Am impressed by everyone's dreams, you lot have a vivid imagination, but that shouldn't surprise me Grin

Great news on the scan impatiently!

I've booked the harmony test privately too. I am over 40 so the risk of chromosomal abnormalities is quite high. My last pregnancy was at 39 though & the NT result came out as low risk then.

That said, if I were younger and hadn't had 2 MCs I would probably just go for the NHS scans.

MissMartin10 · 06/06/2015 19:03

impatiently great news Grin x

OrangeBeehive · 06/06/2015 19:35

Congrats Impatiently!

Valancy I have also received my scan date today - Friday 26th June, when I'll be 12+6. Feels like the longest wait ever!! I'm definitely getting bigger now but refuse to buy maternity clothes until after the scan. So I have another 3 weeks of wearing my baggiest tops and squeezing into my jeans. Not looking forward to buying maternity wear though, I live in skinny jeans and probably won't be able to find any decent maternity ones - I'm only just getting away with them now, so can't imagine I'll look good in them in a few months time!

OrangeBeehive · 06/06/2015 19:36

And congrats too Cubano, didn't see your post before!

ValancyJane · 06/06/2015 19:49

Orange Similar, I should be 12+5 at mine! Glad we'd decided to have an early scan as it's just sooooo long to wait. I've heard good things about those bellabands so you might be able to stay in your jeans longer!

OrangeBeehive · 06/06/2015 19:59

Valancy Bellaband? Is that like a bump band? Bit confused by how they work...also my best jeans are high waisted, does this matter?

OrangeBeehive · 06/06/2015 20:02

Valancy don't worry, just realised I have access to Google and have checked them out! They look quite good actually....

flyinghighinthesky · 06/06/2015 20:34

Just got home to a doormat full of NHS letters. Scan on July 24th when I'll be 12+6. Have booked a private scan for June 28th as I'm impatient!

Can't decide whether to tell work on 12 weeks assuming all ok with early scan or wait for second one. Guess it will depend how bumpy I look by then. given the amount of carbs I keep shovelling in at the moment will likely be the size of a house.

Wynsey · 06/06/2015 22:13

So I'm 6 + 2 and called to book my 1st Midwive apt on Thursday. Turns out all you do in Scotland is phone this centralised number and you're given your 1st Midwive apt AND scan date at the same time!! So....wasn't expecting that! So scan is the 22nd of July. Cannot wait! It seems so long away!! Smile
My big works night out went well - I don't think anyone suspected I wasn't drinking - I even had an Alcohol Free Kopperberg!! Although someone did say I was very conservative!! Hahaha
My symptoms have been slight tiredness, weird tightening in the tummy and quite bad wind!!! Confused apart from that nothing much else. Also the weirdest thing of all - I don't miss alcohol and I'm eating really healthy!! Something I NEVER thought would happen!!
Currently Having a sleepover with my niece and watching Friends - awesome Saturday night in!!! Grin
Xxx

SleepyDragon · 06/06/2015 22:26

Hi everyone.

Had a lovely day watching DH play cricket. Got home to find that my face is nuclear red from windburn.... Attractive much!

Had a dream last night about this guy I fancied way more than DH but he didn't look like anyone I know or a celeb and I can't bring his face to mind now.... Very bizarre!!

moonshine25 · 06/06/2015 22:54

Ooh wynsey, that's great! Whereabouts in Scotland are you if you don't mind me asking? I've got my midwife appt but think she books the scan from there, I'm in Moray.

Glad you've all had good days, my nausea hasn't been so bad today but think it may be due to the lie in I had this morning Smile

MissMartin10 · 06/06/2015 23:15

moonshine i think your the opposite to me then the longer lie in i have the more add sick i am (BooooSad)

im in bed now and feel like i could throw at anytime.. but that's probably due to the point of strawberry nesquick ive just had- im addicted! lol

Chip86 · 06/06/2015 23:58

Yay great news impatiently and cubaon
Did you pass each other in and out of the scan place?

kep1979 · 07/06/2015 06:50

Great scan news cubano

Well I am having a freak out this morning. Woke up and no agonising boob pain, not even when I poke them. And may be my imagination but I'm worried they have shrunk too. I'm mega worried that something is wrong as this is what happened when I miscarried Hmm Hoping I start feeling shit soon!

fishermanswife1 · 07/06/2015 07:21

Lovely to Hear of the great scans, quite jealous Smile

Try not to worry too much kep. Yesterday my boobs felt normal all day (a first in the last 3 weeks). Nothing to say about them at all. Now I've woken up this morning, rolled over and Shock they're back with a vengeance.

I actually didn't feel pg at all yesterday, which was odd, especially as we were telling ILs... Until we all had a big take out curry in the night. It was so good to eat, but my goodness I've regretted it since. Everyone else fine, but made me so ill. Envy

BeeMyBaby · 07/06/2015 07:26

kep I'll bet it's the calm before the storm and tonight your boobs will be agony. Did you measure the increase in size at all as you might be just psyching yourself out? Do you feel sick etc?

Yes agreed in Scotland it does seem to be simpler giving the midwife and scan appointments all at once over the phone- they have obviously streamlined it as with my previous pregnancies (about 4&6 years ago), it was more like the current English system.

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/06/2015 09:08

Great news on the scan cubano! What did you think you were? I was the same at my early scan, measured 2 days behind, but I'm sticking with my LMP date until my 12 week scan when I'll be 12+3 anyway. It all depends when you ovulated / implanted etc.

wynsey I need to find some alcohol free kopparberg near me! I'm so sick of drinking lemonade at least I can pretend it's real alcohol.

Is anyone else really missing drinking? I only ever drink on the weekends but have to say I do miss it, especially now that the weather's nicer!

orange I'll be 12+3 at my NHS scan! They love to make us wait don't they. V impressed at everyone having a letter with their scan date though, at my booking in appt the midwife just rang up the hospital and I took a note of the date there and then. I'm in Wales, clearly our teeny budget doesn't stretch to paper (thank you David Cameron).

Was everyone else weighed at their midwife appt? I was expecting to be and wasn't! She didn't even mention anything about weight...

mrsfazruns · 07/06/2015 09:22

looking I was weighed and she said I would be weighed at every appt!! AAARRGGGHH

Exciting to see everyone's scans coming through!! Mine is 29th June and can't come quick enough!!

mrsfazruns · 07/06/2015 09:23

Pressed send to early

..... It's exciting now seeing scan dstes come through .... Can't wait till the excitement of seeing everyones birth announcements coming through in Jan x

coffeenut · 07/06/2015 09:35

Gosh. I was away for a week and suddenly we're 23 pages into a new thread!!!

Please tell me that no-one else had to leave in the last week? Fingers crossed, was a bit gloomy before I left Sad.

I've dug my mat jeans and trousers out. Will be 10 weeks on Weds. Harmony bloods to be taken on Thursday this week and scan booked for a couple of weeks time. TBH I'm more stressed about the harmony test than i thought i would be.

MissMartin10 · 07/06/2015 09:56

hey coffee no i dont think there had been..
oh so exciting for you! Grin How are you feeling?

I'm still waiting on my dr appt let alone any midwive or scans haha its so annoying!
i had a dream last night i had the baby and she was a girl and my rp named her Eva? haha now i feel a bit lost cz i had the baby in the dream and now it's still in my belly lol

MissMartin10 · 07/06/2015 09:56

Blackandwhitecat3 · 07/06/2015 10:08

Dreams are crazy at the moment, fortunately I've stopped remembering mine when I wake up.

Whoever was asking about missing drinking - two weeks ago I really wished I could have a nice glass of crisp white wine (which was weird because I've not drunk alcohol for ages whilst ttc/IVF)...now it's a struggle to drink water! I went to an after work function on Friday and just said "I'm driving" when it came to the drinks. Glad I don't have any weddings/hens/birthdays to go to in the next few months!

Moonshine I definitely feel less sick when I've had a lie-in. Soooo much easier.

Wish this weekend would go on for ever!

coffeenut · 07/06/2015 10:29

I may have called my DH an arsehole when he poured himself a large glass of white wine tonight Grin Def missing a glass of wine at the end of the day.

Thanks for the update miss Smile I'm feeling okay. I thought the nausea had passed for good last week but it's back today - oh well. I can't believe you havent had a doc app yet!! FWIW I think Eva is a very cute name!

mrschatty · 07/06/2015 10:34

Hay everyone... Co grays on scans cubano and looking
My hormones were making a a moody cow yesterday DH said snap out of it as we were going out to manchester for night out and I replied no I wanted to be miserable and I honestly did...He started calling me morrissy...
I've not missed alcohol but since finding out I'm pg I've had 3 massive family events...All without a touch of alcohol. I decided last night that's it I'm in hibernation now no one ask me to do anything!! Especially as it took us an hour to get a blinking taxi home !!
