sorry to hear that cotton

fourlegstwolegs · 04/06/2015 21:49

I'm sorry cotton :(
Lots of hugs xxxx

CubanoHabana · 04/06/2015 21:55

I'm taking Christmas hols then officially starting mat leave first day back spring term -but you don't need to go in. Then going back either last week or last day of summer term, or you can have first day of summer hols as day back and get paid the summer hols (I did this last time)

OrangeBeehive · 04/06/2015 21:58

So sorry Cotton, take care Flowers

Thanks for the advice everyone, sounds like I am having better luck than some of you! Moonshine booking in was last Thursday at 8+5 (they see you between 8 and 10 weeks here) and the midwife said I would get my scan date within 2 weeks but it was likely to be sooner as there wasn't much of a waiting list at the moment (or something like that). I'm just impatient and want to know when it is! I have a couple of work engagements during week 12 as well, with travel / cover to arrange if necessary, so really hoping it comes through soon...

moonshine25 · 04/06/2015 21:58

Oh I'm so sorry cotton. I really hope you have support in RL.

moonshine25 · 04/06/2015 22:01

Oh hope so for you Orange! It'll just be nice for us all to know when our booking in appointments and scans are wouldn't it?!

I'm hoping my scan date comes through shortly after my booking in appt because I'm on hol from 11+4 until 13+4 so I'm unbelievably inflexible!

Btw does anyone have bottom ache? Sounds strange but it's like lower back pain into bottom pain...never ever had it before so I'm thinking it may be pregnancy related but no idea!

mrsfazruns · 04/06/2015 22:01

Sorry to hear that news cotton!!

I am in the military and our mat leave is awesome!!

I could literally have written all these updates tonight!! I've had a meltdown tonight as was supposed to have a 4 mile run with my running club but just felt too tired to go!!!

Phizpop · 04/06/2015 22:46

Chip86 · 05/06/2015 01:45

Sorry cotton Flowers sending hugs

moonshine I have bottom ach, as you put it, to me it feels like a trapped nerve, last time it did go, so hope it goes this time.
I have the thurst today and soooo tired

SleepyDragon · 05/06/2015 07:03

Morning all...

Cotton so sorry to hear your news, big hugs.

I'm laid in bed killing time before my 8:40am booking appointment. Ridiculously nervous for some reason, a fact not helped by nausea lol!

haquoi123 · 05/06/2015 07:38

Oh cotton, sorry to hear that xx

EdgarAllenPoe · 05/06/2015 08:17

My morning swim yesterday ended as a morning feeling queasy in the swimming pool car park, so I went straight to work and had a walk instead. Never mind. On the plus side, we're doing a lot of DIY, so although I don't feel I'm doing a lot of 'proper exercise' I am a bit physically active. Spent most of yesterday evening lugging furniture around the place. Trying to get as much done as possible before I start getting big and uncomfortable. I'm paying for it this morning though - shattered!

Oysterbabe · 05/06/2015 08:18

DH says boobs are definitely bigger. He's been checking every day.Hmm

OTheHugeManatee · 05/06/2015 08:26

On a commuter train, feeling bleurgh. I've fortunately been able to work from home for the last two weeks so have had it pretty easy but the project is picking up again now and I need to be in for meetings again.

Good luck to all the queasy people today!

mrschatty · 05/06/2015 08:57

Morning :)
cotton I'm so sorry- hope you're getting lots of RL x
Ice been quite forceful with MW appointments as I knew I am flying on week 12- I found out you can't book your scan until you have had the chat about screening- so I phoned them and said I couldn't wait till my booking in apt which is at 10+3 because it may not leave me enough time to book 1st scan before I go on holiday so they said I could come in for a chat- signed screening consents them went down to scan dept to book myself in- unfortunately though they couldn't get me in before I fly so having it the day after I return at 13+4...hence why I've caved and booked a private scan for 1 week tomorrow woop woop!!
Fringford sorry for myself DH is away to a concert today/tonight I was all set to join...Then we agreed outdoor concert no seats porta-loo people jumping about like crazy best you don't go chatty- going into city with mum and auntie for 'mocktail' instead but seriously wish I was still going to the concert :'(

SleepyDragon · 05/06/2015 09:16

Just got back from booking appointment with GP. Took 25min and didn't need a blood test at this stage as all my details are up to date. She moved my EDD to 16 Jan rather than 14 Jan but based on LMP she put me at 8+2 rather than 8+1....

Took height, weight, blood pressure. Tested wee, no sugars or proteins present and signed me up for free prescriptions (plus gave me a prescription for some more folic acid tablets!)

Felt my tummy, asked about family history so it's been noted that diabetes runs in Mums side of the family.

Then said the hospital will write to me to arrange my 12wk scan within the next 2wk.... All seems scarily and happily real now
I can't stop grinning Grin lol!

mrschatty · 05/06/2015 09:20

sleepy that's great!

Joey0805 · 05/06/2015 09:28

Ah sleepy that's great!

Felt like absolute death on the tube this morning...looking forward to telling work if only so I can wear a Baby on Board badge and get a seat!!!

SleepyDragon · 05/06/2015 09:29

Thanks MrsChatty!

They also gave me the Emma's Diary book as well that I keep seeing mentioned.

SleepyDragon · 05/06/2015 09:31

Thanks Joey

I know what you mean, DH ordered my Baby on Board badge and it arrived last week. I drive to work but he works in the City so I go meet him quite often. Also had to use H&C line other day to get to KX and it was packed out as usual. Felt like I constantly had my hand on my tummy!!

Readyforthefuture · 05/06/2015 09:53

Hi everyone, just been catching up on the last few days, sounds like plenty of symptoms are setting in now Sad

cotton I'm really sorry to hear your news Flowers

Maternity leave is a tough one, I too was planning to work up until Xmas then take holiday into the new year, and start maternity on the 2nd jan. but everything I'm reading on the twin thing says I'll likely deliver in January - but really want as much time as poss with the babies when they arrive. My maternity is also crap, the usual smp which is a bitter pill to swallow. It sounds like those of us on that deal are more in the private sector?

sleepy my go mentioned Emma's diary but they'd run out when I was there, but the website seems pretty good too.

SleepyDragon · 05/06/2015 09:57

Hi Ready

I'm about quarter of the way through it but really need to put it down to go do some food shopping whilst I'm not feeling queasy lol! You can get a lot of vouchers through it and freebies by the looks of things as well as advice.

Any changes just shout! Smile

moonshine25 · 05/06/2015 10:49

Thanks for updating Teenie!

MrsChatty, I may have to do the same as you re scans etc, we go away in my 11th week and come back at the end of my 13th week and I really don't want to have to wait until then so I'm hoping they can fit me in earlier....if not think I'll have to persuade to DH that a private scan is needed!!

Hope everyone is coping with the nausea/morning sickness!!
