SO good!

Dinner tonight will be home made veggie burgers with whatever canned vegetables we have left in the cupboard. I'm just about to do a bloody weird looking pregnancy dance workout, and then will get started on food.

Joey0805 · 01/06/2015 17:04

Oh god crisps are heaven at the moment! DH finds it hilarious as I'm normally all about fish and veggies and right now I am mad for crisps and pasta! Luckily though whilst I'm off all meat and fish I am still loving veggies. I've been buying loads of spelt pasta and edamame noodles from wholefoods so I can eat what I'm craving but still be a bit healthy. I'm not sure it's working though - my work dress is feeling very right today!

Joey0805 · 01/06/2015 17:05

Sleepy - I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and will call them Thursday if I've not heard anything by then. I know a lot of people will hate this comment but it's times like this I wonder what the hell I pay so much tax for!!

Phizpop · 01/06/2015 17:54

I've been off MN all weekend to avoid mum seeing any history on my searches...! Think we survived the weekend without parents sussing anything was going on, tho DH found it harder than he thought not to let it slip, a few clues were given away...!

Had to tell my line manager today tho as there was no way I was making it into work on time... Nausea really bad between 7-8am,so changing my hours a little so no one else will suss....(hopefully!) good job it's a flexible job!

Phizpop · 01/06/2015 17:57

Someone else said that bean didn't like their favourite foods... I've really gone off sweet/chocolate things, mainly wanting cheese and crisps...

The fatigue, oh the fatigue.... No one told me about this, it seems to come in waves, suddenly it's a real struggle just to keep my eyes open! Hmm

FizzyPinkWine · 01/06/2015 18:01

I found the new thread!
Feeling nauseous most of the time and have completely gone off anything carby. Bread, potatoes, crisps, chips. Can just about stomach rice.
It's making lunch difficult - I usually have a sandwich and some crisps. The thought of that is not good at the mo!!
Was supposed to be back to school today but came down with tonsillitis over the weekend. Went to OOH doc on sat for antibiotics. Feeling really quite sorry for myself. Can't talk, can't swallow but hungry all the time. Hoping the antibiotics work their magic soon.
Hope everyone else is doing better than me!!

SleepyDragon · 01/06/2015 18:19

Joey I quite agree to be fair!

Oh I am sooooo glad I'm not the only one with 'bad' eating habits lol! I've been doing really well, no cravings, but of nausea but no sickness but today I've eaten crap!

1x plain crisps
1 x prawn cocktail crisps
1 x cheese omelette
1x plain crisps (yes, again)
5 x shortbread fingers

Just cooking chicken and chips for tea too....

Least it'll be better when I'm back at work tomorrow so I can't keep walking to the pantry!!!

I feel so naughty, my poor JellyBean!

Phizpop · 01/06/2015 18:28

FizzyPinkWine sorry to hear how poorly you are, what rough timing for tonsillitis. Hope the antibiotics work their magic quickly, coz a sore throat is no help with the nausea. Get better soon! (And make sure you rest and let your body recover properly! Smile)

brickiemum2 · 01/06/2015 18:31

Curiously my bean doesn't seem to like sweet things. Ate 2 choc digestives the other day and had to lie down for two hours to prevent vomiting. Yesterday had a lovely squishy, fresh chocolate chip cookie and felt bloody awful for hours. I think the sugar/wheat combo is making me really gassy which is making the sickness worse. I feel better today for having a slightly better diet...I managed the salad!

Hope you are better soon fizzy

goodnessgraciousgouda · 01/06/2015 18:39

brickie I can sort of agree about the sweet foods thing. I normally love dark chocolate or milk chocolate with hard caramel bits in it, but recently the only sweet things I can manage are when it's with lots of carbohydrates, like pain au chocolat or flan. The thought of eating just a square of chocolate on it's own seems quite disgusting.

For those suffering with gas/constipation, I've realised that I always feel a lot better after doing some exercise (even something really low impact). I burp a ton during the workout (hence me doing it at home...) , which makes it much more comfortable afterwards. And bathroom issues tend to be less pronounced as well.

Azquilith · 01/06/2015 18:39

So, I am finding the travel sickness bands magical for my nausea. They took half a day to kick in but since then I haven't taken them off.
Delighted especially have killer week at work, around 800 miles and 5 cities to cover, argh.
Hope everyone's doing ok.

TeenieDeenie · 01/06/2015 18:41

Mrschatty, you're number 26?

kep1979 · 01/06/2015 19:19

Well today was quite a day. Arrived home at midday after pretty much 24 hours of travelling back from the states. Had a two hour nap then went for an early scan. Saw Bean and a strong heartbeat Smile Measuring 7 weeks or thereabouts and I'm 7+2 based on LMP, so pretty much spot on. I am so elated, last pregnancy didn't get this far so am feeling hopeful.

I'm also feeling exhausted, jet lagged and nauseous. Bean really doesn't like food at the moment. I am eating hardly anything, so making the most of a sudden craving for chocolate caramel digestives! Dh is a health freak who eats really well and so is quite perturbed by my current not eating/weird cravings! But I am hoping that my appetite will return in a few weeks. I am a recovered anorexic so he also worries about that, but I am a healthy weight and not concerned myself.

TeenieDeenie · 01/06/2015 19:31

Yay Kep, lovely early scan news! Smile

Hoping my early scan will be next week but still no letter from EPU. Was thinking about it last night and started panicking just at the thought, am going to be a nervous wreck. Back to the scene of my mmc... Can't imagine actually seeing something on the screen except an empty space... Does that sound weird?

crumble74 · 01/06/2015 19:54

Funny how different all our cravings/aversions are. I find it really difficult to plan meals for DH & me because I don't know what I will be able to face on any given day.
If I could live off tuna baguettes or cheddar sandwiches I would. Do still like pasta though. And sweet things.

mrschatty · 01/06/2015 20:03

teenie I'm so sorry...its honestly my eyesight Blush

mrschatty · 01/06/2015 20:04

Number 26 says manatee teenie?
